The Priest says that Jalal will have to give wealth to Jodha that is lot of gold coins, tons of gold, specials stones etc, Jodha says that’s it? I don’t want it, I want more, all are shocked. The Priest says this was written at the time of marriage, Jodha says it’s less, when a girl comes to her in-law’s house, she makes new relationship, I made relationship with Hamida, Jalal, with other wives and all, will these relationship end with this divorce? This is injustice.
Jalal says what relationship are you talking about? Hamida doesn’t even take you as her daughter-in-law, I am giving you divorce as per rules. Jodha says if that’s the case, then this wealth is less, I want more wealth, Jalal says you will will get what you want, I will open my treasury for you, Jalal ask to bring gold. The Soldiers bring gold biscuits, Jalal ask if It’s fine?
Jodha says NO, I want more, Jalal ask to bring jewelry, all are confused with Jodha’s behaviour, Hamida takes off her jewelry and puts it in Jodha’s stuff, Jalal is angry.
Jodha looks at Hamida, then looks at the gold and jewelry placed in front of her, she comes, and takes Hamida’s earrings which she had placed there, she says to Jalal that I don’t want anything else now, this is my wealth, Jalal says but this is just earrings? I am giving you a lot of wealth?
Jodha says for me, only this matters, my Mother have given me this, this is Marium Makani’s (Queen Mother’s) earrings, they are respectable, so nothing matters in front these earrings, I don’t want anything more.
Hamida feels guilty and in tears looks at Jodha.
Jodha says to Jalal that I accept your divorce and I am ready to leave, Jalal says fine! Jodha starts leaving.
Hamida stops her and says you will not go anywhere and Jalal will not divorce you! She comes to Jalal and says you can’t divorce Jodha, this is your Mother’s order! Jalal ask all to leave except his family, all the Ministers leave.
Jalal ask Hamida Why? I am the King, nobody can stop me, Hamida says I am Marium Makani (Queen Mother) and you will not divorce her, what has she done?? That she went against you for the first time, she has always done things for me and you!
Jalal says she went against me, she tried to change her religion, Hamida says she was forced by me, I accept that I pressurized her to change her religion, I wanted to stop the war, so I stopped eating and my daughter, Jodha who loves me a lot, had no choice, but to change her religion, she is not to be held responsible, but me, I didn’t know Jodha will have to bear such punishment because of all this, I am the King’s Mother and I order you to not divorce her!
Jalal smiles broadly, all are stunned, he says;
I will never understand the relationship of Mother and daughter-in-law, I am sorry to all of you, I did this drama of giving divorce to Jodha, I had no intention of divorcing her, I knew Jodha was pressurized, Hamida didn’t tell me this, but I could sense that, I just wanted to make Hamida believe that she is wrong, she went against a daughter for whom she used to fight with me, you both have set example of daughter and mother relationship, you both have given me strength to fight in war, so why this fight?
Hamida cries and says to Jodha, that I am sorry, I did a mistake. Jodha says elders should only raise hands to bless, not to say sorry, they hug each other, all smile.
Jalal says if everything is fine between you both, then I am also sorry with Jodha, Jodha angrily leaves from there.
Hamida ask Jalal to pacify my daughter, else I will not see your face! Jalal says you are weird, first you didn’t want to see her face, and now for her, you will not see my face?
Jalal comes to Jodha, Jodha is packing her stuff and says I am leaving! He says it was just a drama, Jodha says everything is a joke for you! How easily you said that you don’t love me anymore, you will divorce me! Did you ever think how much it hurts my heart? I didn’t agree with you for once, so you took decision to divorce me, you have hurt me a lot of time!
Jalal says you know, I didn’t mean that, she pushes him and ask him to go! Jalal says come with me once, Jodha says I don’t want to come! He drags her and brings her to rhe terrace, he says look at the stars, till they are in the sky, till then, I will not leave you, I only did that drama so that your relationship with Hamida becomes fine.
Jodha says like stars, your love fades away in the morning, just divorce me and leave me, I will get alot of wealth and will live peacefully! Jalal says you want to leave me? Jodha says I want to leave all these tensions!
Jalal says what you want? I can say sorry like Aram bano, sitting on my knees, Jodha smiles and says you want me to stop? Jalal says yes, she says you will do what I will say? Jalal says everything, Jodha says you will have time? Jalal says I willl take time out for you.
Jodha says okay, I have some conditions, she says when I call you to walk in the garden with me, then you have to leave your work and come, Jalal agrees, She says when I feel like eating Mangoes, then you have to pluck them from the tree, Jalal agress, Jodha keeps telling him conditions and he agrees to all, still worried for her. Jodha says now, hold your ears and be like Hen while saying sorry, Jalal says anyone can see me here, let’s go into the room.
Jodha says you hurt me in front of everyone, so say sorry in front of all too, Jalal says okay, if you want, then I wil do it, he holds his ear and he’s about to sit down but Jodha stops him and says don’t use the word Divorce again. He says NEVER! She hugs him.
Jalal says all were taking your side, Salim said that if you give divorce to Mother, then I will not become King, Jodha says what? He called me Mother? Jalal nods, Jodha says my Son returned to me, she hugs Jalal.
Jodha comes to Salim, she says to him that why did you say NO to the Next King’s Title? Salim says I thought Jalal is doing wrong with you, Jodha says you took my side? He says yes, did i do wrong? Jodha says yes, when Parents fight, children don’t have to take one’s side, Jalal wants to see you as King, promise me that in future, you will be on both sides, you will not go against Jalal, you will not insult your Parents, Salim says from which mud you are made from Mother? Jodha gets emotional and ask him to repeat it, he repeats it, she caresses his face and says I can’t believe that you called me Mother, call me that once again, he again says it.
Jodha have tears in her eyes and says I was dying to hear this word, you used to call me Queen, Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen/Queen Mother) and all, and all I wanted to hear was this word Mother and you fulfilled my wish, I kept praying to Khana about this, today is the best day, I got my Mother, Husband and also my Son back, Salim smiles
Jodha ask him to take the Title of the Heir, he nods, she says I have one request, don’t be miffed with Jalal, he loves you a lot, Salim says I don’t understand him, he talks like father sometimes, but sometimes, he becomes only King, but I will try to be nice with him for you, Jodha smiles.
Hoshiyar gives hunter (Cane) to Ruqaiya and says I know you are angry, as Jalal didn’t divorce Jodha and as per my experience, you beat me in anger, so I brought things in advance like hunter (Cane), burning coals and cutter.
Ruqaiya looks at the Hunter, burning coals, she says to Hoshiyar that I will not punish you today, because I knew from before that Jalal is thinking of something, he can’t divorce Jodha like this, this was not my trick, so I should not be sad about its failure, my real prey is Salim and I will not let my hard work go in vein, as Salim is getting soft corner for his Mother (Jodha) and now, I have to do something that will make Salim hate his Mother again!
Jalal announce Salim as the Next King and makes him wear the Crown, Murad is angry, all chant for Salim, Haidar’s Uncle says to Murad that I am feeling bad, I wanted you to be Next King, but fate wanted something else.
Jodha has tears in her eyes, Salima ask why are you crying? Jodha says these are tears of happiness, Ruqaiya thinks Jodha, you have given birth to Salim, but he is my Son and I will not let you snatch him away from me!
Jodha says to Salima that Salim called me Mother, I am so happy, Ruqaiya is shocked.
Fazal says to Jalal that I got letter from Saudia Arabia, now our people can go to pilgrimage there, Jalal says this is real win, now my family and people both are away from any danger.
Other side, Laboni’s mother says to Laboni that wait for tonight and Jalal will be yours, she laughs.
In the Palace, Jalal looks at Jodha and smiles, she smiles back.
In the morning, Jalal comes to the garden, Jodha greets him.
Maan Singh says to Jalal that I am sorry I took you wrong, Jalal says I am your Uncle right now and to tell you that Jodha is my Wife and will not let her go anywhere, and how can I let you go? You are the most loyal to me.
Salim says to Hamida that you make very good sweet dish, Jalal says you are right, my Mother makes the best sweet dish, Jodha says to Hamida that don’t come in their talks, Jalal was saying same to Salima yesterday, they do buttering when they have some work,
Jalal says so daughter and mother on one side again? Jodha says why not, when mother is like Hamida and Daugther is like me, she hugs Hamida, Jalal acts and says I have head ache, can you massage my head?
Salim look at Jalal, he winks, Salim acts and says I have head ache too, can you massage my head? Jalal says now, we have to see whom Jodha will give massage too, her Son or her husband? Jodha is confused.
Hamida says don’t tease my daughter, I will massage my Son’s head and Jodha will massage her Son’s head, they do their massage.
Moti comes and says today is Prayer, Jodha says to Jalal that I have arranged ptayer for father-son relationship, the Prayer is tonight, Jalal says to Salim that we will attend Prayer then, Salim agrees.
Jodha does Jalal and Salim’s tilak.
Jodha and Jalal are in bed, Jodha is in his arms, hands in hand, Jodha says you can’t divorce me, Jalal says thank God, we have no incarnation concept, else I would have to bear you for 7 births, I pity men of your religion, Jodha says what? I irritate you? Jalal says you made me Hen, Servant from King, Jodha gets up and says if you have problem with me, then I am going!
Hamida comes Jodha, Jodha says why did you come? You could have called me? Hamida smiles and says I can call anyone in my room, but can I call Khana ji? Hamida says I wish that bad phase could have not come into our lives, Jodha says that have made us come more closer and things happen between daughters and mothers, she says to Hamida let’s go, it’s time to take rest.
Jodha is learning English from Ambassadors of England, she learns it fast, Jalal comes there, they leave, Jodha ask Jalal how are you? (in english) Jalal ask what? Jodha says this means how it’s your health? Jalal says you are learning fast, Jodha says when we are doing business with them, we should learn their language, he says for me, only 3 words are enough, which is I LOVE YOU, Jodha smiles, they hug.
Jalal is practicing sword fighting with Maan Singh, Jalal says you are so good that one day, you will beat me, Maan Singh says I don’t need win in which you lose, Jalal says very nice, Jalal says for a Teacher, it is a great thing that his Student surpasses him.
Murad is drinking wine and recalls how Jalal gave title to Salim as he is the elder brother, he is drunk, he’s about to fall, but Daniyal comes and ask him to stop it! What if Jalal sees you like this? Murad says then what will he snatch from me? He made me see dreams and then snatched it, he should also see what pain I am going through, we are just toys for Jalal, I also fought in war, but who was praised? It was Salim, I am just a Servant here! Daniyal says I understand, but you can’t destroy yourself, if Jalal sees you like this, then your respect will be gone, Murad laughs and says we have no value here, as long as Salim is the star of Jalal’s eyes, we have no future here.
Anarkali is liting oil lamps in her home, Salim comes there, Anarkali shyly smiles seeing him, Salim comes to her, looks at her and says you are looking very beautiful, these oil lamps can’t compete with your beauty, Anarkali blushes, she then says that you should not come here, Jalal has ordered you to not meet me, Salim says that was for Salim only, not for the next King, soon, I will talk to Jodha and she will make Jalal agree too, and everything will be fine, Anarkali smiles and says do you think Jalal will agree? Salim says yes, I have faith that he will agree, Jalal loves me a lot, he will not let my love go away from me, soon, I will be King of India and you will be Queen of India.
Anarkali laughs, she says I recalled our childhood fights, Salim says yes, you used to fight a lot and was irritating, Anarkali says what am I now? Salim says now you are peace of my heart, my most precious thing, I love you a lot, they share eyelock, Salim touches her face with peacock feather, they come closer, Rabba is pyaar mein plays… Anarkali hugs him.
