In the morning, Roshni wakes up in a different room. She gets a call from DD asking if she is fine. Roshni tells DD she’s fine and she slept well.
Grandma Khurana, Raj’s Mother comes to visit. Simran and Raj welcome her. Simran is very wary of her. She asks for Sid’s wife?
Simran tells her to rest for a while first.
Grandma Khurana tells Simran not to tolerate her daughter-in-law sleeping in so late!
Raj and Simran take her to the dining to eat, but she says she won’t eat anything till she sees Roshni! She complains that she has been around for over half an hour, but she’s yet to see Roshni!
Roshni comes into the living room.
Grandma tells her to come to the table, as she can’t turn her head!
Roshni approaches her and touches her feet. Grandma complains that Roshni didn’t cover her head, she’s supposed to cover her head when greeting an elder! She puts a scarf on Roshni’s head and Roshni touches her feet. Grandma says she will teach Roshni how to behave and do house chores!
Roshni is not happy.
Sid comes out to greet his Grandmother. She asks how he’s been? He tells Roshni to prove to his Grandmother that she is a good daughter-in-law by going down on her knees at least 51 times!
Raj tells Roshni that she doesn’t have to do it. His Mother scolds him and tells Roshni she’s waiting! Raj says there is no need for her to do it.
Roshni says if it is their custom, she would do it. Grandma says she’s impressed!
Krutika and Rajveer come out to watch.
Sid counts as Roshni gets on her knees and bows before his Grandmother, 51 times.
Roshni is tired by the time she’s done.
Grandma Khurana says she’s a good girl and she will give her a reward for doing it. She takes off her bangles and says they are from her ancestors, but she never gave them to Simram because she wanted to give them to Sid’s wife one day.
Simram is not happy.
Roshni is laying in bed, in pain because her back hurts.
Sid enters and tries to apply balm on her back, but she moves away from him. He holds her down and says he wants to help her. Roshni asks how dare he touch her! He says he didn’t come because he loves her, he wants to help her and it’s not his intention to torture her for the 3 months she will be living here, so the ball is now in her court! He leaves the room and Roshni tells herself that Sid is wrong if he thinks she’s scared of him!
She vows to teach him a lesson!
Roshni returns the bangles to Grandma Khurana. She asks her why?
Roshni says she and Sid are no longer…
Raj enters the room and interrupts her, saying he wants some tea and he would like her to help make it.
As Roshni is about to go, Grandma tells her to gather everyone in the living room as she wants to address them!
Roshni follows Raj out and asks why he stopped her from telling her the truth? Raj says his Mother really loves her and Sid and it will break her heart to hear the bad news. He says he will tell her the truth when she goes back, but not whilst she’s in the house with them. Roshni says Raj is the only one left in the family who cares about her deeply, so she won’t do anything to hurt his feelings.
Raj thanks her and says they should go and listen to what his Mother has to say.
Grandma Khurana announces that they will perform a Ceremony in Roshni’s honour because her relatives moved to Mumbai and she wants them to meet Sid and his wife.
She says she wants the Ceremony to be done in 2 hours.
Simran says Sid and Roshni have been married for a while now and there is really no need for that.
Grandma says she has come for the first time since after Sid’s wedding and all she wants is for her relatives to meet the Couple. She tells Simran to dress Roshni up like it’s her wedding day.
Krutika and Rajveer are watching and not happy about the attention Roshni is getting from Grandma.
Grandma tells Sid to also dress up for the occasion. She also tells Roshni to go and dress up.
Sid tells Roshni to come with him.
Grandma gets excited seeing them act so in love.
Krutika complains to Rajveer that it’s nonsense that she has to do so much for Roshni! Raj tells her not to worry.
Grandma gsts a necklace for Roshni and sees her in another room. Grandma enters the room and asks Roshni why she is getting dressed all by herself in a different room?
She takes Roshni to Sid’s room and says she never wants to see her in the other room again and that there’s nothing wrong if the husband and wife change dress in front of each other. She asks her to get ready well, with extra makeup.
Sid comes out of the bathroom in a towel and runs back in.
When Grandma leaves the room, he comes back out and stands in the doorway. Roshni is shocked to see him. She says she only agreed to come back to the room because of his Grandmother!
Sid tells her to pick up his clothes and wash them. Roshni asks if she looks like a laundry Machine?
Sid comes into the room and Roshni laughs when she sees his little towel.
Sid hurriedly covers himself with the blanket and Roshni laughs even harder at him. She says it’s her blanket and she will have to give it to laundry now.
Grandma is with Simran and Raj in the living room. She tells Simran to call DD and invite her to the event. Simran says DD is out of town. Raj tells Simran that DD is back in town, and he saw her (DD) yesterday and waved her hi from his Car.
Grandma tells Simran to call DD!
Simran doesn’t have a choice. She calls DD and speaks in a cheery voice, asking how she is? DD wonders what has come over Simran.
Simran says her Mother-in-law is in town and wants to host an event in Roshni’s honour and it would be good for her to be there.
Grandma takes the phone from Simran and invites DD herself.
Roshni has taken off the paint from her face. Sid asks her how she got the paint off?
Roshni says her Grandmother gave her a tip. She decides to help him after initially ignoring him. She uses lemon to wipe the paint off his face.
Grandma’s relatives say they are leaving because they have things to do and they are tired of waiting!
They all stand up to leave even as Grandma begs them to wait.
Sid and Roshni appears.
Roshni greets all the women by touching their feet, and they are all impressed with her.
Krutika is shocked and upset to see her plan failed.
Grandma performs the function and the Women give Roshni gifts. Grandma asks Krutika to keep the gifts 🎁🎁🎁 in Roshni’s room. Krutika smirks and angrily takes gifts from Roshni. Grandma tells Roshni to go and serve food to the guests. She then asks the guests to come to the dining table.
The guests and Grandma are seated at the dining, having a meal.
One of the Women asks Roshni if she made the food? Roshni says she didn’t. They ask if she even knows how to cook or she’s some modern woman? Grandma boasts that Roshni can cook a lot of dishes.
One of the guests suggests that all their daughters-in-law have a cooking competition next week to determine who can really cook.
Grandma and Roshni panic.
