One disciple pays drum while the Priest blows conch. Another disciple opens one door. They bring in a big box. Sagar requests them not to kill Gangaa. Leave me. Niru asks Inspector to hurry up. Gangaa’s life is in danger. Gangaa is forced to sit inside the box. Gangaa and Sagar scream each other’s name. Amma ji looks on in shock. She continuously prays to God to save Gangaa. Bal Mahant feels bad for her. Sagar suddenly shouts that there is a snake around. Everyone runs helter-skelter. Sagar opens the box. He shouts Run away, Gangaa. Listen to me today at least! Sahyogi asks everyone to calm down. Catch that girl! Sagar is happy as he knows how fast Gangaa runs. No one will be able to catch her. Sahyogi’s men are after Gangaa, but they lose track of her. Niru and the Policemen reach the ashram.
Gangaa hears someone calling out for help. It is Bal Mahant’s mother. Gangaa frees her. Who is she and who locked her here?
Sagar tells Inspector that he helped Gangaa flee or these people would have killed her forcefully. Inspector corners Sahyogi. You fool innocent people. You will be punished for your misdeeds today. Sahyogi asks him for proof. Gangaa walks in with Mahant ji’s mother. She is the witness. Mahant’s mother slaps Sahyogi. You are a cheater! You trapped my son for your benefit. You wanted to kill my son just the way you killed Mahant Sadanand ji? You lied to everyone. You have cheated everyone. You have done an unrighteous thing. You will never be happy. People will never forgive you. The Priest is shocked to know the truth. Police arrests Sahyogi.
Mahant ji hugs his mother. Gangaa quietly leaves from there. Sagar begins to talk to Gangaa, but does not notice her. Where is Gangaa? Amma ji too looks around.
Barkha is looking at the old pics. She appreciates Niru. He still looks the same. His age has stopped. I want a husband like him. Madhvi is more worried about what will be happening in Matth. Barkha tells her not to worry. Jijz will take care of everything. Madhvi cannot calm down by her words. Barkha notices Amma ji entering inside. Niru comes with her. Madhvi can see that he looks angry. Hope everything is ok?
Niru is upset with his mother as she did not tell him about Jal Samadhi. Thankfully, Sagar called me. Would you have stopped them on your own? Amma ji replies that she could not think of anything at that time. I don’t like her but I cannot force her to die. Sagar could not find Gangaa anywhere in the house. He had thought she would be here. Niru reasons that Gangaa won’t come as she could not fulfil her promise. Sagar nods. Gangaa is arrogant. She won’t come back till Dadi brings her back. Niru offers to do it. I will bring her back with me at any cost. Amma ji asks him if he will yet again go against his mother? Niru nods. Your words are important, but it is equally important for me to fulfil my responsibility towards the girl whom I had brought home. Amma ji knows that Gangaa won’t come. She did not fulfil my promise. You know my stubbornness, but have you seen how stubborn she is? I can bet she won’t come back. Niru knows how much Gangaa loves her self respect, but today she will have to come. He leaves.
Prabha is telling her friend about Gangaa. Amma ji is very strict. She never listens to anyone. She won’t let Gangaa come back ever. She notices the beautiful cup set. Her friend shares that she got it from Germany. She asks a servant to clean the mess as Prabha spills the tea. Her friend has gotten the rest of the stuff from UK. Prabha mistakes it for Uttarakhand. Her friend excuses herself to attend to a phone call. Prabha rues that she didn’t get lucky like her friend. My husband is good for nothing. Her friend wants to meet Prabha at her home too. Prabha does not want her friend to come to her small house. I will have to do something else. She lies to her friend. My husband is not back from Singapore yet. I will call you over to my house as soon as he is back. Her friend asks her the connection between Indian Railways and Singapore? Prabha cooks up a story. Prabha thinks of doing something to make an impression on her friend.
Gangaa is in the ashram. She thinks of all that happened today. She is sad as she couldn’t fulfil her promise given to Amma ji. Sudha and all the ladies come there. Sudha gives guava to Gangaa. I know you don’t like alms. I have plucked it from a tree after taking the permission of the guard. Gangaa takes it. Sudha asks her if she knew the last answer? Gangaa nods. Sudha hugs her. Why did you keep quiet then? Anything could have happened to you. Weren’t you scared? Gangaa denies it. You all were there to help me, but Mahant ji only had his mother by his side. She was crying badly. What would have happened to her if he had died? It is good that Amma ji stopped me from giving the answer. Sudha talks about her promise to Amma ji. How will you go back in that house then? Gangaa replies that she can never go back in that house now. Niru asks her why she is saying so? I have come to take you with me.
Madhvi brings milk for Sagar. He is sitting by the window. She asks him to have milk. You have been running around all day without eating or drinking anything. Plus, I will be really upset if you do anything stealthily next time. He says sorry to her. I was worried for Gangaa. You had told me not to go, so I went without telling you. He is not in a mood to drink milk. She tells him not to worry. Papa will bring Gangaa. Sagar knows how stubborn Gangaa is. She won’t listen to anyone including Papa. Madhvi has faith in Niru. He too hopes that his father is able to bring Gangaa back. It will prove if her self-respect matters more to her or my friendship? Madhvi hopes that Gangaa agrees to return home.
Niru reminds Gangaa that it was he who brought her home from the ghaat. I took all your responsibility back then. I too have the same rights today. You are right. Amma ji has not asked me to bring you back yet, but I will do it. You will live with us. She could not fulfil her promise. How will I face Amma ji then? I will be a liar then. I miss all of you a lot. I can live in ashram while missing you all and crying for you, but I won’t be able to live in the house without fulfilling my promise. It will eat me from inside. Niru nods. I know how much you love your self-respect. I had understood it from day one that you won’t compromise it even if the situation is worst. Still I came to take you with me. I thought you might change your mind, but no problem. I won’t pressurize you. Follow your heart. But you will tell your Sir whenever you need something? She nods. He tells her to take care of herself. He sadly leaves from there. Sudha and all the ladies are moved to tears. Sudha stops Mamta from going after Gangaa as she runs inside. Let her stay alone for a while. She won’t cry before us. She knows that she only has blocked her way to go back to Amma ji’s house. She must be hurt. She will feel better if she cries.
Sagar is not happy to know that Gangaa didn’t come today too. Our friendship stands nowhere before your self-respect!
Gangaa looks out of the window. She reminisces the old times with Chaturvedi family. Sorry Sir. I hurt you by refusing to come with you. Sagar too must be angry with me. He will never understand why I said so.
In his room, Sagar thinks that Gangaa will never consider him her friend. You didn’t do right with me. I won’t forgive you even if you apologize to me 10 times.
Next morning, Sagar has kept kites and the wooden bicycle on the bed. He looks angry. Barkha brings Banana milkshake for him. He refuses to drink it. Let me do my work. I am going to return all her stuff to her when she does not want to come back. I am going to return it all to her. Barkha stops him. Gangaa will come one day. Let her stuff stay here. Sagar refuses. She has proved what she finds more valuable already. I am going. Barkha fails in stopping him. You worry so much about her. You think you will get her out of your life by returning her things to her? No, it cannot happen. Her phone rings. She picks up the call and simply says that she is coming.
Amma ji lights incense sticks before her late husband’s photo. Like every year, I wanted to do your Death Anniversary following proper rituals today as well, but I won’t be able to do it. Please forgive me. Hope you understand my problem. Niru joins her. She sits down on the bed. Niru and Madhvi pay respect to Niru’s late father. Gautam (Bal Mahant’s real name) says I am not a Mahant, but a Brahmin for sure. I know all the rituals. This was what was decided for the competition if I lose. Niru says you won. Gautam shares that Gangaa helped him win. She is great that she helped me win by telling me the answer. She won in reality. I should be doing this much at least. I have come to do the ceremony, but only if you allow me. Amma ji nods. She asks Maharaj ji to make all the preps. Gautam wants to meet Gangaa first. I got free from the Head Priest because of her. I got this life because of her. I want to thank her first. Where is she? Everyone is quiet. He wants to know if she went back to the ashram to live with the widows? Amma ji asks them to sit. Gangaa will come. Niru asks Gautam to sit. Amma ji thinks that Gangaa will keep on creating problems for her even if she is away from the house. Mahant ji wants to meet her. What should I do now?
On the road, Gangaa thinks of today’s Death Anniversary. I failed my promise. Now I won’t be able to go back to the house. Barkha engages in a fight with an auto driver as he is charging more money than necessary. Gangaa intervenes. She actually helps Barkha in gaining extra 20 bucks back. Gangaa leaves. Barkha calls out for Gangaa, but she is gone. Barkha gets a call from the person she has come to meet. He is late. Barkha thinks that she couldn’t even say thanks to that girl. She was so cute. Maybe she was a widow. She realises that it must be Sagar’s Gangaa! Good choice, Sagar! She is something.
The ashram ladies feel bad for Gangaa. Now she will have to live all her life in the ashram. Sudha is worried till when will Gangaa stay hungry? She doesn’t eat anything from the alms that we get. None of them have seen her since morning. Gangaa enters just then. Gangaa says I won’t be able to go back to Sir’s house ever now. I need money to sustain my life and studies. She got work from her. I will get money for my expenses by doing something and other. Amma ji asks her who will do household work if she will be busy with all this? Have you decided to trouble these ladies now? Only I can handle you, not them! Come now. Let them all live in peace.
She adds that Maharaj ji has aged before his age. Mehri is good for nothing. I have a lot to do for the ceremony. Come with me. Gangaa and everyone is thrilled that Amma ji has come to take Gangaa home with her. Gangaa broadly smiles at Amma ji. You said you will never come to take me. How did this happen today? Amma ji gives her no straight answer. I don’t want to change my mind. Gangaa yet again asks her if she came as she defeated Mahant ji? Gangaa knows that she will scold her, but never say that she misses her. Amma ji gives her answers in her style. I don’t like carrying problems with me all the time. Come with me if you want to. Gangaa nods. She hugs Aunt Sudha and Pishi Ma. Take care both of you. She runs to get her potli (purse). Gangaa remarks that Amma ji looks someone else when she acts angry. Amma ji says Let us go home now. We have a lot to do. You don’t look good when you talk sweetly. Everyone smiles hearing their bitter-sweet convo.
Gangaa enters Chaturvedi Sadan. She thinks of the old times. I am back to my house, my family now. I used to miss them all so much. Now I will live here forever. Niru and Madhvi, Maharaj ji and Mehri come out to welcome her inside. Amma ji remarks that Sir started showering his love again. He asks them all if they want to take Gangaa’s aarti. Let us all go inside. Gangaa asks Madhvi how she is? Madhvi nods that she is good. Bal Mahant ji is waiting for you. Niru holds out his hand for her. She gladly keeps her hand in his. Title track plays… All of them get inside together. Gangaa thinks of Sagar. He used to ask me to come. Now he hasn’t come down to meet me. He must be in his room.
Sagar comes to the ashram. He returns Gangaa’s stuff to Pishi Ma. Tell her to keep her things with her. Tell her that I am angry with her. I don’t want to see her face or ever talk to her. Sudha says this cannot happen. It all went wrong. Amma ji took Gangaa home. Sagar is thrilled to know it. I should have been at home to welcome her. He runs out. Sudha and everyone smiles.
Gautam thanks Gangaa for what she did for him. Amma ji thinks that this wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t stopped Gangaa at the right time. Gautam’s mother tells Gangaa that she got selfish and asked Amma ji to stop you in time. Gangaa replies that she did what she felt was right. My Amma ji is very good. She is like coconut. She only had sent Aunt Sudha to call the police. She is so smart. Niru feels proud of both Gangaa and his Mother. They took the right decision on time. Gautam wants to live his old life. I will study now. Bada Panda had trapped me. Gangaa is amazed to know that he studies. Gautam’s mother shares that Gautam is very good in studies. The Head priest had trapped my son for money as we aren’t rich.
Prabha is shocked to see Gangaa back inside Chaturvedi House. She tells Amma ji you stooped down before her? How and why did you give in before her? Amma ji rues that now, she will rub salt to her wounds. Gangaa says it wasn’t a game. Prabha is irked by her talks like always. Amma ji asks Madhvi to make preps for the ceremony. Gangaa assures her that she will take care of everything along with Maharaj ji’s help.
Niru remarks that the house has become so alive after Gangaa’s return. Prabha makes faces. She tries to instigate Amma ji, but she doesn’t let her utter even a word.
Gangaa makes all the preps for the ceremony in the kitchen. She even stops Maharaj ji from doing anything. Prabha says she is working as if this is her own house. Amma ji is impressed by her work. How did you get so good in all this? Gangaa replies that she learnt everything from Aunt Sudha and Pishi Ma. I will do anything if you say it sweetly. No one can force me to do anything if they are angry. We will have to clean Mahant ji’s feet today as he has come to do the ceremony today. He is older than us after all.
Gautam does the ceremony. Sagar excitedly enters calling out for Gangaa. She asks him to stop there. Amma ji nods. The puja (prayer) has begun. She sends Gangaa to bring something from inside. Sagar feels sad that Gangaa is already busy in her work. I came to welcome her. Gautam guides Niru about the rituals. Amma ji sends Gangaa inside the kitchen to make bhog. Sagar is worried as Gangaa got busy yet again. When will she talk to me?
Gangaa looks after all the preps of the bhog. Sagar came so late. How do I talk to him in between all this? Sagar looks at her. The puja and lunch finished. Will you come to talk to me now or is there still more work?
Gangaa apologizes to Gautam. I spoke rudely to you that day. He too knows he behaved badly with her. She says they are at equal points now. Gautam smiles. Sagar thinks that she doesn’t have time to talk to him, but can talk to Mahant ji. Gautam leaves with his mother. Before leaving, Niru thanks him for doing his father’s ceremony.
Gangaa thinks of talking to Sagar now, but can’t see him around. He is bad. He didn’t even wait for me.
Niru tells Raghav ji that he got a little late. I will leave for court pretty soon. Barkha greets him good morning with a side hug. Madhvi looks uncomfortable. He asks Barkha where she has been? Barkha lies that she went to the market to buy something. I met a very strong character girl in the market. Auto driver was charging me extra and that girl scolded him! Gangaa bluntly asks her what she is doing in her house? Why did you hold Sir like that? Madhvi was about to tell Gangaa about her sister, but Barkha is way too excited. I was talking about you. You are Sagar’s Gangaa, right? Amma ji and Prabha hear it as well. Prabha emphasises on the last line. Gangaa nods. But who are you? Barkha is amazed at her attitude. We will rock together. Give me high five. Gangaa refuses to shake hands with strangers. Niru and Madhvi smile. Madhvi introduces Barkha to Gangaa. Gangaa looks at Barkha from head to toe. She doesn’t look like you (Madhvi) at all. Look how she speaks to Sir. Barkha and Gangaa cutely fight over Niru. He has to intervene to calm the situation. I am her Brother-in-law just like I am your father (Sir). What do you want as a gift? You have done such a big thing. You should get a prize for coming back to the house. Gangaa is more than happy to be back in the house. Barkha asks her if she met Sagar? Ganga denies it. I cannot meet him as I have a lot to do. He would have come to me if he wanted to talk. She leaves. Barkha asks for juice from Madhvi. She goes inside to bring it. Prabha leaves for her house.
Niru asks Barkha not to take Gangaa’s words to heart. She is little, but has a very pure heart. Barkha didn’t mind it at all. I am also like her. Amma ji thinks of 2 problems that are inside her home. She has pain in her back. She asks Mehri to bring water for her. I need to take medicine. She watches Niru and Barkha talking happily to each other. Mehri decides to talk to Amma ji now. This is the right time.
Barkha is waiting for her friend outside the court. Raghav ji meets Barkha. He recognizes her as well. She is a little taken aback to see him. He says Niru isn’t here yet. She makes an excuse and leaves from there. Raghav ji is confused. If she had to meet Niru, then what was she doing outside some other lawyer’s cabin?
Barkha tells her friend that she couldn’t wait outside for long. Barkha ends the call as she spots her college mates. They ask her where she has been? You didn’t attend internship duty since the last few days. Barkha lies that she was unwell. They tease her as she is outside a court. People go to Doctors when they are unwell, but you are here. Did you fall for any lawyer? Barkha makes an excuse and leaves in an auto.
Mehri goes to give water to Amma ji in her room. She also tells her about Barkha lying to her sister about going to the university. She was nearby Sir’s office. She lied to her own sister about her whereabouts. But why? Something is wrong. Madhvi overhears everything from outside the door.
Amma ji asks her not to meddle in her household affairs. Madhvi gets thinking. What prompted Barkha to go to Niru’s office? Why did she hid it from me?
Barkha thinks of buying a perfume. I am confused about the brand though. She calls Niru to ask him about the perfume he uses. Prabha meets Barkha there. She is upset to know that Barkha has come here for shopping. I know you have come to buy something for your boyfriend. Barkha fumbles while making excuses. She leaves. Prabha is sure something is wrong. Barkha was cooking up stories.
Gangaa is in the balcony. She too thinks of Sudha. She would have lit the diya (Oil lamp). She must have done everything on her own as I am not there. She is a very good and a strong person. She doesn’t know it though. She looks at the moon by joining the thumbs and index fingers of both her hands. Sudha too can get moon in her palms. Right, Bappa?
Sagar keeps his hand on her shoulder. She asks him if he finally got time to meet her? He says the same to her. You only had no time for me. You had been talking to Mahant ji. She reasons that she was talking about puja (prayer). How could I come to you between work? You left by the time everything got over. He shares that he had gone to the ashram for her. I woke up very early in the morning to return your stuffs. She points out that he didn’t want her to come back here. This is why you went with all my stuff. He calls her mad. I was angry with you back then as you didn’t listen to me. People would have killed you by drowning you in water. You didn’t even think for once what I’d have done if you die? He goes quiet as he realises what he just said. They both look at each other.
