Principal comes looking for Gunwanti. Gangaa says her mother is ill so she has gone to her house. Principal Ma’am wants some papers from Gunwanti. She had received a call from the Principal of Lawrence School. She has to submit them today. Peon is on off duty today. Gangaa offers to go and come back ASAP. Principal Ma’am is hesitant, but Gangaa insists.
Sagar drinks juice. Amma ji says you don’t have to dance. Nothing happened to you, but what if something had gone wrong? Sagar wants to dance. Madhvi sides with Amma ji. You don’t have to put your life in danger. Sagar asks her what has happened to him? Madhvi says you are weak. Pulkit adds that he can participate next year. Sagar insists upon participating this year only. I have practised so much for it. I won’t drink juice too, if you don’t
let me participate. Sagar makes Amma ji agree to it somehow. Outside, Madhvi asks Amma ji why she agreed? Amma ji replies that Sagar won’t understand anything if we say no to him at the moment. Let him get better. I will talk to him.
Gangaa collects the papers from Gunwanti’s house. Gunwanti’s mother gives water to Gangaa. Gunwanti will come in a while. She has gone to bring me medicine. Gunwanti’s mother coughs. Gangaa suggests bringing water for her, but she asks for her pump. Gangaa notices a few photos on the wall. Gunwanti’s mother feels better after using the pump. Gangaa asks her about the photo? Gunwanti’s mother shares that Gunwanti was a very good dancer back in her younger days. She wanted to make a name for herself in dance, but she had to give up all her dreams because girls weren’t allowed to do anything like that in our time. She got married later and it never happened again. I wonder when I will see the smile on my daughter’s face again. Gangaa thinks of something. She leaves for school.
The school gets over by the time Gangaa is back. She stops her friends from going home. Principal Ma’am thanks Gangaa for her timely help. She asks the girls what they are still doing here? Gangaa shares that she has stopped them. I have found a dance teacher for us. Gunwanti comes very late as her mother was ill. The girls stay back because of Gangaa. She has found their dance teacher. Gunwanti asks Gangaa who is it? Gangaa says it is you! You will teach us the dance. You have learnt it from a very big Guru (Teacher). You have won many prizes too. I know how much you love dance. We have a dance teacher in our school. Who else should we turn to then? Gunwanti says I haven’t practised since many years. I won’t be able to do it now. Maybe my family too will object. Principal Ma’am reasons that she only has to teach kids dance. She doesn’t have to perform on stage. I can talk to them if you wan to. Gunwanti denies it. She said It’s been so many years. What will I teach them? Principal Ma’am says talent never goes away. Try once. All the girls request her. Principal adds that our school is participating after so long because of Gangaa, Do you want the dream of these girls to fail because of lack of a dance teacher? Gunwanti agrees. Gangaa thanks her. I told you we will find a dance teacher! Gangaa doesn’t look happy.
Gangaa comes to talk to Sagar. He is again listening to music. She removes them. What happened to you? Everyone is so worried about you. He denies it. I am perfectly fine. But you must be happy that I won’t be able to participate as I am not well now? She replies that she only competes with someone who is equal. You are on bed. You are taking so many medicines to stay strong. One has to do it on their own. He is sure of his victory. She shares that she found a dance teacher. He makes fun of her as she knows no dance forms. She relates that one who tries, wins. Sir says so. He insists that the Inter School Competition is very tough. She refuses to accept failure without trying. He starts coughing so she gets him water. You have no strength to even talk! Get well first. Then we will see who wins. They challenge each other.
MLA’s senior (the same lady chief guest from Lawrence School that day) tells MLA to act fast. I cannot keep this at bay for long. The issue is very sensitive. If you fail in this responsibility,then you know the consequences too! She ends the call. MLA, Shrivastava gets angry. He scolds his goons for being incompetent. You couldn’t find that girl or CD. Goon says we have deployed our people at the hospital. We will question him as soon as he gains consciousness. MLA orders him to check all the CCTV of the area where he had seen the girl.
Gangaa switches off Sagar’s laptop. You need to get well first. How will you take part in the competition if you aren’t well? Take your medicines and rest. You will get your laptop, only when you are completely fine. They both fight for the laptop. Sagar calls his mother. Gangaa stays put. Sir too would have done the same. Madhvi too seconds Gangaa. Get well first and then you can use it. You even dance while sitting on the bed. Now take your medicine. Sagar refuses to take medicine as he does not like it. Gangaa points out that it isn’t jalebi that he has to think of taste. You won’t be able to take part in the competition if you don’t take it. No problem. Sagar takes his medicines. Madhvi smiles in relief. Gangaa says I will keep the laptop with me till you get better. Take it from me when you are fine. Sagar stomps his feet angrily. Madhvi tells him that Gangaa is saying this for his good only.
Gunwanti explains to the kids that they have to be disciplined to do anything in life including dance. You must not take it casually. People spend their whole lives learning such skills / art. She plays a song. Girls don’t look so interested as it is classical. Gangaa thinks that Sagar and his friends will be dancing to a latest song. Will we be able to win by dancing to this song?
Bulbul too wants something modern to dance to. She thinks Who dances to such songs today? Gunwanti says her doubt aloud. We can make it interesting. She plays a video where people are dancing in modern style to one of the latest songs (Radha Kaise Na Jale). The dancers perform in a mix of forms. The kids look relived now. The first rule of dance is to keep your shoes in one corner. Meanwhile, she makes some marks on the floor. The girls are supposed to take position accordingly. Gunwanti tells them to copy her moves and expressions. The girls follow her brilliantly. Bulbul is learning fast as she is a very good dancer. Gangaa is also trying her best. The other girls have to try harder. Bulbul does not want to waste her time as she knows everything already. Gangaa reasons that this isn’t wasting time. We need
to work together for the group dance. Gunwanti seconds her. This is called group work. Next, she makes the girls practise standing on their toes. They have to balance their body posture and move. Gunwanti keeps motivating them.
Dance teacher wonders how they will continue the rehearsal in Sagar’s absence? Yash shares that Sagar won’t come. Chandan offers to take Sagar’s position. Dance teacher agrees, but Sagar enters just then. Chandan looks miffed. Pulkit requests the dance teacher to let him stay here. He says I have to look after him and make sure he takes his medicine on time. The Dance teacher is a little sceptical, but Sagar tells him that he will do it. Chandan tells Sagar that he won’t be able to do it. Look at your health. Sagar tells him against it. I know you wanted to take my place, but someone has told me never to give up even in times of trouble. He remembers Gangaa’s words. They take their positions.
Shankar reaches the area where Niru lives. He tracks down Niru’s house and goes towards the house to have a closer look.
Amma ji and Madhvi has gotten something to give to a sadhu outside. They donate food and cloths to the sadhu. Shankar is at a nearby shop. He initially misses seeing Amma ji, but then notices her side face. Curiously, he walks closer. He collides with a Man on cycle and gets into a verbal duel. Amma ji is irked as people lose their cool so soon nowadays. She goes inside by the time Shankar turns to look at her.
All the girls are eating lunch. Gangaa is happy that she was right. They found everything one by one. Now our school will only win. Right Bulbul? Bulbul nods with a smile, but she isn’t happy. She thinks of something. She goes away on the pretext of meeting some teacher. Lunch break gets over. Gunwanti tells them to finish their food and resume the practise. Gunwanti cannot run the DVD player. Bulbul smirks. This is not going to start. I will see how our team leader widow practices for the dance competition! Bulbul has removed the wires, cut them and then had them fixed again. Everyone would have found about it if I had removed the wires. Now no one will find out as I have joined it again. You (Gangaa) think you are too smart! Now practice. Gunwanti is in a fix. If we send it for repair, then it will take 2-3 days for sure. Gangaa had seen Sagar fixing a similar problem in the past. She gets an idea. I will fix it. She sets down to work. She puts the DVD in the laptop and connects the music system with it. It starts working. Gunwanti is very impressed with Gangaa and so are all the girls.
Bulbul’s friend (Chaya) tells Bulbul that now, Gangaa has impressed Gunwanti Ma’am too. She might take your place some day. Bulbul says I will never let it happen. I know how to ruin her plan. Gunwanti makes 3 groups of 4 girls each. Gangaa and Bulbul are in separate group. Gangaa’s group is in the center. The groups have to cover the entire stage during their dance.
Gunwanti cannot tell exactly how many steps they have to take. Gangaa suggests going there only to practice. Gunwanti replies that they will need to give 5k for the booking daily. We cannot spend that much money. Gangaa reasons that they must know how big the stage is if they have to win. We must know how many steps we have to take on which side. Gunwanti nods, but she also knows that they have no way to find out about this. Gangaa wonders how they will win if they don’t have an idea how big the stage is.
Gangaa’s trainer tells them they are given a chance and would need to go to the auditorium to practice, but that would be later though. He asks Sagar how he is feeling now and tells that he looks weak to him. He tells Sagar to sit in a Corner and watch for now since he can’t risk his health. Sagar is sad. The trainer asks for who would take Sagar’s position? Chandan raises his hand and says he was the former leader. The trainer picked him. Yash asks for permission and comes to meet Sagar. He asks him what he would do if Chandan was picked as the lead role after all your practice, Sagar? Sagar is worried.
The dance session is over for the day in Gangaa’s school. Reena is walking alongside Gangaa when she tells her bye, see you tomorrow, but Gangaa tells her to follow her to a place close by. Reena agrees.
Gangaa asks for a measuring tape from a shop keeper. Reena asks for what she would do with that? Gangaa says she would find out about it later. Bulbul and her friend (Chaya) sight her and wonders what is this widow up to now?
The Trainer ends the dancing session with them and dismisses them for the day. Chandan comes to meet Sagar and smiles at him saying you would dance behind me now. Sagar said he fainted because he was tired and not because he’s sick. Chandan laughs at that and tells him to arm wrestle with him if he’s indeed strong. Sagar agrees to it.
Gangaa and Reena enters Sagar’s school. On their way to the auditorium, they heard the students shouting (hailing) Sagar and Chandan’s name. They get curious and goes to look at what is happening. A kid says Chandan will win. Chandan later won the arm wrestle. Yash is worried. Sagar said he cheated. Gangaa affirms it by saying I saw you poking Sagar with a pencil under the table. Sagar is surprised and thinks why is Gangaa here? Chandan said she’s supporting her boss as she works with them. Sagar said she isn’t our helper. Chandan taunts him and asks is she your friend then? Besides who befriends someone that looks like a maid to me? All the kids laugh at Sagar. Sagar is angry. He shouts at them saying Gangaa isn’t my friend and leaves from there. Gangaa is sad, while Reena is shocked. Yash comes to meet her and says Sagar isn’t your friend and you still supported him, fool? Gangaa says so what? I only side with the truth and Sagar was telling the truth. She shows them the pencil under the table. The earlier kid (who claims Chandan would win) also affirms it that Chandan cheated. Another kid there tells Chandan you are bad since you cheated just to win. Yash is happy at that. They all leave.
Gangaa asks Reena if she took the correct measurements of the stage? Reena affirms it, but she asks Gangaa why Sagar denied being friends with her there? Gangaa tells her she doesn’t know, whatever could be the reason. She waves it off. Reena anyways is glad it didn’t take them long to get the measurement of the stage. They both smile and leaves.
