In Harem, Jodha is learning how to distribute money to the Servants, they are given money according to their post, Jodha have to keep a tab on every penny spent, Jodha is tensed.
Jalal comes there, he smiles seeing Jodha, Jodha listens to the problems of the Queens. Moti tries to say that Jalal… But Jodha is so involved in the matters she didn’t even notice, he leaves from there.
Maham says to Jalal that Jodha is busy at work, she says Ruqaiya used to take out time for you, but Jodha is making you wait, I will call her, Jalal says no, let her do her work, I like those who are dedicated, she didn’t do any ceremony, she just started working, Maham says you are changing, Jalal says time changes.
Ruqaiya is getting bored that she doesn’t have any work, Hoshiyar comes there, she says thank God you came here, he tells her about Jalal coming to meet Jodha but she was busy, I think you should go to him. Ruqaiya says you said a good thing, he says you seem different today, she says I am same, she asks did Jodha had a doubt on you? He says Jodha doesn’t have time. Ruqaiya says she will be involved in Harem matters and I will spend time with Jalal.
Ruqaiya comes to Jalal, he says come, she says you knew I was coming, he says by your walking, he says I was thinking why you took Jodha’s name for Harem leader, he says I know you did that so that she will be invoved in Harem matters and you can spend time with me, she says I did that to show my greatness, for me, you matter the most, this post doesn’t matter to me in front of you, Jalal says it feels nice, he says I will try to take time to spend with you after the Ceremony. She is happy and back hugs Jalal.
In the market, Sujamal gets to know that Jalal has announced the Ceremony with the whole nation invited in it, because Jodha saved him from a poisonous lady, he also prayed for Jodha alongside the nation, Sujamal is happy that Jodha is getting love here, he is about to leave, but a Mughal soldiers comes there, the solider orders them to check everyone who is leaving or coming to Agra!
Jodha says Moti told that you came, you should have called me, Jalal says you were busy so I didn’t, Jodha says heads off to Ruqaiya, she has been doing this work for so many years, Jalal says not an issue, I am happy you are doing work, Jodha says but I am not feeling good that you came to meet me and I was busy. Jalal says I don’t like those people who leave their work just for someone and to tell you the truth, you were looking beautiful even while working.
Jodha says in Court, you made a stern face, he says I am the King there, but here, I am your friend and husband, she says if you come again, then go only after meeting me, Jalal says I will if my heart says so. Jodha says I was told that you do not have a heart, he says we will decide thar later, you go for your work now. She leaves. Jalal smiles.
In Harem, Jodha orders that I want to facilitate everyone, check everyone. One Servant is being dragged by a soldier, she says this Servant was not doing her work, she was lying on the bed, the Servant says I am ill, Jodha checks her and says to take her to Hakima/Doctor as she is ill. The Soldier says if Ruqaiya was there, she would have set her right.
Jodha says but Ruqaiya is not there now, Hoshiyar says this always happens with Servants here, Jodha says to call every Servant. Ruqaiya comes there and says wow, you started work alreadt, Ruqaiya says I came to check whether you are working, Jodha says I have more respect for you, I don’t know how you handles this Harem so nicely and took time for yourself.
Ruqaiya says that’s why I took your name so that you know that challenging is easy, but working isn’t and secondly, the reason is that I wanted to spend time with Jalal, some Queens were taking advantage of our distances.
Jodha says Jalal is not a kid that anybody can take advantage of, Ruqaiya says I am going out with Jalal and I thought to take you along, but you are busy, so now, I have time to spend time with him and this time, I will not be in disguise. She leaves.
Jodha comes to address the Servants, Jodha says to one Servant that are you happy doing work? One Swrvant says we have to do work all the time, no holiday nothing. Jodha says I took this post to make everything right, I took it because I wanted to do it, nobody forced me to it, and one can do work when she is satisfied with it. The Servant says we don’t have any opinion, we just do work to get money. Jodha says if anybody doesn’t want to work here, she can leave.
Maham comes and says it’s against the rules, they have been serving us from way back and it’s not your right to free them. Jodha says if they don’t want to do work, then I will not force them, they are humans. Maham says they are not forced, they do work on their own free will, Jodha says okay, the truth will come out now.
Jodha ask the Servants to tell who wants to leave the Harem, most of the Servants says that they want to go back to their homes, Jodha says what is this Maham ji, working in Harem is a respectful thing and if someone doesn’t want to do it, then she can leave. Maham Anga says no.
Jodha says those who don’t want to work can leave, Maham says this is Jalal’s right, Jodha says he has given me the authority of the Harem, Maham leaves from there.
Jodha says you can leave at anytime if you can, after the paper work, all cheers for Jodha.
Jalal is discussing about the Ceremony and how to make it enjoyable, Maham comes there. Jalal says it’s Jodha’s work, Maham says I want to tell what’s happening there, he ask Jalal to come.
Jodha is going, Moti says you did a good work, Servants are also humans, Hoshiyar says maham will not sit quietly.
Jalal and Maham comes there. Jalal says some rules are very old and they can’t be changed, Jodha says thanks for coming, she says if they are old, bur that doesn’t mean that they are right, so we have to change them, Jalal says they are being followed from years, so you can’t change them, and these Servants have been working here for years.
Jodha says we have to listen to the Servants too, Maham says they are here to do work not to listen to them! Jodha says they are humans too.
Jalal says I don’t understand, Jodha says if you have time, he nods, she says to Maham that if you don’t mind, then can I take Jalal to show him something in the Harem, she says why not? They leave.
Sharifudden is remembering that painting of Jodha, Bakshi comes there, he ask her to sit, she says why aren’t you preparing for the ceremony? He says Jalal doesn’t trust me anymore, Bakshi says you have to prove your loyalty, he says just like Jalal is loyal to Jodha, she is lucky that Jalal announced ceremony for her, and he is lucky too to get such a beautiful wife as Jodha, Bakshi says leave it, go and see the Ceremony preparations, he says yes, it’s for Jodha so I have to work, Bakshi is jealous.
Jalal and Jodha comes to the Harem, Jodha shows an ill Servant to Jalal and says she had to do work in this condition, Jodha says I will show you new things of the Harem.
In the Kitchen, the Servant supervisor is ordering to work fast, they come there, Jodha says these Servants are won in wars, she shows an old Servant and says it’s her age to play with her grandchildren, but she is working here for more than 35 years, she is working before your birth, she is not interested in doing all this, but she, her family must have forgotten her too. I have to cahnge this, so I took that decision. Maham listens to all this.
Jalal and Jodha comes to Babu, Jalal ask what is he doing here? Jodha says for keeping him here, Babu says you are my Culprit, Jalal says what? Jodha says I got him when returning from the temple, he says thirsty and hungry, his mother is being sold by your soldiers to some boss, those whose mothers become Servants and leaves them, they become thieves when they are grown up. Jalal remembers his childhood when he was crying and said to Maham that I want my mother, Jalal says to Babu that I promise I will get your mother back, Babu says you are nice, he leaves.
Sujamal comes to the well where Benazir once hasd fallen into and it became poisoned, she was drowned in that well and her death happened, he says this place is right to spend the night, he sees the Mughal soldiers there and sits on a tree’s branch.
Abul Mali comes there and says Benazir died, but her sacrifice will not be wasted! Sharifudden comes there, Mali ask the news? Sharifudden says there is a Ceremony, I will signal you and you do your remaining work, Abul Mali says great,. Sharifudden says you know your promise, he says yes. They leave. Sujamal thinks who is he that he is with Abul Mali, Jalal’s life is in danger.
Ruqaiya is getting service from the Servants, Maham comes and says you are concentrating on your beauty and don’t know whats happening here in the Harem! Ruqaiya says my time is for Jalal, Maham informs her that Jodha has freed the Servants and Jalal knows about it, she is taking out time for Jalal, and she’s impressing Jalal, i told you to be careful, but see now, Jodha has taken your power, position, your seat and Jalal. She says Jalal like those who can capture his mind, Jodha was in your hands because of your mind but now, Jodha has trapped him, you are trying to become more beautiful, but its now worth it, Jodha has everything right, love power and you are empty handed. She leaves, Ruqaiya fumes.
Jalal says I didn’t know this was happening in the Harem. Jodha says you win war and doesn’t see what happens to the people you won in war, some are being taken here and others are being sold, I saw Servants in a very suffering situation when I went to the temple, I also met Babu there. I can’t change what’s happening outside, but I can start changing it from my house, Jalal says you are right.
Jodha says people should know that you love them, bad things happens but we have to replace them with good things, Jalal says you are right, I am with you, I will see who will make people servants from now on, you are free to do anything in the Harem, I am with you, I will support your any decision, you remove slavery from the Harem and I will see to the Politics, he leaves, Jodha is surprised to see his confidence in her.
Sujamal is in the market, the security is tight, every suspicious person is being checked. Some soldier ask him to clear way, he thinks that I have to meet Jodha, I have to tell her that Jalal’s life is in danger and let her know that someone from the Palace is involved in this.
Jalal and Atgah in common man’s dress comes to the market, Jalal says why is Slave trade being done when I’ve stopped it? He comes where a Servant is being sold for a very low rates. The Servant pleads to let her take her Son, but the man buys the Servant and takes her away, Jalal says this has to change, I will do just anything to stop this!
