Salim is sitting on the terrace when the children comes there, they find Daniyal counting crows in sky, Murad ask Daniyal what you are doing? Daniyal says I am counting crows, Murad says you can’t count, as they keep running here and there, Daniyal says then how will we know the number of crows? Haidar says we should ask Birbal, he makes people laugh in Court, they stop Birbal and says Daniyal wants to know the number of crows, can’t count them, Birbal thinks that theses children wants to make a fool out of me, he says there are 45 crows in the sky right now, Murad says wrong, when Daniyal was counting, there were 104 crows in the sky, Birbal says they are just 45, and the other crows have come from other States like Amer, Ajmer, our crows also went to meet them.
Birbal finds Salim sitting sadly, he says to Salim that why are you sad? Laughing is healthy for the health, Birbal says to the children that now, I will ask a question from you people, tell me the place where Sunshine and Moonlight doesn’t reach? All the children start thinking including Salim, Murad ask what place is that? Tell us. Birbal says the answer is darkness, if Sunshine or Moonlight reaches there, then how will there be darkeness there? All are silent, Birbal leaves from there. Salim comes to Jalal, Jalal ask Salim did you hit Moti Bai? Salim looks at Jodha, Salim says yes I did, Jalal ask did you ask for forgiveness? Salim says no,
I won’t ask for forgiveness, Jodha says you will not get small by saying sorry, Salim says will you punish me for this too? Jalal says what else do you think? That I will praise you? You have done work of punishment, so you will get punishment, Jodha ask Jalal to stop, Jalal ask her to not come in between.
Jalal brings Salim on the terrace, he says to Salim that you will keep standing under the Sun, he says to the Servants that Salim will not get anything to eat and drink, he can’t move from here until he ask for forgiveness from Moti! He leaves.
Hamida says to Jodha that how can Jalal do this with a child? I will talk to Jalal, Jodha says no need, he will not listen, you try to make Salim understand that he should say sorry to Moti, then he will be pardoned.
Hamida comes to Salim and says it’s a very hot day, you will be hungry, you agree to my everything, just ask for forgiveness on my insistence, Salim says I will not say sorry, I don’t need water or food, I will keep standing there! Hamida leaves from sadly. Salim starts feeling dizzy because of the harsh sun.
Jalal thinks that Salim is hurt, but I have to be strict to get forgiveness from him, Salim starts feeling dizzy, he falls on ground, Salim is lying unconscious in the garden. Jalal and Jodha comes there and ask Salim to get up, Jalal ask to call the Doctor, Jodha angrily looks at Jalal. Jodha says to Jalal that did you punish him? You wanted him to learn things but you are hurting him, Jalal says you are not understanding, my ways are different, but I want Salim to learn things, Jodha says it’s not about learning, he is thinking of all this as punishment.
Jalal says I am not afraid of this, I don’t want him to continue things like this, he can think of this as punishment, but he needs to learn all this, he couldn’t even bear a small sunshine on his face, what will he do in battlefield?? To be a Warrior and a King, you don’t need to have a Mother, you have to learn things under the Sun to be King. Jodha says he can say no to Kingship seeing all this, Jalal says I don’t care, I have to make him strong, Jodha says in the process, don’t make him bitter, he needs to learn care too, Jalal says to be King, he has to learn things, but he is just bitter,!Jodha says you are right, but what if he starts hating you in all this? Ruqaiya is puffing Hookah (Shisha), Jodha comes there in anger, Ruqaiya offers her Hookah, Jodha says you can’t make everything smoke in hookah, Ruqaiya says I am not understanding what you are saying? Jodha says but I understand what you are doing, and what you want! Ruqaiya ask what are you saying? Jodha says didn’t you tell Jalal that Salim had hit Moti?? You knew that Jalal will punish him, but you went to him and told him what we were hiding, you knew that Jalal will punish Salim and Salim will think that I have complained about him! Why did you do this???
Ruqaiya says this is wrong, I thought you told the truth to Jalal, so I went to him to advocate on behalf of Salim. Jodha says I didn’t tell anything to Jalal, as Salim couldn’t bear the earlier punishment as well,but you did what I was hiding, I know you are his Step Mother, but don’t forget that I am his Mother! Ruqaiya says my intentions were not wrong, Jodha says something was wrong, you knew that Salim will hate me for this, you are deliberately putting hate in Salim’s heart against me!

Ruqaiya laughs and says how can you stop me Jodha, when your Son calls me Mother and calls you Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen/Queen Mother)!
Jodha is sleeping in her room and recalls how Shaguni said that you will be torn between the love of your child and duty, she wakes up and says I have to talk to Jalal.
She comes to Jalal who is sleeping, she puts hand on his chest. Jalal wakes up with a start and takes dagger in his hand, Jalal sees Jodha and ask you here late at night? Jodha says nothing, you sleep, Jalal says stop, I know we have problem between us regarding Salim’s upbringing, but we are husband and wife and we love each other, did you see bad dream? Jodha says yes, I am worried that you are going away from Salim, I am feeling torn between you and Salim.
Jalal says it will be fine with time, we will see Salim become great King, you will see how our child will be a good person, Jodha says that’s all fine, but you know how much Salim is angry with us? Since the time he has come back, he didn’t listen to my story and lullaby, he didn’t eat from my hand, Jalal hugs her to console her, Jodha cries, Jalal says don’t worry, I promise you that I will set everything right. He ask Jodha to go and sleep, Jodha says you too take rest, she leaves.
Jodha comes to Salim who is wincing in sleep, Jodha sit beside him and says what happened Salim, I am with you here, she kisses his forehead, Salim holds Jodha’s hand in sleep, Jodha is overwhelmed with emotions, she thinks that if you were awake, you would have not let me even sit beside you, you are so angry with me, I hope that you forgive me and hug me, I don’t know whose evil eyes had been casted on us?
Jodha is getting ready, she says today, I will destroy all the distance between me and my Son! I will make food for Salim today and will make father and Son eat together, Zakira says this is good idea, Jodha says we should stay more like a family than King, Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ulrimate Queen) and the Heir.
The Cook of the Palace comes to Jodha crying and says please save my daughter, she cooks for the Palace, today, she did a mistake as she added some less spice, Ruqaiya tasted it and now, Ruqaiya is hell bent to kill her, please save her. Jodha goes with her.
Jodha comes to Ruqaiya, Ruqaiya says I know why you are here, but you stay out of this matter, I will handle this Cook! Ruqaiya holds the cane and she’s about to beat that Cook, Jodha holds the canw and asks is this way you will handle her? She ask Zakira to take her to the Doctor, Ruqaiya says her punishment is not over yet, she did a mistake! Jodha says what’s her mistake? She added some less spice? Ruqaiya says I have decided her punishment, she ask Hoshiyar to keep beating her till she get unconscious!
Jodha says nobody will hurt her! Ruqaiya says you are forgetting that Harem is under me?? Jodha says you are forgetting that I am Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen), the whole India comes under me, including you too! And if I stop any punishment, then it should be stopped! I order that from today henceforth, before giving any punishment, you will take my permission first!
Jodha ask Zakira to take the Cook to the Doctor. Zakira takes her away, Ruqaiya says to Jodha that you didn’t do good! She leaves from there.
Maan says that there is some problem in one State, I want to go there, Rahim says I will accompany him too, Jalal says okay.
Ruqaiya comes there in anger, she says to Jalal that I want to talk to you! Rahim and Maan leaves. Jalal ask the matter? Ruqaiya ask what is my value in the Mughal Sultanate? Jalal says who said that? Ruqaiya says what’s my position?? Jalal says you are the Mughal wife, you are my first Wife and friend, so what is the matter? Ruqaiya says Mariam-uz-Zamani, she used her powers and insulted me, I will not take that insult because people will think that I have no value! I will be included in that Servants who lives in this Palace on you and Mariam-uz-Zamani’s orders! Ruqaiya cries and leaves from there.
Ruqaiya is puffing hookah, Hoshiyar says I will accompany you wherever you go, Ruqaiya says I am not going anywhere! Jodha can be Mariam-uz-Zamani, but Jalal will take my side in this matter! Hoshiyar says but you said to Jalal that you will leave the Palace? Ruqaiya says I know Jalal won’t let me go anywhere which was why I warned him, now, Jodha have to take back her decision and from today’s henceforth, her orders will not apply to me!
Jalal says to Wives that Jodha was right in her decision, we can’t punish Servants on everything, we can ignore such small mistakes, she is human and can put less spice in food as a result of mistake, Jodha by forgiving her has valued her position of Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen)
Ruqaiya says you mean to say that I should leave the Palace? Jalal says nothing like that, but you had given just this condition and if you don’t follow it, then it’s your decision, Ruqaiya is shocked, Jalal leaves from there.
Salima says to Ruqaiya that don’t take small things to heart, don’t think about going from here, Jalal and jodha are right. Ruqaiya says if he is a King, then I am a Mughal too, I will stand on my statement, I will not stay here where I am not respected, I will leave from here!
Hamida says how can Ruqaiya leave from here? Phuphi says she was saying she will go to Farkhandi, how will she live there? Hamida says I will talk to Jalal, Ruqaiya can’t leave from here.
Hoshiyar tells Salim that Ruqaiya is leaving the Palace, Salim says then I will go with her too, tell this to Jalal and Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen)! He thinks that only Ruqaiya loves me and Jalal is sending her away from me? No, I won’t let it happen!
Zakira tells Jodha that Ruqaiya Is leaving the Palace, Jodha says she’s making a big issue out of a small thing, I have to stop her.
Ruqaiya ask Hoshiyar to not take anything from the Palace, I will not take anything to eat or clothes from the Palace, I want to show that I don’t rely on Jalal and Jodha!
Jodha comes there, Ruqaiya says you must have come to see what I am taking from here? Don’t worry, I am not aking anything. Jodha ask Hoshiyar to not pack things, Ruqaiya says you won’t do this! Jodha says as Mariam-uz-Zamani, I can stop anything. Ruqaiya says you are forgetting your decision will not apply to me, I am leaving this place, Jodha makes her sit.
Ruqaiya says don’t touch me, I am Jalal’s wife too! Jodha says yes, you are his friend too. Ruqaiya says that’s why he asked me to go? Jodha says you are misunderstanding, Ruqaiya says I am not respected here, I will leave! Jodha says think about Salim then, wiil he be able to live without you? He loves you a lot, I don’t want Salim to be away from his Mother (elder Mother), Ruqaiya cries, Jodha hugs her and says I know you can’t live without Salim, so please stop, Ruqaiya wipes her tears and smirks.
Jalal is discussing strategies with Maan and Rahim, Maan says it’s not easy to attack Patan, we have to make a solid plan, Todar says we should slowly reach there and attack from one side, Jalal says this way, they will run from the other side, so we will attack them from all sides so that they can’t run. Maan says we will attack from North, Todar says from one side, and Rahim from the other side, this way, we will get hold on Patan, Hamida comes there, so all leaves.
Hamida says to Jalal that I have heard about Ruqaiya leaving, Jalal says it’s her decision and I want to see if she can leave just for her stubbornness? Hamida says Ruqaiya is not leaving, Jodha have stopped her. Jalal is stunned.
Jodha is seeing to the finance, Jalal comes there and says to Jodha that why did you stop Ruqaiya? When she wanted to leave, then let her go, Jodha says if I had not stopped her, then there would have been many questions in our family, our pride would have gone down, tell me, did I do anything wrong as Mariam-uz-Zamani? Jalal says this is the difference between you and her, why can’t Ruqaiya understand all this, she decided to leave the Palace just for a small thing.
Jodha says she has problems, but she is a part of our family, we can solve things in our house, I don’t want people to hear about our house problems, I can’t let Ruqaiya leave the Palace like this, Jalal says I can’t understand you, you are amazing, you not only stopped Ruqaiya, but saved our pride, but let me remind you thar nobody can break the King’s rule.
Ruqaiya recalls how Jodha said that she is the Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen) and all come under her rule, Ruqaiya says I was never insulted like this, all this is happening because of Jodha! I will take such revenge that you won’t be able to forget it! I will do something that Salim will go away from Jodha and nobody can blame me for it! I will make Jodha sandwiched between Jalal and Salim! What to do?
Ruqaiya comes to Salim and sees him practicing sword fighting, she says I got my answer, I know what has to be done.
Jalal is in his room, Ruqaiya comes there, she makes sad face and looks down, she says I am sorry Jalal, I have hurt you in anger, I said in anger that I will leave the Palace, but I was not able to sleep thinking that my Jalal is angry with me, I am sorry, I shouldn’t have done this, thank God Jodha made me understand, this will not happen again, I am embarrassed, Jalal says why the embarrassment? You only do what your heart says! Ruqaiya says if you are angry, then punish me.
