Javeda is writing something on paper. When Maham Anga comes, she hides it. Maham Anga ask what she’s hiding from her? Javeda says I have something very special for the market day and you will expand like rice of biryani (an Indian dish made with rice that is flavoured and coloured with saffron or turmeric and mixed with meat or fish). Maham Anga ask what’s that idea? Javeda refused to say it, as the wall has hears.
Maham Anga ask her to show it! She says when the walls has ears, they can also see. Javeda says it’s about Jodha leaving. Maham Anga says yes, Jodha is leaving, and it is good that she is leaving, as she has no interest in Agar and the happenings here, so it’s better she leaves!
Javeda says I will miss her. Maham Anga says so, go with her to Amer! Javeda says I will not leave you. She asks Maham Anga who will make sweets for her (Maham)? She says she won’t ever leave her, and even when they go to heaven, she will be there with her as well. Maham Anga is irritated.
Jodha comes out and a Servant ask what happened? Hoshiyar is behind her. Jodha says I have to take part in the Market day for the sake of Hamida bano. The Servant ask what will you present to impress Jalal? Jodha thinks what should I present to irritate Jalal and sees a colour on a Servant’s scarf and says tomorrow is Holi (Coloured festival). She gets the idea and whispers something in her ear.
Hoshiyar is with other wives and says not only Ruqaiya is competing with you this time, Jodha is also participating and she has long list of winning. One wife says one was not enough, that one more, is present. They ask for any idea, but he refused to tell them saying he only works for only Ruqaiya!
The Market day is all set. Jalal enters and sees different stalls. He comes to Ruqaiya’s stall. Ruqaiya shows the scarf in her stall to Jalal. He says they are very beautiful. Jalal ask for 3 scarfs. She shows it to him. Jalal makes her wear one. She is very happy. Jalal ask for the reason? She says you gifted me first, so it’s special. Jalal buys the other two. Ruqaiya says think before buying, they are very expensive. Jalal says what to think, for you, I will buy them. He says no matter how expensive they are, it will be paid from the Kingdom’s money, as it is your day to sell and to make most out of it. And your stall is going to be the most expensive one for me.
Maham Anga and Resham sees a stall and Maham Anga thinks that Ruqaiya has arranged something special, and that’s why there are much people on her stall. Resham informs her that it is Javeda’s stall not Ruqaiya.
Maham Anga is shocked and thinks what has she done now and it’s dangerous when the monkey gets the sword. She comes to her stall and sees the painting of herself with smiling face. Maham Anga says what nonsense is this! Javeda says nobody has seen you smiling, so that’s why they are all stunned that you look like this when you smile.
Maham Anga says I don’t want anybody to see any of your painting, as it’s for me, so I will buy all, so please, shut the stall! Javeda happily agrees.
Salima shows Jalal the perfume. Jalal likes it and says how do you know I will like it? Salima says it’s the duty of a wife to impress her husband. Jalal gifts her one scarf.
Jalal comes to Jodha’s stall and says it’s good you accepted the tradition of the women quarters. He ask for the reason behind placing colours in her stall? Jodha says I am not liable to tell you. Jalal says if you have placed the stall here, so you must tell. So do divulge the reason behind showing colour on your stall! She takes the white scarf and says this is white, showing peace, but it will change if any other colour is thrown on it and throws pink colour on it. She says colours changes the life in a minute and I have showed my emotion by showing colours in my stall, but you will not understand. Jalal smiles and says I have nothing to do with emotion, but rules. He says and rule is that he has to buy something from every stall.
Jodha ask a Servant to give Jalal colours. He says I will buy all the colours from your stall, as you have told me many things about colours. You know very much about colours, but do not know their significance. I have bought 3 scarfs from Ruqaiya’s stall and the 3rd one is for you, a white one, which shows the sign of peace, but you have put the colour on it and changes its emotion. I have no emotions but understand the emotions of others. He says I know tomorrow is Holi festival, but in the Palace, it is not played, but for a guest, as her last wish, I will allow you to play it tomorrow. I am buying all the colours and will gift you tomorrow. He leaves while Jodha looks at him.
Jalal is leaving the market/stalls when Ruqaiya comes and says you bought every colour from Jodha. Jalal says this is to show her that her every colour is under me! Maybe this is her last Holi festival. Ruqaiya laughs and says strange, she sold colours to you. She gifts Jalal a shawl and makes him wear it. He thanks her and leaves.
Maham Anga comes to Ruqaiya and tells her that Jalal bought all the colours from Jodha’s stall. Ruqaiya says to Maham Anga that her life has been decoloured by Jalal, so what will happen if Jalal buys some colours from her?
Hamida bano says to Jodha that she’s proud of her, as she took part in the Market day just for her sake and everybody liked her stall. She ask about Jalal? Jodha says he bought all the colours. Hamida bano is happy that he liked your stall. Jodha says my intension was different behind putting colours in my stall. She tells her about the Holi festival.
Hamida bano says she knows about Holi. She says when Jalal was a Child, I hid in some Hindu Palace and there, I played Holi with them. Jodha is excited that she knows about it.
Jodha says to Hamida bano that I don’t want to destroy the rules of the Palace and I do not want to play Holi with very much fun, but I will play with the Hindu women here. She says it is our religious festival, I am attached to it and Jalal has given me permission, but you are my mother here, so I’m asking permission from you.
Hamida bano allows her, saying it’s your right and I am happy, as Jalal has started understanding this. Jodha gifts her something and Hamida bano ask are you leaving? Jodha thinks for a while and says I am your daughter, so can’t I gift you randomly? Hamida bano blesses her.
Maham Anga is shouting at the Hindu Servants what they think, that they would get off work today? She says no, they will all work! She says nobody can deny my orders, so go and do your work!
On the other side, in Jodha’s room, she sees colours and ask the Servant why these colours are here? The Servant informs her that Jalal has sent them here. She remembers Holi festival in Amer when Sujamal said you will not remember us when you play holi with your in-laws.
Jodha comes out to where all the women are present. They are terrified to play because of Maham Anga. Jodha says maybe she doesn’t know about Jalal’s permission, nothing will happen, so let’s play. They all says because of you, we can play holi for the first time here. Jodha applies colours on all the women.
Reva applies colour on her and runs. Jodha runs behind and throws colour on her. Suddenly, Maham Anga comes and the colours get thrown on her face. Jodha is shocked and says I didn’t do it intentionally.
Maham Anga smears her face and gives Jodha an angry look and leaves. All are tensed as Maham Anga didn’t say a word, and left in anger.
Maham Anga is looking at herself in the mirror, when Resham comes with a new suit. Maham Anga throws it away and says this colour will remain like this, so go and tell that Jodha intentionally did it!
Outside, Jalal is with the Priest. He explains the importance of being a King to Jalal that he should do justice according to his religion. Resham comes and informs him that Jodha has put colour on Maham Anga. He comes to her and he’s shocked to see her like this.
Maham Anga says Jodha did this! Jalal says I allowed her because it was her right. Maham Anga says then she should have played in her area, why was she throwing colours in the garden! She cries and says she did this intentionally, you know after my husband’s death, I’ve been wearing white colour, but Jodha spoiled my simplicity, by putting this colour on me. I would have killed myself there, but I couldn’t, as my loyalties are with you and the Kingdom, but she disrespected me, my simplicity and my religion! The Priest agrees with her. Jalal fumes and leaves. Maham Anga wipes her tears.
Hamida bano is with other ladies who says this is wrong, this shouldn’t have happened. Hamida bano says I know she didn’t do it intentionally. A lady says but she disrespected Maham Anga and our religion! Hamida bano says even unintentionally, yes, she did a big mistake.
In Jodha’s room. The women says to Jodha that we shouldn’t have had holi in the garden, it was their mistake. Jodha says it’s not your mistake. It was mine, I should have seen before throwing the colour.
Jalal comes to Jodha. All are tensed. They all leaves. Jalal is very much angry and throws all the colours on the ground. Jodha is stunned. Jalal says I allowed you to play holi because I thought it was your right and what you did made fun and disrespected my religion! You really hurt Aunt a lot! Jodha says I will deny anything and I am ready for any punishment. Jalal says punishment will be decided after talking with the Priest, but in my point of view, your biggest punishment will be that you go back to Amer tomorrow! He leaves. Jodha is saddened.
Maham Anga comes to Jodha. Jodha folds her hands and ask for forgiveness from Maham Anga. Maham Anga ask did Jalal forgive you? Jodha says no and I am ready for any punishment. Maham Anga says Menewati has to announce your punishment! Jodha is stunned. Maham Anga informs her that Jalal had sent a letter to Amer, so your mother has to take you from here!
Adham Khan is furious that his mother, Maham Anga was treated in such a way by Jodha, and thinks that he will ask Jalal to give her due punishment!
Javeda takes Jodha’s side when Maham Anga comes and saves Javeda, as Adham Khan was about to kill her with his Knife. Maham Anga says that Jodha has already gotten her punishment, as she is being sent to Amer! She tells Adham Khan to behave properly in front of Jodha and to curb his anger!
Hamida bano wonders along with Ruqaiya’s paternal Aunt, as to why Menewati has come to Agra?
At Diwan-e-Khas/Jalal’s Court, Jalal announces that Jodha is being sent back to Amer! Hamida bano protests against this action. Menewati tells that a married daughter is not supposed to go back to her Parent’s home. Jalal says that Jodha too, wants to go to Amer.
Menewati scolds Jodha for her deeds and puts some sense into her and asks her to finds answers to her questions herself, she says that Amer is her Parent’s home, but Agra will always be her HOME! Menewati begs Jalal not to let Jodha return to Amer. Jodha tells that she will not go back to Amer and doesn’t want her mother to beg in front of anybody! Jodha vows that she will die, but will not go to Amer as abandoned woman!
