Jalal gets a message that Sultan Mirza wants to make their relationship stronger with the Mughals by having one of his daughters marry Murad. Jalal agrees with Mirza’s thinking.
Ammi jaan (Hamida) is having pain in her feet. She tells Ruqaiya and Salima that it’s because of her age. She will have to pass the remaining few days with only that pain.
Jodha comes in and says she has to see the marriages of her great grand children. Ammi jaan laughs and says all will say she betrayed her death then. Jodha says she brought medicine for it and she will better. She says she will apply it. Ammi jaan says why not let the Servant do it? Jodha says she will feel proud doing something for her Mother. Ruqaiya makes faces.
Jalal comes in to take their opinion about Murad’s marriage? All the ladies agree. Jodha tells Salima to ask Murad’s opinion as well. She goes to Murad. Murad hides his pistol. Salima says Jalal has decided to imprison him. He gets scared and asks what did he do? She says she’s talking about marriage. He’s relieved and says whatever the elders decide as they know more. She says she expected this only and leaves.
Murad says soon, his dream is going to be fulfilled of becoming the Emperor!
Jodha is taking out jewelries for her new daughter-in-law. Jalal comes and says Murad hasn’t even said yes and she already started choosing jewelries. She says why not? Another daughter-in-law is coming. Jalal says she must have started thinking of names for Murad’s children as well? Jodha says he always makes fun of her. She doesn’t want to talk to him! Jalal follows her and stops. She pushes his hand. Jalal says her habit of pushing him won’t go. She says his habit of making fun of her is not going away either. And changes that are coming in him are signs of elderness. He signals at her head and says white hair… she’s getting such signs as well. She asks where is it? He goes close and hugs her saying he was just joking… he just wanted to come close to her. She smiles.
Jodha is distributing jewelries to all the Queens for their work in the new business. She asks Ruqaiya to take one too. She says no thanks… she has gotten many and jewelries like that, she always gives to Hoshiyar for making Hookah. Jodha says she agrees, but Jalal has asked her to give to everyone, she can at least take it, thinking it’s for Murad’s marriage. Ruqaiya smiles. Jodha leaves.
Aram Bano comes to Jodha asking for her gift? Jodha says she forgot. Then seeing Aram Bano’s sad face, she gives it to her. Aram Bano says she knew, she was just acting, otherwise Jodha would really forget. She then says it would be better had she forgotten. Jodha asks why? She says then she would have gotten 2 gifts. Jodha laughs and asks her to send others in as well, else they will ask for 2 gifts.
The English men comes to meet Jalal with the proposal of;
Opening weapons factory there and they will get very benefitted from there by having advanced weapons. For this, they want him to go to a city and check samples.
Jalal says he will give it a thought.
Later, Murad meets the English men. He’s told that until Jalal is get ready to go to that City, he won’t be able to become King. Murad says he will see what he can do about it, but asks them not to hurt him, he’s assured by them that they will just imprison Jalal for few days so he can become King and help them (the Englishmen).
Jodha feels something suspicious and talks to Jalal,but at the same time, Ruqaiya encourages Jalal to go, as it’ll be beneficial for them. Jalal says they both are right, but he agrees with Ruqaiya more, as he doesn’t see anything wrong happening in this.
Jodha tells same to Maan Singh and Todar mal and give them Jalal’s responsibility.
The English men are waiting for Jalal. Birbal tells them if Jalal finds their offer beneficial, then he will surely accept their invitation.
Maan Singh and Todar mal come there. Birbal tells them about their arrangements in front of the English mem.
Jodha tells Jalal to be back soon and take Khanekhana (Rahim) along. Jalal tells her she’s worrying for no reason. His Soldiers will be with him and the English men won’t be able to do anything.
Jalal meets the English men. The Queens comes there. Jalal takes the blessings of Ammi jaan (Hamida) and gets ready to leave. The English man and Murad look at each other.
Ruqaiya hopes this deal is successful so she can take the responsibility of it and that way, her status will be more than Jodha’s!
Jalal’s caravan is going through the Jungle, Jalal stops to drink water, he ask how much time is left? The Translator says most of our journey is completed, Jalal says we should take rest, Maan Singh announces to set Tents, the English men are happy that their plan is working.
Jodha is working and checking the spice quantity, Moti ask should I bring food for you? Jodha says I have a lot of work to do, I don’t have time, she ask Salima about the spices? Salima says everything is done, the agreement needs your stamp, Jodha puts stamp on it.
Ruqaiya ask a Servant how much will it cost to renovate my room? She tells her that it wil take 75,000 coins, she ask her to send application to Todar so that he can grant her coins, Ruqaiya gets angry and writes the application, she says now, I have to beg Todar, wish I had business under me like Jodha, when Jalal will complete this armour deal, then I will take it from Jalal, and I wil have money too!
At night, Jodha is missing Jalal, she recalls how Jalal said that if you miss me, then look at the moon, she looks at the moon and says I miss you.
In the Tent, Jalal looks at the Moon and says I miss you too, he sends letter to Agra, Maan Singh comes there and says we will see the weapons tomorrow, Jalal says It will help our Soldiers, I want to end this work soon.
Rahim and Todar comes to Jodha, she ask what happened? Rahim says Thieves are increasing in the way to transport, Jodha says it had to happen, as our business is increasing, make the security tight.
Todar says Ruqaiya has requested money to renovate her room, Jodha says then give it, she is a royal Wife, Todar says it’s a huge cost, 75000 coins and I can’t give it without Jalal’s order, should I do it? Jodha thinks what to do? If I say yes, then Jalal will get miffed and if I say no, then Ruqaiya will get miffed? Rahim says we should wait for Jalal to return, she says I will talk to Ruqaiya, then will take decision, Todar says okay.
Jalal is getting ready to continue the journey, the English men come, Jalal ask if the sample of weapons are ready? The English men says we need some days to prepare it, Jalal says if the samples were not ready, then why did they even bring them here? The Translator says our sample was ready, but it destroyed in changing place, they are making it again, it will take 5 to 6 days, they say sorry and leaves.
Ruqaiya is scolding the Financier and says why is my money not granted?? Jodha comes and says I have stopped the transaction, Ruqaiya says why? Ruqaiya says why did you do this? What you think of yourself?? I am also Jalal’s Wife, it never happened that my order is denied, then how dare you?? Jodha says it’s about finance, we need Jalal’s approval to give that much money, Ruqaiya says Jalal will not say NO to me! Jodha says you may be right, but I can’t grant it without him, you wait till he returns.
Ruqaiya says you have started to think that you own the whole finance just because you are handling some business??? You know who I am??
Hamida comes and says she is Queen of India, her decision is right, she cannot give money like this, Ruqaiya says this is my insult! Hamida says nind the way you are behaving with the Queen? I think you should says sorry, it’s the order of Marium Makani (Queen Mother)! She ask Ruqaiya to say sorry!
Ruqaiya says sorry to Jodha, Jodha says it’s not needed, you wait for Jalal’s return, he will give you money, Ruqaiya thinks she will have to pay for it!
Jodha comes back to her room, Moti ask should I bring food? Jodha says no, I am tired, I just want to sleep, Moti says I have something through which your tiredness will go away, she gives her Jalal’s letter, Jodha smiles broadly, Moti says now, you don’t need me, she leaves.
Jodha opens the letter, Jalal writes;
Greetings, he says after going away from you, I realized how much long a night can be, when I sit with you to see the star in the sky, they are the reason to life and now, they are the reason to cry, when you are around, then deserts are nice too, your essence in me, without you, I feel alone in the crowd too, I can imagine your smile and shy smile.
Jodha blushes and imagines Jalal in the room, Salima comes there and ask whose letter is this? Jodha says Jalal’s, Salima ask how much he is desperate to come to you? Jodha says nothing like that, he wrote about his well being, Salima ask did he write everything for you? Or asked about us too? Jodha blushes, Salima says you will sleep now, she leaves.
Ruqaiya is fuming in anger, she ask Hoshiyar did Jalal sent a letter for me? He says no, it was for Jodha, Ruqaiya says the Throne is for Jodha, respect is for Jodha, business is for Jodha, money is for Jodha and Jalal’s love is for Jodha too, What I have?? Just insult! She ask Hoshiyar to bring more opium!
The Informer says to Murad that we have stopped Jalal from coming to Agra, you meet your friends, Strengthen yourself and take over the Throne, Murad says I have got the message.
Jalal says to Birbal that what are they doing? They are wasting my time a lot, it has been days, I have other works too, tell them that I can’t wait anymore, Fazal informs that some Soldiers died, I think from eating poisonous food, Jalal says I want their bodies to be sent to Agra to give them honour.
Jodha asks Moti what happened to the next package? She says it’s ready, and the previous ship has returned along with the profit. Jodha says really good, keep working hard, because next one is big and so will its profit.
Ruqaiya comes in. Jodha says come sit here. Ruqaiya says I want to apologize. Jodha says I didn’t mind anything, so please don’t apologize. Ruqaiya says I feel like there is distance between us. Jodha says why are you saying that? Ruqaiya says Jalal respects and praises you. I think you would think high and mighty of yourself.
Jodha stands up and says we are all part of a family and no one is better than the other. Ruqaiya steals the letter and says in heart, I want to know what Jalal has written inside this. She says okay, I should leave.
The English Officer say to Jalal these canons are much lighter than yours. Jalal’s man says Emperor’s canon’s can change the destiny of wars. If our army has these canons, no one will be able to beat it.
Jalal discusses with Maan Singh, he ask Maan Singh? Maan Singh says they are good canons, Birbal says they are light weight, so we can carry them anywhere.
Jalal says to the Translator Jahan-Nisar (Nisar) that we are ready to allow them to make factory of this canon, but they are bound with us, they cannot sell these canons to any other state, the English men agrees, Nisar thinks Jalal won’t be able to go out of Thatta!
Ruqaiya reads Jalal’s letter that he sent for Jodha, she says I thought he would have written something about the canon business, Jalal never thinks about my happiness, I have always seen him and her eyes always search for Jalal, from childhood, I wanted his attention, but it was given to Jodha, she looks at the godown of spices and says It’s enough, Jodha have always succeeded but not this time, you will lose Jodha! She takes fire lamp and goes to the godown.
Ruqaiya is stealthily going towards the godown, she throws the fire lamp in thw spices carton, they start burning, Ruqaiya thinks that the heat of this fire will reach Jodha soon!
