Jalal sees the burnt dress and he’s furious. Maham Anga instigates him all the more, saying they insulted India’s king! Maham Anga says he should just give the orders and they will attack Amer. Adham Khan ask for his order. Jalal says in angry mood, okay and they will destroy, but what after that? They will be seen as warriors in history and he will be remembered as a cruel King. Maham Anga ask for what he suggest then? Jalal says they will give them punishment, and by this marriage (Nikkah), they will be destroyed in history and by this same Nikkah, they will crush their arrogance!
Jodha is praying to the Lord that he saves his every person, but what he’s doing to her… how could he do this to her? Bharmal says He has a solution and gives her a poison bottle. He says she should save herself, but what after that, Amer will be finished – Some people will commit suicide while others will be killed by the Mughals. He says but Jalal is doing this marriage with full rituals and she will be his queen. Jodha says in his many queens. Bharmal says maybe this marriage will break the wall between religions and ask if she can see her father lost, and as father and King, can she see Amer people being brutally killed. He asks her give her Mother the answer and he leaves. Jodha hugs her mother. Menewati got the answer. She informs Bharmal that Jodha is ready for the marriage.
Shariffudden reads the letter that what happened was heat of the moment and ask to bring the baraat (groom’s wedding procession)! Jalal smiles and says what he wanted happened, and he’s ready to give his precious thing to him, now in true sense, he has won Amer. Maham Anga says very interesting, Jodha will say no to this Nikkah and Jalal will attack Amer. Adham Khan says they will get money from Amer.
A Servant informs them that Jodha is ready for this marriage. Maham Anga is stunned and thinks this Jodha is dangerous!
Moti comes to Jodha and ask for forgiveness that she also hid this from her. She is very bad and she knows it’s not right, as to what’s happening, but there is no other way out. Jodha says but one thing is left and says she can’t back out, but Jalal can. She has an idea and Jalal himself will say no to the marriage.
Menewati and Bharmal are looking at the preparations and all are busy arranging things. Jodha comes and says to Bharmal that she wants permission as she wants to speak with Jalal before marriage. Grandma says she can’t meet him alone. She says they will talk in front of all. Bharmal says if she wants, she can, and ask Bhagwan das to go and inform Jalal about the meet up with Jodha.
Bhagwant das comes to Jalal and one Soldier checks him. Jalal ask for refreshment and ask Bhagwant das why he’s here. He says Jodha has requested that she wants to meet him before marriage. Jalal says but it’s against their (Amer’s) ritual. He says she will be behind the curtain. Jalal ask him to sit. Jalal he says she wants to meet him, then it’s her right to meet her fiance. Maham Anga is in disbelief.
They comes to Saamgar. Jodha comes and Jalal sees her through a light curtain. Background song plays. Jalal ask what she wanted before marriage? Jodha is in Veil. Jalal ask what she wants? She says she has two conditions:
- He will not change her religion after marriage.
- She will take her Kahanji(Lord/Idol) with her and he has to make his temple in his palace. Jalal fumes. Jalal gets up from his place and looks at her angrily, while walking. Jodha smiles slightly and gives Jalal a victory look. He says her conditions are big, but not for the King of Kings, Jalaluddin Muhammad. He accepts both her conditions. Jodha has tears in her eyes as Jalal bids her adieu.
Bhagwant Das and Bharmal praises Jodha for her bravery in front of Jalal. Menewati praises Jalal as well as he accepted her wishes as if wants to give her an identity. All leaves except Moti. Jodha cries so badly and says she lost and there is no other way out of this. Moti says she will always be with her. She will go with her there. But Jodha disagrees and Moti pleads that she will not leave her alone all by herself there.
Maham Anga ask Jalal how he could accept these kind of wishes? Idols are not allowed in their religion. Jalal says as he is the King and he can do anything, but for her information, he accepted, otherwise she would have won. It’s obvious she wanted him to back out, but what will the people say, that he couldn’t fulfill two (2) wishes of a mere girl? He says she has to come to him as his wife, whatever her religion is. They will welcome her so grandly that all will see. Maham Anga and Jalal smirks.
Grandma is in the Kitchen. She spots Sujamal. He says he just wants to take part in his Sister’s marriage. Grandma is emotional and ask him to leave!
Sukanya sees Jodha sad and says this is not the marriage they dreamt of, but she will do anything for her smile. They remember their childhood games of dolls.
Grandma comes and says let’s go plays songs. One marriage song plays… Sukanya dances and Jodha tries to smile. Suku takes her along and all tries to make her smile. They dance around her. They are all trying to cheer her up.
Menewati (Jodha’s mother) comes and says she knows it’s difficult to smile in this situation. They are indebted to her and caresses her. She starts singing and Jodha rest on her shoulder and Menewati hugs her.
The girls are taking off the jewellery from Jodha’s hand. Menewati (Jodha’s mother) comes and says some girls will go with Jodha but Jodha says her sisters will not be there. Menewati says they will and gives her glass bangles that Jodha had taken from Sukanya and says it will be her memory of them, she then shows her a knife.
Flashback shows she made her brothers wear the sacred thread and they give her a Knife, saying it will always protect her. FB ends.
She then shows her some beads which she and Grandma use to play on the ludo, then shows her a baby dress that she wore in her childhood. Jodha ask what about you, mother? Menewati shows her a mirror and says she’s like her and whenever she looks at it, she will remember her, and whenever she does, she will remember her song. Menewati says she doesn’t know about them (the Mughals), so she can’t offer her an advise (concerning her in-laws), but she should always remember one thing, that time chooses his Soldier who can fight, and she shouldn’t run away from situations. So accept it, and do the good things there.
Adham Khan is fuming, remembering the moment Jalal put sword on his neck and says he will definitely have his revenge for this insult! One man, Aslam by name, comes and greets him. Aslam says who does he want him to kill? Adham Khan says Jalal and he’s stunned and says the King…, but Adham Khan makes him agree.
Adham Khan with Aslam comes near Jalal’s tent. Adham Khan says he will deal with these Soldiers, you go inside and do the work otherwise, he will not leave him! Adham Khan says to the Soldiers that they are in the enemy’s state so they should beware!
On the other side, Aslam sneaks in and one Soldier comes in too, but couldn’t see him. He enters the tent and cuts the man with his sword in bed. Suddenly, all soldiers comes in and it is shown that there are pillows in bed.
Jalal comes and Maham Anga ask who is he? Someone informs her that he is here to kill Jalal. Jalal says he had a doubt and it’s because of Uncle Bairam’s teaching. Jalal ask with whom instances did you come here to kill me? Aslam turns around, but Adham Khan kills him. Adham khan asks what they are all doing for Jalal’s safety, and he (Adham Khan) killed him as Jalal’s loyal person. Jalal says Adham Khan killed him as his loyal person, you all ministers should search for who wants to kill him (Jalal)!
Jalal is getting ready for his Marriage (Nikkah). All the Servants makes him wear all the accessories.
On the other side, Sukanya gets Jodha ready. All are happy and her little sister ask how she’s looking? Sukanya shooes her away and makes Jodha wear all the jewelry and ask her to check if she did everything right?
Jalal with headdress on, sees himself in the mirror and smirks.
Baraat (Bridegroom) reaches the venue of the marriage. They are welcomed with flowers sprinkling. Menewati does Jalal’s aarti (welcome prayer/ceremony). Maham Anga is not so happy.
Menewati with pot on her head sits in Jalal’s feet. Grandma ask to put coin in it. Jalal nods and put coins in it. Maham Anga is confused with their rituals as Menewati put thread around Jalal, and touches his shoulders with leaves.
Jalal enters and sits down. Shariffudden ask will all the rituals be done their way? Jalal says they will do their own rituals when they get back to Agra, so let them do their own here. Shariffudden nods.
