Jodha says I don’t want to hurt my people or my Son, I don’t want to hear that my Son is being called illegal, Jalal says I told you that only Salim will be made King, Jodha says but by then, it will be too late, Salim will go away from us which is why I am asking you to let me change my religion, Jalal ask who is asking this; my Wife or Queen of India? Anarkali ask a Servant to keep wine placed here, I want to know if Salim will fulfill his promise and doesn’t touch it or break the promise?
Salim comes there, she greets him, Anarkali ask what can I do for you? Salim says you don’t have to do anything, just sit beside me, Anarkali is wearing musical anklets, he looks at them and gets sad, he bows down to take them off, Anarkali says don’t touch my feet, I am your Servant, Salim makes her sit, he says I want to take off this musical anklets fom your feet and want to lessen my sin, let me take them off. Salim takes off the musical anklets from her feet and throws them away, she looks at him stunned, Salim says because of me, you had to become a Dancer, Anarkali says we should not recall memories that hurt us, Salim says only you understand me.
The Servant comes and says Murad has sent message that he wants to discuss something with you, Salim says tell him that I am busy right now, will talk later! The Servant says okay and leaves.
Jalal is with Jodha, a Servanr brings food, Jodha ask why did you bring it? I didn’t ask for food, Jalal says I asked her to bring it, as you are not fasting, so I thought to have breakfast with you, it’s been ages since I shared breakfast with you, he ask her to eat grapes, Jodha is skeptical and doesn’t eat the grapes, Jalal also doesn’t eat it and keeps hiding them, they both act as if they are eating.
Jalal says I was thinking that you do Prayer for your family and if you don’t do it, then will anything happen to your family? Jodha says you should have thought about it before, Jalal says who will do prayer in your place? Jodha thinks I forgot this, Jalal says I am thinking to spend time with you today, Jodha says no, I have headache. Jalal says you don’t eat which is why you get ill, he ask her to eat apple, Jodha is tensed, Jalal says I was thinking that you never miss prayer?
Jodha says if you had allowed me to change religion, then I would have done the prayer for the last time. Jalal says I will never allow for that, if you think that I am egoistic, then so be it, it’s good that you ate breakfast, he leaves.
Jodha says he’s stubborn, but I will make him agree, Jodha thinks what to do about the prayer? The Servant comes and says all are waiting for you, Jodha says I will not come for the prayer, Jodha thinks I lied to everyone that I am not fasting, but my fast will be complete only with this prayer, but I don’t want Jalal to know about it, what to do?
Murad comes to the dance bar with Daniyal, he comes to Salim and says I wanted to meet you, but you didn’t come, Salim says I sent a message that I am busy, Murad says I have an important work, but you keep coming here all the time, so I had to come here. Salima says Jalal tried to talk to her, but she is not listening, Hamida says she is a Mother, so she can do anything for her Son, any Mother would do that, if I, you or Ruqaiya were in her place… she says sorry Ruqaiya… I didn’t mean that… Ruqaiya says no problem, Ruqaiya thinks it hurts me that in some way, you called me childless, Jodha didn’t fast on Jalal insistence too, I will create misunderstanding now!
Moti ask all the Hindu Servants to start the prayer, they say that Jodha always start the prayer, so how can we do it without her?
Jalal comes there and says to Moti that Jodha didn’t come, but I have fasted too, so I will do the prayer. A Servant says but this fast is done by women for her family, Jalal says when two people marry, they share all problems and life, so why does only women have to pray for her family? Can’t men fast for the betterment of his family too? So I will do the prayer.
Jodha comes there too, Jalal looks at her and smiles… Tum Ho Zindagani plays… they share eyelock.
The Priest says when you both are here, then do prayer as a Couple, they sit to do prayer. Jalal says so you finally came? Jodha says you fasted too? They both pour milk in pool along with other Couples as part of the prayer, then do aarti, they look at each other and recall Ghanghaur time when Jalal had seen her for the first time, both pray and puts oil lamps in the pool.
After the prayer, Jodha says to Jalal so you were acting that you were fasting too? And that’s my point that how does it matter if it’s Muslim or Hindu, you are fasting on a Hindu occasion, so I can fast on Islamic occasion too. Jalal says it matters to me, it’s not about Hindu or Muslim, but it’s about forcing someone to leave her belief, you have all your duties, so no one can call our relationship illegal and about Salim…? He should understand that we cannot take decision by forcing anyone.
Jalal says okay, if Mann Baisa was in your place, would you ask her to change her religion? Jodha says never, Jalal says so Salim should understand that he is next King, his decision can affect many, so he should take decision using mind, we both have joined two religions with our marriage, so we should not change it, if you think I am right, then smile, Jodha smiles shyly, Jalal says now I can assume that you won’t ask to change religion, Jodha nods. Jalal says I am hungry, Jodha says who asked you to fast? Jalal says when you are fasting, then how can I eat?
They go to eat.
Moti says to Jodha that it’s being said that after some months of marriage, love fades away, but you and Jalal’s love is increasing day by day, Jodha smiles.
A Servant comes and informs Jodha that Murad and Salim fought, Salim slapped him, Jodha says this is so wrong, he slapped next King, if Jalal gets to know of it, then he will punish him, this way, both father and son will rift away the more, I have to talk to him.
Jalal gets to know about Salim’s slap, he says to Birbal that this is wrong, I will not tolerate this!
Jodha comes there, Jalal says call Salim in Court, I will punish him there! Birbal nods and leaves, Jodha says I have come to talk about Salim, Jalal says if you are here to defend him, then forget it, he has done a big mistake! Jodha says I am just saying to talk to him in person, not in Court, Jalal says do you even know what position Murad is holding? Jalal comes in Court, all are present there including Murad. Salim comes there too, Jalal angrily looks at him, Salim greets him, Jalal says there is complaint against you that you slapped the next King, is it right? He shouts to answer!!! Salim says yes, it’s true. Jalal ask Murad did you provoke him to do so?
Murad asys no, I just went to talk to him about Punjab, I sent messages to him, but he didn’t come, so I went to him, he said he was busy, but he was at a dance bar, I came there and asked Salim to talk about the matter, but Salim said no, then one Dancer interfered in the matter, so I stopped her, Salim got angry and slapped me, it hurt me that Salim slapped me in front of some common Dancer.
Salim says she is a Dancer, but that doesn’t mean you will insult her here like this! Jalal says enough! Don’t say a word, he says next King is a postion which is after the King, and you can’t insult him like this, so now, I have to make you learn how to respect positions! Say sorry to Murad! Salim says for what?
Jalal says it’s my decision who is at mistake or not, you insulted a great position of government, ask forgiveness right now! Salim says if I don’t do that then…? Jalal gets angry.
