Jalal says I’ll be happy with the idea of both my wives playing. Jodha thinks if Ruqayia wins, then she doesn’t know what she will ask from Jalal.
Maham Anga, Bhagwant das, are stunned as she gets up to play. Jalal is happy that at last, Jodha would be shown her place!
Jodha enters the centre stage and Ruqayia wants to know if she dared to take up the challenge or chicken out, and thinks Jodha would never give up, but Neither in game or in war, I’ve to play well.
Ruqaiya tells Jodha to begin the game as she being younger than her. Jodha answer back, that in game, it is not of age, but trick that matters. But she accepts to play the first move on her insistence.
The game goes on and Initially, Jodha seems to be loosing and Ruqayia says her King was now cornered!
Bharmal, Menewati, Maan Singh, all look proudly at Jodha as they play on, but then, the worry on their faces becomes evident as Jodha begins to loose. They suddenly look tensed.
Ruqaiya gets up and says your game is over and she’s leaving, as all looks on. Jodha stops her and says the game is still on, and in trying to make me loose, you yourself has lost. In the will to make me loose, you made your King insecure, and throws her King out from the Chess table. Bharmal smiles while Jalal is shocked, how it could be possible? Ruqaiya leaves angrily. Jodha also leaves.
But Jalal calls Jodha back and gives her a gift but she denies accepting it, saying with the blessing of her Parents, she played this game, just as a game, and she doesn’t want any wish to be completed. I played it for the King, since that was what he wished for. Jalal looks at her, stunned. She goes and sit back at her place. Jalal stands up.
Ruqaiya is taking puffs from her hookah and she fumes. Hoshiyar says you lost this once, so it’ not a big deal. She throws the hookah on her head and she gets hurt. Ruqaiya says remember not to taunt me!
Jalal comes and sees Ruqaiya coughing while taking puffs. He gives her water and says this much anger! She says she’s sad because she couldn’t fulfill his wish. You wanted to see her defeated, aren’t you sad? Jalal says I am, but I will not show it, because Uncle Khan told me to never show worry after losing, and to always celebrate victory. And you feel elated when you get win from the one who once made you loose. He sits down to puff her hookah. She says Jodha also denied the wish granted by him… aren’t you angry? He says I’ll make her take this wish from me, but it will be me who will decide the wish.
Jalal is in his open Court Diwan-i-Am/Red Fort (Hall of Audience, is a room in the Red Fort of Delhi where the Mughal emperor and his successors received members of the general public and heard their grievances… The Diwan-i-Am consists of a front hall, open on three sides and backed by a set of rooms faced in red sandstone). Some Prisoners are brought to him. People complain to him, that they are being forced to change their religion! He is accused of being rude to the emperor and is ordered imprisonment. One man says I pay my every tax and do my own job, but the Soldiers take him away. His wife comes to the front and says you married a Hindu princess, but you didn’t force her to change her religion.
Jalal gets up from his place and says how dare you question me! You have done a mistake by raising questions at me and your punishment is that, you will work all day and night in the palace prison, and people will listen to your screams! The Soldiers takes his wife.
Jodha says that they came to get justice and what he did with them? He didn’t even pardoned the small kid. She decides Jalal is cruel and heartless!
Ruqaiya calls Jodha and she tells Jodha that they were from different region and the people from outside deserve this behavior while Jodha is fuming with rage.
Jalal is about to leave when the Parent’s child says what’s my punishment? Jalal goes to him and tells him to go back to his home. He says your soldiers took our home and cow away from us and that’s why we came here to get justice from the King, but you took away my Parents. He ask what should I do now? Jalal remembers the past when his Uncle (father’s brother) said that your father, Humayun took throne from me, I’ll not leave you and he’s about to cut him when his wife saved Jalal by saying he is a little child, so what’s its fault? He then remembers what he said to Uncle Khan once that he is remembering his Parents, so Uncle Khan said they are hiding somewhere but he’s with him now. He then remembers how once in childhood, Maham Anga said I am here for Jalal, I am his Mother.
Jalal comes to the present and hugs that child and says release his Parents from the prison and give them their everything. Adham tries to interrupt him, but Jalal shouts and says I know the importance of Parents in one’s life and maybe, he did get victory over the world, but remains alone in life! He says I was lucky enough to get Uncle Khan and Maham Anga. He orders to tell his Parents that the man to God has pardoned them. Ruqaiya is also angry, seeing the soft side of Jalal.
Jodha comes running to Kanhaji (Lord) and complains to him about inhuman Jalal and the injustice in his Court.
Ruqaiya on the other side, is furious when she learns about Jalal’s changed decision about the prisoners. Ruqaiya is taunted by the other harem inmates for losing to Jodha. Ruqayia admonishes them, and warns them of dire consequences if they leak the information of her defeat to Jodha or to anyone!
Bharmal is worrying for Amer and ask Jalal that he wishes to return back to his people now. He seeks Jalal’s permission but Jalal assures the King that Amer will now, never be in danger since it was now under the cover of the Mughal emperor and that everyone would be friendly with them.
In her room, Jodha is shedding tears that her father and mother are returning back to Amer. She was relieved she would not have to fake a smile before them, but was sad that she would now be tortured by Jalal again. Menewati comes to Jodha’s room to find her weeping. She tells Jodha that she is returning to Amer and taking Moti along with her since Moti had failed in her duties. This news about Moti surprises Jodha . She is told by Menewati that Moti had the duty of concealing her tears from every one and she had failed there. Menewati wipes Jodha’s tears.
Menewati says to Jodha what does she think? That it is easy to be a queen? No, it’s not. Good fact, is that everybody follows you, but you can’t follow your heart. It doesn’t matter whether the queen is of Amer or Mughals, as you have to follow rules. I am fulfilling my responsibility in Amer, you do it here as well. Jodha listens intently. Her younger sister comes and Jodha hugs her. They all have an emotional moment. Menewati is teary eyed.
A Servant comes to Jalal and shows him the letter and says Jodha denied accepting it. Now, Jodha is in his room. Jalal says don’t play with my temperament l why you always go against me! Jodha says that she doesn’t want, she doesn’t take it. Jalal says I don’t take back what I grant to someone! Jodha says you can’t give me anything. Jalal says enough! Jodha says according to this letter, you will grant me a wish in my life, but I think you can’t give anything to anyone. You took away the Parents of that innocent child. Didn’t for once about his future, you did injustice and now, granting me a wish? Jalal comes closer and holds her hand and says half of the information is invalid. I don’t want to force you, but if I wanted, I could have forced you to make a wish in front of your Parents and says to respect the King. He leaves her hand and goes away. Jodha is fuming.
Jodha holds her hand as it pains and looks on with anger in her eyes.
Jalal is in bed with Ruqaiya, but couldn’t sleep and gets up. He remembers her words of his cruelty.
Then we see Jalal’s grave and a voice(like in the 1st episode) Jalal: For the first time, I couldn’t sleep, you took away my sleep then.
Now Jodha’s voice: I didn’t know my words has that place in your heart, as you have always said you can’t love, because you don’t have a heart, but you hate with that heart as well
Jalal’s voice says: This is the difference between the thought and the truth.
Jalal is shown pacing across the room and there, Jodha is sleeping peacefully without the knowledge that she took away his sleep.
Adham Khan is holding Moti’s hand forcing her and throws her on the ground and says where will you go! He is drunk and catches her scarf, as she runs.
Ruqayia gets up to see where Jalal has gone to. She comes out and sees Adham is running behind Moti and thinks why is he running behind her? Moti sees the harem and goes inside so that he can’t come in. Adham Khan says where do you think you can go in the harem? He wears her scarf and enters the Harem/women quarters. Ruqaiya sees this and says how dare he enter the harem! Then says he is Maham Anga’s son, so how could she forget?
Here, Jodha is waiting for Moti and ask about her? Nobody knows, so she goes in search of her.
Moti is hiding behind the curtain. Adham Khan is on the other side, looking out for her. He sees her running. But couldn’t see her face. All the queens are playing games and Moti without her scarf, sneakily goes away from there.
Adham Khan bumps into one Servant. She is shocked to him there. He throws her away before she screams out loud, and says he will not leave Moti and leaves from there.
Maham Anga is informed of Adham Khan’s cheapness. She is stunned and says women is becoming his weakness and tells her servant something which is muted.
In harem, Jodha is in search of Moti. Moti takes the scarf from the box and wears it. Some servant ask you are here? Moti is shivering and leaves.
Jodha is behind Adham Khan. His knife falls on the ground. Jodha gives it back to him without knowing he is Adham Khan, as he has veil on. Jodha suspects something isn’t right.
Here, Ruqaiya is fuming thinking of how he entered harem. Jalal comes and ask you awake? Ruqaiya says you are blind so I am awake and you pardoned Maan Singh, which is why today, some other man entered the harem! That day, it was a kid who entered, but now, it’s a man, then in the future…?
Jalal in rage says how dare he enters harem! He will catch the culprit and will not leave him!
Jodha sees Moti and calls her. Moti hugs her and cries loudly. Jodha ask what happened? She says she lost the way and that’s why she’s crying. She ask her to let’s go.
At same time, an announcement goes on that another man entered harem.
Maham Anga catches Adham Khan and ask him to go away now! He obliges and sneaks away. Maham Agna holds him and says when will you leave this cheapness! Adham Khan says he didn’t do anything wrong. She ask him to go into hiding for 2 to 3 days.
Jalal enters and in full anger says some outside person dared to enter the harem! He shouts at the guards and says you failed to do your job and ask to close all the ways out!
Ruqaiya says to Hoshiyar this harem belongs to Jalal and he can’t bear it if anyone enters here. Ruqaiya says it is to be known if he entered on his own, or some girl pointing at Moti gave him some wrong signals?
Jodha waits with Moti and listens to him. Moti is horrified.
Ruqaiya is waiting for the fireworks to begin. She is happy about the threat on Maham Anga’s son’s life.
Jalal orders all in the harem to present themselves before him, All to reveal their faces and soon, Adham khan is discovered, as he’s the tallest amongst the ladies in Veil.
Jalal orders all the ladies to remove their veil and pointed to the one (Adham Khan) who was hesitating. Maham Anga removes the veil and out, came Resham. Jalal once again asks everyone to show up the one who is being hidden! A guard comes and informs that there is a body lying in the Kitchen.
Maham Anga and Resham gets a Flashback where Resham kills a sheep keeper in the field and gets his body in the kitchen. FB ends.
Maham Anga signals to Resham when Jalal says that why did he come to the harem (Women Quarters)? Resham finds a note on the body which indicts Moti.
