Jalal says to Shahabuddin that how dare you even think of killing Salim?? He is next King! Shahabuddin says I am always loyal to you, I did a mistake, Jalal says I can behead you, I can lessen your punishment, you just have to tell us who was involved in this conspiracy! Shahabuddin says I swear I have not done this, Jalal gets angry and says make him say the truth in 2 days and kill him in the market! Jalal leaves.
Jodha is selecting jewelry, Salim comes there, Jodha says you got the news? Maan Singh is going to Amer, if you want to send any message to Mann Baisa, then you can, Salim says I want to say something to you, I want to talk in private, Moti and all leaves.
Salim says I want to say that I don’t want to do this marriage, Jodha is stunned and ask what kind of joke is this? Salim says I am telling the truth, please stop this marriage, I can’t marry Mann Baisa, Jodha says this marriage is decided months back, Salim says I love someone else and wants to marry just her, Jodha ask who? Salim says Anarkali, I love her and want to marry only her, Jodha is shocked.

Salim says the situations were not suitable before, I met Anarkali in Amer, and I got to know she is Nadela, she became a Dancer because of me, and I fell in love with her, I want to give her respect that she deserves, I love her a lot and I won’t be able to live without her, you love Jalal and you can understand me, please talk to Jalal, I have promised Anarkali that I will marry just her, I have Rajvanshi blood too, I can’t break my promise, only you can do something, Jodha says you go now, I will see to the matter, he thanks her and leaves, Jodha is in shock.
A Servant asks Jodha what more stuff is to get prepared to be sent to Amer? Jodha says I will tell you later. She says in heart how will I tell Jalal? Salim’s love on one hand and Jalal’s name on the other.
Anarkali comes into Salim’s room. She sits down, he says your place is in my heart and hugs her. She says look, here you gifted me anklet so I made this sweet for you. It’s not that expensive, but it has sweetness of my love. He says this is the most precious to me. She makes him eat it, he says it’s delicious, Ruqaiya sees them. Anarkali says I should go now, she leaves.
Jalal comes to Jodha, she thinks I will talk to him somehow, she says I want to talk you about something important, Jalal is tensed and says Shahabuddin, the one whom I trusted, he betrayed me too, he says leave it, tell me what you want to say.
A Servant comes and says Rahim wants to meet you, Jalal says I will come, Jodha says I will say it some other time, Jalal says okay and leaves.
Ruqaiya says to Salim that all the Wives are selecting gifts for Mann Baisa, so what should I gift her? Salim says what to hide from you? The truth is that I don’t want to marry Mann Baisa. Ruqaiya acts and says Oh God why? Salim says because I love someone else, she is Anarkali, Ruqaiya says what are you saying? She is a Dancer, you know how Jalal will react to this? And what about Jodha? Mann Baisa is her relative?
Salim says but I am her Son, Jodha has agreed to talk to Jalal about this matter, Ruqaiya says if this is case, then I am happy, my happiness lies in your happiness, if Jodha has took charge, then I am sure she will make Jalal agree to it, Salim says do you have any problem, that I am bringing a Dancer as your Daughter-in-law? Ruqaiya says not at all, she hugs Salim and thinks I have to do something, if Salim gets his love, then Jalal and Jodha will not be separated!
Ruqaiya comes to Jodha and says all are preparing for marriage, why are you in the room? come with me, Jodha says nothing, Ruqaiya says what’s the matter? Tell me, Jodha tells her everything about Salim’s love story, Jodha says he loves Anarkali, Ruqaiya acts like shocked and says what are you saying? You should tell Jalal, Jodha says how to talk to him? Jalal has promised Bhagwan das for marriage, what if Jalal doesn’t agree to Salim’s wish?
Jalal comes and ask what are you talking about? Ruqaiya says we were talking about selecting gifts, Jalal says I am not worried about my daughter-in-law as I know she will be like Jodha, Jodha thinks how to tell him the truth? Jalal says to Jodha that we will go on walk tonight, he leaves.
Ruqaiya says to Jodha that when you go on a walk with him, then tell him about Salim, Jodha agrees.
Jodha is getting ready for the walk, she thinks this is the right time to talk to jalal.
Jalal and Jodha comes to the garden, Tansen sings In Ankhon mein, Jalal and jodha enjoys it, Jodha thinks what if Jalal gets angry listening to this news? He is looking so happy. Jalal praises Tansen, Tansen leaves.
Jalal lies his head in Jodha’s lap, Jodha says you loved me and your heart changed, Jalal says love can happen anytime, but when you love someone, your heart just become his, see me, if I had not loved you, then i couldn’t have been like this, I would have been King, but not the King of people’s heart, Jodha says so you agree that nothing is more beautiful than love? Jalal says yes.
Jodha says what if you started loving me before marriage and we couldn’t have gotten married, then what would you have done? Jalal says I would have crossed all hurdles to get you, as everything is fair in love and war, and when fate has written our relationship, then we have to be one.
Jodha says Salim is our Son, he can love someone too, Jalal says he has already loved someone which is Mann Baisa, he says no more talks, he says let’s go for a walk by the lake side.
At the lake bay, Anarkali comes to Salim and hugs him, she says we are like Light and Sun, can’t be away from each other, Salim says if Light gets away from the Sun, then there will be no trace of the Sun, he says soon, our relationship will become official, but I will regret meeting secretly like this, they smile and hug each other.
Jalal and Jodha are holding hands and walking near the lake.
Salim says to Anarkali that I will marry just you, this is my promise!
Jalal says to Jodha that with you, every time is good, Jodha says I want to say something about Salim, Jalal is shocked to see Salim and Anarkali hugging.
Jalal gets angry seeing Salim hugging Anarkali, he shouts Shaikhu??? Salim and Anarkali gets shocked seeing him there, Anarkali hides behind Salim being afraid.
Jalal brings Salim back to the Palace, Jodha says I want to talk to you Jalal, Jalal says this is a matter between father and son, don’t come in between, Jodha says I know what happened was wrong, but Salim is not a child, we have to talk to him with love, Jalal says this is father-son matter, I request you to leave, Jodha leaves.
Salim says to Jalal that I love Anarkali, Jalal says enough, some words should not be said! He ask whose Son are you? Salim says I am your Son, Jalal says no you are the Son of the whole India, I am king of India and you are the next King, and a King can’t go back on his words, I have given words to Bhagwan das that I will make my Son married to Mann Baisa, but you didn’t think about that innocent Mann Baisa?
Salim says love doesn’t see all this, you have loved Jodha too, then why you want to snatch my love? Jalal raises his hand to slap him, he says don’t cross the limits, you are comparing your Mother with a Dancer?? Salim says love has no limits, it can happen to anyone and it doesn’t see if the other person is a Queen or a Dancer.
Jalal says i have given words to Bhagwan das, Salim says I have also promised Anarkali that I will marry her, one promise will break and it won’t be mine, Jalal says then I assure you that I will fulfill my promise! Salim says I will not marry Mann Baisa, it will be good if you approve my relationship with Anarkali, i have already told to Jodha, and I know she will bless me.
Anarkali comes back home all drenched in water, Zil Baharask what happened? Why are your clothes wet? She wipes her face and ask her to speak up, Anarkali hugs her and cries, Zil Bahar ask what happened? Anarkali says it shouldn’t have happened, I was afraid of just this, I can’t forget it, she cries, Zil Bahar ask to tell it clearly, Anarkali says Salim called me near the lake, she tells her everything.
Zil says what you did? I told you to not see dreams of becoming the Queen, nothing will happen to Salim, as he’s the Crown Prince, but what if anything happens to you? I can’t lose, Anarkali says for sometime, I forgot my position, I can make people happy with my dance, but can’t get happiness for myself.
Salim comes to his room, he is searching for opium, but doesn’t get it, Ruqaiya comes there and thinks that I wanted just this only, this irritation in him will bring fire in him and Jodha’s peace will burn down in the fire!
Ruqaiya says to Salim that what happened? Salim says don’t try to be Jalal’s lawyer, you won’t be able to pacify me and I can’t see you failing, so leave. Ruqaiya says I have come for you, I can’t see my Son like this, she makes him sit and says I don’t want you be angry, I thought Jodha will talk to Jalal, but what happened? Salim says Jodha didn’t get time to talk to him, Ruqaiya says wish Jodha had talked on time to Jalal, then this wouldn’t have happened?
Salim says I don’t care, I love Anarkali and I will marry just her! Ruqaiya says I will be with you and will help you to get Anarkali, but you have to calm down, you should not get angry at Jalal, I know how to talk to Jalal, leave it to me, take rest, she puts the opium jar on the table and leaves.
Jalal is in his room and recalls how Salim openly challenged him and said that Jodha will bless him.
Jodha comes there, Jalal says I always thought we are one, that you know me well and you know what I like and what I dont, why did you hide this thing from me?? Jodha says you have the right to be angry with me, Jalal says it’s not about right and wrong, you didn’t think about your niece?? You didn’t think about my promise? Jodha says what can I do? It’s about love, you have loved too, and what if Mann Baisa gets to know after marriage that Salim loves someone else?
Jalal says this love is not legal, Anarkali is a Dancer who dances to please us, this love is ot right! And what you want? That history writes that Jalal couldnt fulfill his promise and had to make a Dancer a Queen?? Jodha says but Salim loves her, Jodha says we can enjoy with Dancers, but we can’t love them, it never happened and it will never happen! I have decided that Salim will marry only Mann Baisa! He leaves, Jodha is tensed.
Salim recalls how in childhood Jalal gave punishments to him (Salim), how he ordered him to leave the Palace, he finds the opium jar, he takes it.
Jodha comes there, Salim says why you and father do this with me that it hurts me? Jodha says I know your pain and I am with you, Salim says then why didn’t you tell Jalal on time? Jodha says I couldn’t get the time, I am with you.
Salim says this happens with me from childhood, he made me work like Servants, sent me to war field at the age of 9 and now, he wants to snatch Anarkali from me? I was wrong to think that Jalal will understand my feelings, he is just a King, for him, his words and orders matters more than the feelings of his Son, he has always snatched things from me, but I won’t sit quietly now! I sometimes feel he is not my father.
Jodha says don’t talk like this, he is worried for you, everything will be fine, Salim says I don’t know when it will happen, he leaves, Jodha says why all this is happening?
