Jalal again in one of his night walk, recalls Ruqaiya showing him the evidence, his marriage with Salima, and his moments with Rahim. He comes into Salima’s room. She is surprised to see him. He tells her it’s his right as a husband and asks her to help him in removing his clothes. Salima is hesitant. He removes her scarf from her head and gets closer to her and Salima is very uncomfortable. He holds her and says don’t hesitate, as you are my wife and I have the right on you and your love. Salima says yes. Jalal says you loved Uncle Khan, as he loved you a lot, right? Salima doesn’t respond to his question and says some questions has no answers. Jalal says but if your husband ask any question, then the wife has to give him an answer and lays Salima down on the bed. She closes her eyes and says you are my husband and the answer is yes. Jalal says then why did you do this marriage with me, I fulfilled my responsibilities but I never came to your room, as you were Uncle Khan’s wife, but today, you didn’t think about him when getting closer to me? She says because I can’t stop you, you are my husband now. Jalal says so you choose your current husband over your dead husband whom you loved, and present that box to her, and ask her to eat it. She says if you are presenting this, then I will surely eat it. She’s about to eat it when Jalal stops and says no, you are not the one.
Adham Khan says I think I know the real Culprit. Maham Anga ask who? Adham Khan says you, only you have the guts to do it, so please spill the beans now, and trust me, I will be happy if you did it, as then, it will be shown that you love me more than Jalal, and you did it for my future. Maham Anga is angry.
Jalal gets up from bed. Salima says I don’t get it. He says I wanted to know something and got it. He places her scarf on her head and says you were Uncle Khan’s respect, you are, and you will always be, I am sorry for all this. Salima is still confused, so Jalal says someone tried to trap you and failed, a man can be wrong one time, but if twice, then he is a fool which I am not, first, he trapped Jodha, now you, but I will find him! He leaves.
Maham Anga says to Adham Khan, are you mad? You think to prove that I love you, I will do such a thing? I didn’t bring Jalal to this world, but I have fed him, and this allegation is a disgrace to my loyalty with Jalal. There between you and Jalal, you doubted me, and if Jalal finds any clue against me, he will not ask me. She ask him to leave and cries. She sadly sits on bed and says I don’t know what the truth is, but this is the truth, that I love my Son more than anyone else, even more than Jalal.
There’s a flashback where Maham Anga remembers Adham Khan’s bitter words and how he pushed her away, and says go and bring Jalal’s heir to this world, so that he will become big and get the throne, while I serve him just as I served his father, Jalal! He ask her to leave! Maham Anga comes to him and caresses his face. FB ends.
Maham Anga says how to tell you that I am truly behind this conspiracy?
A flashback is shown that it was Maham Anga who brought in that box/container from that man, then we see Maham Anga stealthily putting that Thorn Apple’s extract in many boxes of the Saffron brought in for Ruqaiya, when Salima suddenly comes, asking for Rahim? Maham Anga handles her quickly and sends her off. Then she discovers that the box was missing. FB ends.
Ruqaiya is dressing her wound in her room when Jodha comes and ask about her wound? Ruqaiya says which wound is she talking about, that on the hand or heart? Jodha says you saved me… Ruqaiya sends Hoshiyar out and tells her to look around for herself, before talking about political issues. She ask Jodha the reason for coming here?
Jodha says I wanted to thank you. Ruqaiya says I already told you earlier on, that I have the authority over this women quarters, as well as Jalal’s mind. If i didn’t stop him that night, you would have… Jodha says the question is why you stopped him? Earlier, you were against me and I think that you now know the real Culprit. Ruqaiya says it’s not your concern!
Jodha says the Culprit trapped me and brought disgrace to my family, so I have to know. Ruqaiya says you are not so clever to understand political issue nor do you have the right to know, go and celebrate your freedom! Jodha says because of him, I suffered so much, myself and my family suffered house arrest, Sukanya’s groom got killed.
Ruqaiya says because I saved you, that doesn’t mean you have become an important part here, and you have no importance in Jalal’s life as well! She refuses to tell her anything and sends her away with her questions, as no one was allowed to interrupt the queen in her sleep and she rest.
In her room, Maham Anga is worried about her missing box. She thinks of finding out who has it, as she would be caught without her handling it on time.
Maham Anga goes to meet Jalal in his room. And questions why he released Jodha from the house arrest Jalal tells her that he had found out she was not the culprit. Maham Anga wants to know who it was, and what clue he has. She says as she is the minister, she had the rights to know. Jalal says he had decided he would not share his clue with anyone, but Maham Anga is different. He decides to show her the evidence. Maham Anga is shocked to see the box in Jalal’s hand.
She says this is just a box and what does it proves? Jalal says it’s not just a box, but there is the proof of my heir’s murder in it, the Thorn Apple’s extract was brought in, with it, and Ruqaiya drank it and this will take me to the real Culprit!
Maham Anga panics a little and ask from where he got it? As that should mean the person you’ve got it from, must be the real Culprit. Jalal says I have full faith that that person hasn’t committed this crime and now, time will tell me the real Culprit, you take rest and he leaves from there.
Maham Anga thinks this box/container is the same, as the one she had and how did Jalal get a hold of it? And the one he was talking about, is the same person he can’t doubt and the person who has that place in his life, which is only her! She is hell shocked.
Jodha is doing aarti (lighting of the oil lamp platter) of Lord when a Servant announces that Jalal is arriving here.
Jalal comes, he remembers when Jodha asked him not to come in here, wearing shoes. He remove his shoes and waits till her prayer was over. He takes the aarti and shows the box and asks if she knows about it? She says no. Jalal says do your brothers know about it? She retorts, to go ask them, they are in Agra! Jalal says I am doubting you. Jodha says you doubted us, captured us and destroyed my dignity. Jalal says I know you and your brothers aren’t the Culprit and that’s why I have given your brother the ministry of state and I have given you freedom with full honour.
Jodha breaks the glass and says honour and dignity are like this glass, once broken, it can’t be mended, and if you mend it, even then, there will be broken line visible on it. Jalal ask the Servant to bring these pieces into his room and says Jodha, I will give you the answer. He leaves after glancing and wearing his shoes.
Maham Anga, Hamida bano and some Aunties are sitting, when one ask Maham Anga, that in Jalal’s childhood, only you was there for him? Maham Anga says yes, and that Hamida bano and King Humayun were underground, so myself and Bairam Khan were there for him.
Hamida bano says the news of Humayun’s death was kept in secret and some other man sat on the throne as Humayun, because if the enemies got to know that Humayun had died, and Jalal wasn’t in the Palace they would have attacked them.
Maham Anga is thoughtful and says I am thinking about who killed Jalal’s Child. Hamida bano says I think Jalal knows him, and that’s why he freed Jodha. Maham Anga ask then why didn’t he announce his name? Some lady answers that he knows better. Maham Anga is thinking and leaves. The lady says Maham Anga is hiding something for sure, I know her well.
Javeda (Maham Anga’s daughter in-law) is blabbering, saying, she prays that eagles eats the meat of the one that killed Ruqaiya’s child! Maham Anga is irritated. Javeda says I know the person that killed the Child. Maham Anga ask what she’s saying? Javeda says the killer must be very close to Jalal, just like you, and must as well be someone whom no one can doubt. Maham Anga thinks of some evil plan and says you are the one that no one can doubt, you have killed the Child!
Javeda is stunned and says I can’t even kill an Ant, so how could I have killed a Child? Maham Anga says you have a reason for killing Jalal’s Child, as you hope that you and Adham Khan’s Child will get the throne. Javeda says I can’t conspire that much and our Child will be Jalal’s right hand, not the King. Maham Anga says if you talk about this topic again, then the doubt will be on you! Javeda says she will not talk about it anymore and leaves. Maham Anga have a sigh of relief.
Bhagwant Das tells Bharmal to return to Amer, but Bharmal says until the Culprit is found, before Amer’s lost respect is returned back. They praise Maan Singh too and he, in turn, praises Jodha. All of them decide to return Jodha once Jalal realizes his mistakes.
Jodha meets Salima and they discuss about the box and they come to know that someone is trying to frame both of them. Salima says that Jalal is investigating the matter.
Jalal is pondering over what, how and who has done the misdeed. Jalal is holding the box when Rahim comes and sees the box, he goes and confesses to Jodha, how he was playing and hid behind a Piller/box and watched Maham Anga mixing the Saffron when Salima came in, he got out and took the box along. He tells Jodha that now, the box is with Jalal, and he will imprison him (Rahim) for stealing the box! Jodha is shocked to know that Maham Anga is responsible for Ruqaiya’s Miscarriage.
Rahim ask will Jalal punish me? Will he think of me as a thief? Jodha pacifies him saying nobody will punish you, now go to your Mom. He hugs her and says you are good. He leaves.
Moti comes and says he’s attached to you. Jodha tells her that the box was found in Salima’s room. Moti thinks Salima is the Culprit. Jodha tells her everything that Rahim told her. Moti says I knew it…, Maham Anga is not a true person and she was against you from the time when you burnt the dress she brought for you, and ask why don’t you tell Jalal this?
Jodha says he trust her blindly, he will not believe me. Moti ask why Rahim didn’t tell Jalal this? Jodha says he is a Child and he doesn’t know the real conspiracy behind what he has seen, and this is only a Child’s words, and not a solid proof, so Jalal will reject this if I tell him.
