Gangaa goes off into unconsciousness. They take her out, and as she lies unconscious on the floor, they call the buyer, and ask her to take her away, and give them the remaining amount. He however inspects the girl first, while Gangaa lies unconscious, then he agrees, and they lift an unconscious Gangaa and help him place her in the jeep and drove off.
Meanwhile, Sagar breaks free from his clutches, and then rushes in to save Amma ji, who was being burnt alive on the funeral pyre, by one of the saints. He hits the saint, who falls on the floor, and then rescues Amma ji, who hurriedly asks him to go and save Gangaa. As he rushes outside, he finds Gangaa being taken away in a jeep. He starts rushing after the jeep, calling out incoherently to Gangaa. Sagar rushes distraught on the road, while Gangaa, who has woken up, struggles frantically, to free herself, calling out his name. The jeep waivers around, as they try and put her down. Finally, the jeep bolts into a lamp-post. They all run away, while Sagar catches up to her. In the tussle, he falls and she lands right on top of him. He asks if she is okay? she complies. Just then, the Police arrives, and they nab the goons. Pulkit arrives, and he’s assured that Gangaa is safe. Then Amma ji arrives in a daze. Gangaa asks if she is okay? Amma ji says that she is relieved seeing her alive. Amma ji profusely apologises to Gangaa, that in her bid to save Sagar, she couldn’t see their fake appearance and unintentionally, she drove her to this. Gangaa begs her not to think like this, and hugs her overwhelmingly, as tears stream down her cheeks. Gangaa says that it’s wonderful that they found out the truth about those rogues. Sagar and Pulkit stand tensedly. The police leaves.
Prabha wakes up after seeing a horrific nightmare, as to how Yash was killed in an escapade by the Police. she turns around and finds her husband already awake and in a daze. she asks him why he hasn’t slept since? He says that he is fine. she asks what’s the matter as he is hiding something. He lashes at her, saying that he can’t bear lights on, and lashes out at her to close them! She complies and sleeps, then he remembers how he has been insulted and embarassed in his office by his colleagues, and how he was summoned to the office, whereas the boss, says that since his son has been implicated in a murder case, and being involved in this case, it has reached the higher authorities. He is asked to resign as they won’t wish to fire him. He writes her (Pragya) a letter saying that he’s going away, he will hurt her, and he would have to live with the regret that he stranded her in times of trouble, but he has no other option.
Sagar wakes up and comes out in the balcony, to find Gangaa playing with a Puppy. He writes a letter and throws it in a bucket. Gangaa gets a letter from Sagar, that he will always stand by her in times of trouble, and won’t let any bad thing befall her, and asks her to trust him. She too writes back something, and sends it back in the bucket. She writes saying that she knows, and even if he doesn’t say anything, she has the faith, that as long as he is there, his Gangaa will not have a prooblem. They eye each other overwhelmingly. He writes back saying that when he feeds her to small animals, he finds her behaving like a granny, and then says that he is sure that she will look equally pretty then too. They both smile.
Gangaa too retorts back to Sagar, saying that he will look as old as these animals, when he grows old. He pretends to be hurt. In his frustration, he throws a bucket of water on her, and she flared up. She starts rushing up the stairs to get to him. He guffaws.
Amma ji, Pulkit and Madhvi sit down and discuss with the inspector, who tells that they were able to retreive the jewellery, but not the cash when Gangaa comes in drenched in water. Pulkit takes them to Amma ji, who says that they got the jewellery back and Gangaa is safe, they don’t need anything else. She gets tensed and passes by stealthily. Sagar too descends down the stairs. The Inspector tells them as to how they were caught, and how they have been a group of thugs, who are used to conning people like that. Amma ji realises her mistake, and says that she will stay far away from such people from here on. The Inspector takes his leave, and Pulkit leaves to see him off.
Sagar turns to the Ladies. Madhvi says that everything seems to be coming back to normal, and once Niranjan returns, they can have a Peace ceremony, so that peace can be restored. Pulkit returns back. Amma ji points out instinctively, that she feels some greater trouble looming ahead, but they all assure her not to think like that. They decide to have a getaway soon, and plan on seeing Sangam in allahabad, as supriya can’t travel far. While they are finalising the plans, they get a call and Madhvi picks it up, and she’s shocked to hear what had happened. All are tensed. She comments as to how this is possible? she asks the person not to worry as they will reach there right away. She informs that they have to go to prabha’s place right away.
Sagar reads out Ratan’s letter to the entire family, while Prabha is distraught. She talks about what happened last night. She is apalled and beyond consolation, while others listen to her helplessly. She says that she is very tensed, that something wrong might happen, but they keep assuring her against it. They are tensed to see her like this. She asks Sagar if he won’t commit suicide? Madhvi assures her and asks her not to think like this, as they would search for Ratan together. She sends her Sons to go and see, and decides to call Niranjan too. They leave, while Gangaa is stressed too. Sagar asks her not to tell Amma ji and Supriya as they would be tensed.
Ratan walks listlessly on the road, as words of insult and humiliation from the society resonate in his ears, and he gets dizzy and collapses on the floor when some goon notice him from a distance and decides to mug him, as he seems pretty influential.
Sagar stands tensed, when Pulkit hurriedly comes and asks why was he called here, saying that he has searched everywhere, but no clue? Sagar and Pulkit are tensed, as Sagar tells him that he was at the Police station to file a complaint about Uncle, when he got to know from the Police Inspector, that at the nearby bus station, there had been an incident. He says that they found a dead body and claims that it could be their Maternal Uncle. Pulkit is shocked too. He says that he couldn’t decide what to do, and hence called him here. Sagar says that he hasn’t seen the body. He tells that the Police wants the last person that saw him alive, to identify the body, so he called everyone, including Prabha, as she was the last person. Pulkit asks if he told her about the dead body? He denies it, saying that he couldn’t muster the courage. Just then, Prabha comes rushing with the family, asking if they got to know anything? On being bombarded with an array of questions, Sagar is unable to respond, and simply asks them to come inside. They tensedly comply. The Police asks if they are ready for the identification? Madhvi and Prabha are shocked. She gets berserk, and asks what’s he saying, and why the need for it? Sagar hesitatingly talks about the accident, and how they need to identify a dead body. Prabha says that he is fine, and she doesn’t need to do this. She begins to leave.
Gangaa says that they all feel nothing has happened to Ratan, but it’s best to confirm, so that they are at peace that it isn’t him. She convinces them all to get it and somehow, they move towards the morgue.
In the morgue, as they stand in front of a dead body, the Police warns that the face is completely disfigured. Madhvi refuses to see it, saying that this can’t be her brother, and asks them all to come along. The Police says that they found some things from the body, which can be used for verification. He presents an ID-card, which is Ratan’s and they are shell shocked. The Police reveals the body, and Prabha identifies it as the same arm, with the same shirt. All are shocked and distraught. Madhvi collapses on the ground, while Prabha screams incoherently. She clutctes at the body, while they somehow manage to take her away.
Prabha stands in her room, dazed and stunned. Outside, Amma ji asks Sudha, another Widow, if she would manage? She says that she will, but She doesn’t know how she will manage. Madhvi comments that she can’t see this. Amma ji says that this is the fate of many Ladies like them. They get the widow attire, and then knock on her door, Amma ji asks her to open it, as she can’t escape fate. When she finally opens it, they are shocked to find that she’s already dressed in white. She says that now that her husband is gone, there isn’t any need for beautification, and starts banging her bangles against the wall, breaking them, while they all stand distraught and apalled at her plight. Prabha says that it’s best that she understands it ASAP. All are tensed. She then opens her hairs, and asks Sudha to cut them and give her salvation. Sudha stands tensed. Prabha says that it’s normal for her, as her husband has died, and she too is a widow. Madhvi says that she won’t be able to bear this. Gangaa too asks her not to do this. Prabha lashes out as to why she’s stopping her for her husband’s grief, and that she can’t discard off rituals like she herself did. She asks Sudha to do it, or she will do it herself. Gangaa remembers her own plight, when she insistently takes the scissors away, and just when she is about to cut her own hair, saying that she knows she is doing it herself, and no one is forcing her, but still she won’t allow her to do this. She asks that this ritual needs to be stopped, where the wife is tortured as if she is to be blamed! Amma ji tries to stop her, but Gangaa asks them all, all the widows, if they are responsible for their husbands’ death, then why the punishment?
Despite everybody else talking otherwise, Gangaa vehemently denies Prabha of cutting her hair at any cost, and even if that means bearing evil, she would take so on her head. All are tensed and apalled, while Gangaa is vehement on her stand. Prabha stands distraught.
At the terrace, Gangaa is tormented by her childhood memories, when sagar comes and asks what’s the matter, and if she’s bean taken back to her haunting childhood memories? She asks how does he know? He says just like she can feel his every breath, he too understands her and smiles. She smiles back through her tears. He manages to cheer her up, while he cups her face and kisses her on the forehead. He says that Supriya told him about how she stopped Prabha from cutting her hair.
He says that he is proud of her. She says that she feels light. He tries to tease her that he needs to pick her up, to find out how light she is. They both retire away, bantering happily, for the night.
After 14 days, while the ladies of the house are busy working, Amma ji storms in frustration and fuming with anger. Madhvi is tensed and asks Amma ji what’s the matter? she says that she forcibly got Prabha here, and Amma ji lashes at her, saying that she did understand, but that doesn’t mean she will stay here forever and asks if Prabha should go back or not? Madhvi asks Amma ji, where would Prabha go, as she has no one else other than them? Amma ji asks if she’s liable for her? She says that Prabha won’t tell her what to and what not to do! Madhvi asks her to stay hush, saying that Prabha speaks incoherently, but she doesn’t mean wrong, while Amma ji says that she can’t seem to believe it. She says that she can’t stay here, as keeping her here, is like keeping a snake, that might bite anytime! Prabha hears this and gets shocked. All are apalled. Madhvi asks her to hush as Prabha is here. Amma ji eyes her tensedly and then leaves.
