Maan Singh says that he doesn’t agree that Jodha is to be blamed and if she has done this crime, then even he, is guilty.
One of the ministers also states that Jodha should be given a chance to prove herself according to Mughal laws. Hameeda bano also speaks up and tells that she feels that it’s some conspiracy against Jodha and she relates the chilli powder incident and how the Saffron could have been manipulated after being tested as well.
Hamida bano gets up and says in Mughal’s Court, 100 culprits may not get punishment, but 1 innocent person shouldn’t get punishment. I wish this time, the real culprit should be caught and give punishment to him. This is Queen Mother/Empress’ request to you.
One religious minister agrees with Hameeda bano. Another minister agree to her point of view.
Jalal looks at Ruqaiya who is distraught, but agrees to Hamida bano’s point of view. Jalal is furious and says only for the sake of Mughal’s justice, I am giving them 10 days to prove their innocence! They have just 10 days, but they will be in house arrest and can’t meet each other as well! Jodha is shocked. He says if they don’t prove their innocence in 10 days, then I will burn them alive! All are shocked. Jalal has volcano in his eyes for Jodha.
Ruqaiya sadly sits in her room and looks at the mirror when she remembers the mirror incident where she said I am seeing the face of the prospective Queen mother. She shouts no!! And turns her face away from the mirror.
Jalal comes to her and says I listened to Mother and the religious scholar, but why did you allow me to give them some time, as I could have burnt them alive! Ruqayia says that way, investigation could have stopped here, and only Hamida bano has gotten a point there, which is valid. And before, in harem/women quarters, unborn children of different wives always dies, even when Jodha wasn’t here, which means the thing we are seeing isn’t true, but there is something, and now, I really want to know what the truth is – Who is he, the one who doesn’t want a Mughal heir to come into this world? Jalal holds her and says I still think what happened was due to just Jodha, as she only wanted to take revenge, to see my head down, and to see me in pain and she has given me just that, by killing my Child! Ruqaiya says only 10 days and the truth will be out by then. After the 10 days, you will cut off the head of the Culprit, whether it’s Jodha or someone else! Jalal thinks deeply.
In Jodha’s room, Hamida bano comes. Jodha gets up happily and greets her. Jodha says you shouldn’t be here, as Jalal has ordered that no one should meet me, so why did you risk that by coming here?
Hamida bano makes her sit and says I am in that post where Jalal can’t get angry at me, I am his mother and you have also called me mother, which is why I am here. Jodha says I am not sad for being in house arrest, but because of the allegations on my family. Hamida bano says both time and god can’t do injustice with the innocent. She adds that Jalal is angry now, but after sometime, he will definitely realize his mistake and you will again walk with high head but for now, I am sad at the injustice by my Son. Jodha gets on her knees and wipes Hamida bano’s tears and says but I am proud of you, I am so lucky to have you as Mother in-law, as you stood up for me in full Court. Hamida bano says you are my daughter and your pride is important for me, and also, Jalal is wrong in Mughal’s Court. Injustice can’t happen there so I had to stood up, if you have any problem here, then inform the soldiers outside. Jodha says I have one problem, I daily lits oil lamps in front of Kanha ji (lord) but now, I can’t and this problem is making me restless.
Hamida bano says the oil lamps will lit in front of your lord, I will do just that. Jodha is thankful. They hug each other and as Hamida bano leaves. Jodha wipes her tears.
Jodha’s brothers bicker that they will not get justice here.
Adham Khan on the other hand, says this much big conspiracy? Maham Anga says not a conspiracy, but a big sin by killing the unborn child of a King. Adham Khan says I want to kill that Amer people! Maham Anga also says she wants the Culprit to be killed, but maybe, Amer’s family isn’t the Culprit.
Bhagwant Das says it’s Jalal’s trick to hold them captive. Maan Singh disagrees. Bhagwan das says so what Jalal did with them was the right thing? Maan Singh says no, but it wasn’t incorrect either and whoever was in Jalal’s place could have done the same thing, as every proof was against them, but instead, he gave us some time, who can challenge the King’s order? A brother ask if there is someone he doubt to have been the real Culprit? Maan Singh says doubt could be placed on so many people, like Adham Khan, as he has bickered with the King in Court numerous time. Bhagwant das says it could be Shariffudden.
Here Maham Anga also suggests Shariffudden’s name as datura is made in his state and he doesn’t like Jalal’s softness toward Amer, as well.
There, Maan Singh says Shariffudden didn’t like when he returned their money.
Adham Khan says who can doubt you Mom?
Maan Singh suggest Maham Anga’s name, and says from that fateful day, when Jodha has burnt the dress given by her (Maham Anga), Maham Anga and Jodha doesn’t share good rapport.
Here, Maham Anga says you can stop the hands of a Culprit, but you can’t stop the tongue of the person doubting you, Jalal is in an angry state and in these 10 days, many names will come in front of him as the Culprit and if Jalal deduces any of them as Culprit, he will kill him/her right away and I can be one of them, no wonder.
The brothers get the food from a Servant which is very simple, as for prisoners Bhagwant das says nobody will eat it. They all ask him why? He says the one who can make Jalal’s wife drink Thorn Apple’s extract and also planned a miscarriage can easily mix anything/poison in this food, so they shouldn’t eat it. They talk about how Jodha will come out of this fiasco if she’s not poisoned and how Jalal will find out the Culprit and deliver justice.
Moti prays in front of Krishna, when Hamida bano comes and asks the guards to leave as there is no threat to her. She recalls how prayer was done when she had given birth to Jalal. She asks Reva to get the prayer items and prays. She explains to Moti and the other maids that she had seen it done in Umarkot, so she knows how to do it.
Jalal asks Hamida bano why did she meet Jodha? She tells him that she is the Mother queen and Jalal’s mother and no one can stop her from meeting her daughter-in-law. Jalal is angry and leaves.
The Chief Minister asks Jalal if he had invited Bharmal? Jalal answers in positive, as he wanted to have a word with Bharmal, just like the way he did with his Sons. Bharmal had sent a message that Sukanya’s marriage has been fixed with the prince of Sujanpur.
At Sujanpur, Bharmal and Sukanya’s in-laws share light moments. Amer started with the celebration. Menewati is happy as Sukanya has finally gotten a groom, since after getting Jodha married to Jalal, it was very difficult to find a groom for Sukanya.
At night in Agra:
A messenger comes and calls Jodha and her brothers to have an audience with Jalal.
The Prime minister announces that the King wanted to talk about important things, and that’s why he has called you all. Bhagwant das ask what important talk?
Jodha comes into the Court looks at him. Jalal turns and look at Jodha with so much anger, and also gave that look to her brothers. He says with my orders, you are under house arrest, and with my order, you are all here, and the news is that, with my order, Bharmal is coming here. They are all shocked. Jalal says listen, as he wants to give some good news. Jodha thinks Jalal says I want to ask you all, whether to first give the good news or I should tell him about your conspiracy? Nobody answers, so Jalal says okay, no answer, then I alone will decide this, and tells them to leave! All leaves except Jodha. He gives her a look and says I asked everybody to leave! Jodha is furious and ask what he wants? He says that you go back, and orders to take her to the house arrest place! She sternly says I asked what you wanted? Jalal comes closer and says I will know after 10 days. She ask what will you do to my father? He says he doesn’t need to answer the Culprit. She says if you do anything wrong, then I will not bare anything you do. He says so you do feel pain when your family gets hurt and informs her that after 17 times of rejection, your sister is finally committed to someone, and for Bharmal and you, this relations is very important, so why don’t we celebrate this in a grand style? Jodha says don’t do this with my father, he will be broken, and what will you get by this? He answers Peace! I will get peace by hurting you! They look furiously at each other. He orders the Soldiers to follow his order! They gather around Jodha who is super angry.
The Minister says to Maham Anga that he heard Bharmal is coming, but wants to know how Jalal will behave with him. Maham Anga says I also want to know. Will Jalal leave him or not, and how he will be welcomed in Jalal’s Court.
Bharmal comes into the Court and greets Jalal. Maham Anga isn’t so happy. Bharmal says I got your letter, so I came to give you the news and presents some gifts and sweets. He says my daughter, Sukanya is engaged to the King of Sujanpur, Ratan Singh. There will be haldi (tumeric) ceremony which would happen in the coming days. Jalal says what a happy news. Bharmal ask to eat sweets, then Jalal nods and take one piece, and ask Bharmal to eat first, when somebody says I have arranged these sweet and he can taste it. Bharmal ask for Jalal’s order. Jalal gives him a piece and says maybe you felt bad, but there is poison spread all over Agra. Bharmal says didn’t get that. Jalal says I will get it and orders that he will eat these sweets in leisure hour! Maham Anga thinks what is he doing, not telling him the truth? Bharmal ask for permission. Jalal allows him to without really listening and says you came from far, so definitely, you will want to meet your daughter. He orders to take him to Jodha and he leaves.
Maham Anga tries to say something. Jalal says I know you are about to ask me, why I didn’t tell him about the house arrest? He says Bharmal will be so pained when he sees his Children with his own eyes in such condition, and will come back to me in minutes with pain in his eyes, and that will be really fun. Maham Anga smirks.
Bharmal is going towards Jodha’s room when he meets Adham Khan in the middle of the way. He gives him an angry look and thinks now, Jalal called him as well which is good, as they will wipe each others tears in this house arrest!
Bharmal’s this time welcome, is quite strange to him, as Jalal didn’t congratulate him, not even Adham Khan and he didn’t accept gifts as well. He comes to her room where there is strict security. He again thinks this much security? Maan Singh sees him. He comes and all the brothers greet him. He says Sukanya is engaged and congratulations to you all. Bhagwant das says yeah, got to know from Jalal.
One brother thinks whether he knows about the house arrest? Bharmal says Jalal is very clever, before I could say anything, he allowed me to meet you all. Bhagwant das thinks whether Jalal want to arrest him as well?
Bharmal ask for Jodha. They all panics when Jodha comes from behind and greets him and says got to know that you are here, so took permission to meet you. Bharmal ask permission for a single thing? You are taking permissions and there’s high alert security, tell me, what’s the problem? They are all silent when Bhagwant das finally says they are under house arrest. Bharmal says but why? And ask Jodha that you are a queen here, then why the house arrest? Bhagwant das informs him that Ruqaiya had a miscarriage by being fed Thorn Apple’s extract and they immediately doubt us.
Then we see flashbacks of Jodha feeding Ruqaiya, Saffron milk. FB ends.
Bhagwant Das continues that the datura was said to be from Amer which served as an evidence against us. Jodha is getting 10 days to prove their innocence.
Jalal says by now, Bharmal would have known the truth and wanted to see his changing colour.
Bharmal ask why Jalal didn’t give me any hint concerning this? He now realise why everyone’s behaviour wasn’t good towards him, and the strict checking of sweets given by me, as Jalal thought that I will give him poison. He is about to go when Jodha ask where he’s going? He says he needs to meet Jalal ASAP and needs to clarify things, that you are indeed innocent.
Sukanya and her younger sister is having a fun time. Menewati enters and says the same fun attitude was developed between Jodha and Sukanya when she was getting married.
We have a flashback of when Sukanya says to Jodha that from now on, you will not be able to snatch anything away from me. FB ends.
Menewati says same protocol should be given to Sukanya on her marriage, when her younger sister says otherwise as she will again complain that Jodha gets everything! They all have a laugh at this. A Servant informs them about the letter from Agra to Menewati. The letter comes with news that “Ruqaiya’s miscarriage has been blamed on Jodha and her brothers!” Menewati in her unique hyper mode, breaks down and Grandma gives her same sane advice to control herself. Sukanya also pacifies her.
Bharmal asks Jalal why he did not tell him the news himself, and that he is wrong in accusing his family without a fair trial. Bharmal says he has the right to ask him. Jalal says you are not a father in-law, but the father of the people that killed my child! Jalal threatens, that the day, he finds an evidence against Amer, he will wipe out the entire clan and will not leave Bharmal too! Jalal asks his Servant s to serve Bharmal good food, but Bharmal refuses and says he will rather fast.
Jalal is furiously thinking of the turn of events when Maham Anga comes. Jalal ask What questions do you have? She says in Court, it is not good to interrupt in the middle and that was why she didn’t say anything there, but here, I would like to ask my son some questions. She asks why he’s behaving normal in front of Bharmal? If the Princes of Amer are in prison, then why not the King of Amer? And if Thorn Apple’s extract came from Amer, then Bharmal too is to be blamed, and she thinks this conspiracy isn’t possible without his involvement. He should give him punishment as well, so as to serve as an example and if the one to be hunted is here, then why are you still waiting? The hunter should do justice by hunting! Jalal is thoughtful.
