Jalal leaves sadly. Jodha cries.
Maham is leaving Agra Palace under Maan Singh’s supervision, Javeda and Resham are going, seeing off Maham.
Jalal in his room recalls Jodha’s words that if he ever thought of Maham as his Mother, then go and meet her, he recalls his childhood when Maham used to play with him, he recalls how Jodha said that meet Maham not as a King, but as her Son. Jalal recalls his childhood mischiefs, he hides Maham’s things, Maham runs behind him and catches him, Jalal imagines all this in front of him.
Maham ask Jalal where he hid her things, Tad Jalal says that I won’t give it, Maham says give it to me, I will show it to you when you will become big to show you how much naughty yoy were in childhood! The child Jalal hides behind the Throne. Maham brings him out and ask him to sit on the Throne, not hide behind it, I want to you see you as the great King Jalal, you will be history’s best King, Jalal says but Kings have big moustaches, Maham laughs and says you will also get it, then all will call you a King with moustache. She hugs Jalal. The imagination of Jalal vanishes, Jalal is tensed to recall all this.
Maham is leaving the Palace, all the wives in the Harem comes to see her off, Maham greets Hamida, Maham is lying on plank which the Servants are taking out from the Palace, Resham stops them, Maham sees the garden area and recalls how she had seen Adham’s deadbody there and points to that area.
Resham ask Maan Singh to take Maham to the garden area, Maan agrees, Maham’s plank is put on same place where Adham was lying dead, she touches the place and cries for Adham, Resham hugs her, Maham says I want to go to my Son, I can’t even say bye to my Son Jalal, I am very unlucky.
Maham recalls how Jalal said that I lost my mother and I don’t know if you are regretting for losing your Son or not, he says you will remain Chief Minister, but you won’t have your Son with you now! FB ends.
Maham cries, Hamida comes there, Maham ask where is Queen Jodha? Please call her here, Hamida agrees and ask a Servant to inform Jodha that Maham wants to meet her.
Jodha is praying to Kahna ji in her room and says what kind of situation is this, that I can’t fulfill the wish of a dying person? The Servant comes and says Maham wants to meet you. Moti says should I say no to her? Jodha says no, I have to meet Maham, she goes to meet her.
Jodha comes to the garden area to meet Maham, Maham is taking her last breaths, Jodha comes to her and says Maham your wish, I could not… Maham says Jalal, Jodha says I am saying that Emperor… Maham points to something behind Jodha, all turns to see Jalal standing there.
Maham says Jalal, my Son, Jalal takes off his turban and starts coming to Maham, Maham imagines child Jalal coming to her, she is craving for Jalal to come to her fast, Jalal comes, Maham hugs him tightly and cries, she says my Son, Jalal. Jalal cries too and says elder mother. Maham says my Son has come, he called me Mother. Jalal calls her mother again and says you are always my Mother, Maham smiles and says thank God, my Son has come back, she ask Jalal what had happened to you? You could have killed me, but why you stopped calling me Mother, why you gave me punishment like that?
Jalal says you were given punishment by King Jalal, but now, your Son Jalal has come to meet you, how are you? Maham says to be honest, I don’t want to live, she caresses Jalal and looks at Jodha, she says Queen Jodha used to come to make me eat food, I want to say something in front of you all. She says to Jodha;
That I never accepted you, I agree that I hated you all this time, but today, you gave me my Son Jalal, you gave me the biggest happiness of my life which no one could give to me, but I am MAHAM ANGA, I also don’t take debts, so I will also fulfill your wish and will pay your debt, I cursed you and Jalal and today, in front of all, I take back my curse.
Jodha cries in happiness, all smile. Maham says;
As from today, I pray that Mughal get the heir of Jalal and you give heir to the Mughal Saltanate, Jodha will become the mother of Jalal’s heir only, she has Jalal’s children in her womb and she will give birth to my Jalal’s children and she has the right to become Marium Zamani (Queen Mother)!
Jalal kisses Maham’s forehead, Maham sees some lady and recalls she is the Hindu Servant that said to Maham once that she will someday salute a Rajvanshi, she calls that Servant forward and says you said so and today in front of all, I bow down to a Rajavnshi and salute her, she salutes Jodha.
Maham says to Jalal that I don’t want anything, I couldn’t sleep from someday, I want to sleep peacefully now, can you please put your hand on my head and sing lullaby for me which I used to sing for you in childhood? Jalal puts his hand and recalls in his childhood how Maham used to sing lullaby for him, he hugs Maham and starts singing lullaby with heavy heart and choked voice, Maham sings with him and suddenly loses her breath, she dies. Jalal shouts Mother and cries, all cries for her, Jalal hugs Maham tightly and cries profusely.
The Doctor tells Jodha and Hamida that Javeda is truly becoming a mother, Hamida gets happy and says I wish Maham was here to listen to this news, I hope she is in peace.
A LEAP IN TIME
Four (4) months are gone. Voiceover says all are taking care of Jodha because they are worried for Jalal’s children because of the curse of Maham Anga, as the time must have passed, but the curse is still there, Jalal is seen taking care of Jodha. Voiceover says in these months, Ruqaiya has become a very good friend of Jodha, she is taking care of Jodha and is spending much than she could have even spent on herself, she takes care of Jodha well, Voiceover says today, Ruqaiya is taking Jodha to a very good Doctor, but it is away from Agra.
Jodha and Ruqaiya sit in the Palanquin, Ruqaiya ask Jodha is she fine? Jodha says no and my problem is you, because you take so much care of me, Ruqaiya says who said that I am taking care of you? I am taking care of the children, Ruqaiya says I am given your responsibility by Jalal, he wasn’t allowing me to take you out, I had to insist.
Jalal is practicing sword fighting, he is practicing in full energy, one Soldier is observing Jalal very closely, Jalal ask the Soldiers to come in group for his practice, the Soldier says I won’t come in group, as I am not common, Jalal says you are so proud of your power? The Soldier says no, I believe in my power, test me. Jalal asks the Soldier to come and fight with him, they both start fighting one on one, Jalal takes charge in fight and makes the Soldier fall on ground, the Soldier’s sword is thrown away.
The Soldier says to Jalal that you are a King, so why hide behind your weapon? Jalal says I don’t kill person who is empty handed, Jalal throws his sword away too, they start fighting with hands, Jalal gets hold of the Soldier and grabs him, after the fight, Jalal praises the Soldier and ask for his name? The Soldier says I am a Rajvanshi, Jalal says then why do you work for a Mughal King? Don’t your brothers taunt you for working as a Soldier for a Mughal? The Soldier says you are a Mughal King, but you are obedient to your people, you work for their betterment and you’re not biased with any Rajvanshi, you treat the whole nation as one, so we Rajvanshi feel proud to work for a King like you.
Jalal says like you are a good Warrior, you have nice thoughts like your power, he says I need Soldiers like you, he ask Maan to send this Soldier to a state where riots have started, Jalal says to the Soldier that I used to hate Rajvanshies, but now, I think that I have relations with Rajvanshies for life.
Todar and Jalal are discussing about corruption, Todar says we can’t eliminate it, as it’s being distributed from upper level to lower level, all Ministers and Shop keepers are involved in raising the price of goods, they are taking much money from common men.
Jalal says I have to solve this matter before I get busy with Jodha, Todar says we have to go to the market to see to things with our own, Jalal agrees.
Jodha’s Dadi (Grandma) is looking at the sky which is all dark and cloudy, Bharmal comes and asks what are you thinking of? Dadi says I don’t know, look at the sky, it is showing that darkness is coming into our life, I am worried for Jodha, she is being cursed, I am tensed for her safety, Bharmal says you don’t worry, only good happens to good people, Jodha is fine, Dadi says no, I am not feeling comfortable and only Shaguni bai can solve my problem.
The Doctor checks Jodha, Ruqaiya asks the Doctor is Jodha all fine? Ruqaiya gets restless, the Doctor says she is absolutely fine. Jodha jokes that the Doctor gives some medicine to Ruqaiya that she stops taking tension because of me, the Doctor says to Jodha that be happy from the heart, do what you want and do, not for what you don’t want. The Doctor gives one medicine to Ruqaiya and ask her to give this to Jodha daily, Ruqaiya asks to estimate when the children will be born? The Doctor says I can only predict that in one month, the children will be born.
Jalal and Todar comes to the market in disguise to see the high prices to things, Jalal asks one shopkeeper why is he taking more money than defined money from the King? The Shop keeper says we take our commission, you should thank God that Adham is not alive otherwise, things would have been trice the price now. Jalal ask did he gave much problem to you all? The Shopkeeper says yes, you know, one Shopkeeper denied to follow his order, so Adham kidnapped his daughter, then the Shopkeeper had to later give money to Adham, and Adham did give his daughter back to him, but now, the daughter can’t even utter a word, I don’t know what Adham did to her. Jalal is distraught. Suddenly the winds start blowing heavily, thunder comes, it’s raining heavily.
It’s raining heavily, Jodha and Ruqaiya are going in Palanquins from the Jungle. Ruqaiya asks Jodha is she fine? Jodha says don’t worry, I am fine, Ruqaiya says the Palace is going to come soon, be calm.
Jalal and Todar comes into one shop to take shelter from the thunder, Jalal says I am worried for Jodha, Todar says don’t worry, they haven’t gone that far, they would have come back by now. They see one man drunk and tying a knot around his neck to commit suicide, the man says to others that I am tired of all this, that person have made my life hell, I am not able to do anything, as he destroyed my life! Jalal comes and ask the drunk man who destroyed his life? The man says King Jalal, Jalal is stunned.
Dadi (Jodha’s Grandma) comes to Shaguni bai, Shaguni says wow Amer’s queen has come, Dadi says I came here not as a Queen, but as Dadi of Jodha, I am worried for her.
On the other side, Jodha’s palanquin is unbalancing in thunder.
Shaguni bai says to Dadi that I knew that you will come to me, Dadi says when you know everything, then tell me the way to come out of Maham’s curse? Shaguni says there is no way to come out of Maham’s curse. Shaguni bai says to Jodha’s Dadi that what has written in fate, it will happen, nor me, neither can Jodha stop it, this curse will show its effect, nobody can stop which has to happen.
On the otherside, Jodha’s palanquin is going through difficult way, suddenly because of strong winds, the palanquin gets tilted, Jodha falls out of the palanquin and she’s thrown in the Jungle, she is hurt. Ruqaiya shout for her.
Dadi prays to Kali Maata to save Jodha from problems.
Jalal is in shop, the drunk man (Birbal) ask Jalal is he King Jalal that he got worried listening to the name of King Jalal? Jalal ask why? The man ask are you King Jalal? Our king is a lion outside, but he lives like a coward in the Palace, he has many wives and no wife can go out without his permission, he rules on his Wife, he says to Jalal that you don’t know me, I am a special person of Jalal.
The Soldiers comes there and says this person is spreading wrong things about Jalal, we will take him, Birbal says Jalal doent let me live and now, he’s not even allowing me to die, this is wrong, Jalal’s Soldiers takes Birbal from there.
In the storm, Jodha gets hurt and starts feeling labour pain, Ruqaiya holds her and says nothing will happen to you.
On the other side, Shaguni bai says to Dadi, that they in this dark night, something is going to happen and we can’t do anything about it, we can just see what fate is doing.
Ruqaiya asks the Soldiers to bring another palanquin, Jodha is in much pain. Ruqaiya makes her sit in another palanquin, the soldiers runs with it, Jodha says it’s not good in this dark night and storm, Ruqaiya says we can’t do anything, we have to go to the Palace, Jodha is screaming in pain, Ruqaiya asks the soldiers to stop and set a big palanquin for Jodha, Jodha says to Ruqaiya that I am feeling much pain, Ruqaiya says no, you are srtong, you can’t become weak, think about our children, just be awake. Ruqaiya finds blood coming out of Jodha and she’s shocked.
Shaguni is praying to Kali maata, Dadi ask what did you find? Shaguni says there is no way to be saved, Maham’s curse will happen. Jai kali song plays…
Jodha says to Ruqaiya that I can’t bear the pain now, do something, Ruqaiya asks the Soldiers to distribute and find some help, Moti says to Ruqaiya that the time has come, we have to do the delivery, Ruqaiya says but one month is left, Moti says by slipping off from the palanquin, the water line has burst.
Birbal is taken to Court, he looks at the Court with wide open mouth. Jalal comes in Court.
