Jalal comes to Hamida, she smiles and says happy to see you, she says I was making sweater but I couldn’t, Jalal says then leave it, she says your grandma used to do it, so I am taking it forward, she ask why are you stressed? He says why are women so complicated, if you believe in someone, then isn’t it his responsibility to keep that believe intact? she says yes it’s his duty. Jalal says if he doesn’t do that, then?
Hamida says belief is a very delicate thing, sometimes, you are bound to not tell things, but you have to believe that if that man respects you, then he will tell you, you have to give something to take something back, you have to believe to get it in return, she ask about whom you are talking about? He says someone who I thought to be very close with, I have no option than to wait then.
Moti comes there and tells them that Jodha had called you to the hall. Hamida thinks who could Jalal be talking about, as he’s close to Ruqaiya, Salima and Jodha.
All Queens comes to the hall, they think why she called us all here? Ruksaar ask Jodha why you seem worried today? Jodha says I am going to announce something today.
Jalal comes there, Jodha thanks him for coming, he says what else you want to change in the Harem? She says I changed what I thought was wrong, but I still think that Ruqaiya deserves this harem, so I am leaving my position.
Ruqaiya says to Maham that I said she will not be able to manage it foe many days. All the Queens ask Jodha why are you doing this? Jodha says she is best for this Harem, so I am quitting, Ruqaiya says stop! I took your name in voting, and many lives are involved with this Harem, if I had to take back the duty, then why did I take your name, there are many Queens here who wants to see you working, so you do it!
Jodha says I have some personal problems, Jalal says we all have problems, but that doesn’t mean you can sabotage your position, you can’t waste everyone’s time, anyways, if you have decided, then I am accepting your resignation, I told you Ruqaiya was best for this Harem.
Jalal accepts Jodha’s resignation saying in disgust that he always maintained that Ruqaiya was always better equipped to deal with the Harem, but if Ruqaiya is re-instated, no one will complain in the future!!
Ruqaiya refuses saying that she wants to be free of Harem woes, so Jodha should accept it. Jalal sweetens his tone and Ruqaiya falls for it. Jalal announces Ruqaiya to be the one in charge of the Harem. He hands over the Pandora’s box officially. Ruqaiya thanks him. Ruqaiya looks in triumph at Maham Anga who smiles… Jalal leaves.
Maham Anga congratulates Ruqaiya. Ruqaiya smiles in victory saying that she always said Jalal as well as the Harem/Women Quarters will be hers, see, now she had beaten Jodha.
Hameeda is sad and wonders why Jodha did it?
Ruqaiya taunts Jodha and says she won’t take revenge and Jodha can approach her with any problem. Jodha is silent. Jodha is leaving the meeting, Salima says she is right, if she is happy with this, then why does she appear so sad? Jodha says it’s nothing. Salima thinks something other than the women quarters is worrying Jodha.
Adham Khan is being praised by Pir Muhammad for victory in Malwa against Kunwar MP. Adham is angry at his condescension, he is outside when his minion talks against Pir Muhammad. Adham Khan says he is biding his time. Pir Muhammad arrives there. Adham Khan invites him for Shikar. Pir Muhammad agrees to go for hunting the next day.
Adham Khan says that yes, they will go out on a hunt, but he will be the one doing the hunting, but that too, not of animals!
Jalal is in a mehfil where there is music, he is reminiscing about Jodha’s clandestine (secret) meetings. Jalal is thinking that he knows Jodha is trustworthy, but why does he feel so angry with her? Jodha arrives saying she wants to talk to him. Jalal rues the fact that he was getting into the mood. Jodha sits. Jalal says he didn’t ask her to sit!! Jodha is startled and rises, Jal says he’s just joking.
Jodha wonders why he didn’t ask about her decision to quit the Harem Job? Jalal says when does she ever listens to him?
Jodha tries to explain herself, but Jalal says she is an expert in lying, Jodha wants to know why he thinks so? Jalal says she always does her mind. Jalal leaves in disappointment and Jodha stays behind looking after him.
Adham and his soldiers meet another spy in the night. Adham Khan gives him the job of killing Pir Muhammad during the hunt.
Jalal is disturbed in his quarters, he is disappointed that Jodha, who he thought was the answer to his loneliness is hiding things from him, he tries to find comfort in the fact that a KIng is always lonely.
Maham Anga comes to Jalal, she says she won’t ask him what is worrying him, as she knows what it is, she tries to know whether he tried asking Jodha. She says she knows Jodha is innocent, but a wife should not hide things from her husband. Jalal says he has doubted her before and he was wrong, so he won’t make the same mistake again. Maham Anga again sweet talks him.
Jalal wonders if the man was Sujamal? Maham Anga says if it was Sujamak, then Jodha is being a traitor, also, the spy already said Sujumal is no more in Agra. Jalal tries to convince her and himself. Maham Anga expertly steers him towards doubting Jodha without actually showing her hand, Jalal is left thinking. Maham Anga in triumph thinks the seeds of doubt have been successfully planted, she leaves.
Jalal thinks why is Jodha hiding things from him? He goes to Jodha’s room, Moti informs him that Jodha isn’t there. Jalal says he knows where she is and instructs Moti to not inform Jodha that he was here. Jalal walks out of Jodha’s room again thinking about Jodha’s actions, is she perhaps in danger and does she not trust him?
Jodha makes Rahim sleep, Salima says he seems like your Son, Jodha says that’s why he calls me mother. Jalal comes there, Rahim murmurs what happened to the Emperor then in the story? Salima says I will take him to the room.
Jalal comes to Jodha and says you must have gone to the temple, Jodha says no, I didn’t go because I was making Rahim sleep, Jalal ask what story were you telling him? Jodha says yes, it was about you, how great of a warior you are, and how one must be accurate in doing things, he asked who is the Emperor? Jodha says I told him that he is the well wisher of the people, Jalal says you didn’t tell him about his wife being the rule setter, she came and changed the rule, Jodha says it was because of your support.
Jalal says but when the wife goes away from him, when she’s not with him, when she lies to him, then the Emperor is left alone, he doesn’t think about anyone and does what he thinks is right, he becomes like a lonely tiger to whom nobody can reach out to. Jodha says but I didn’t lie to you. Jalal leaves from there, Jodha thinks why is he going away from me?
Adham Khan is with the Minister in the jungle, the Minister says you did good arrangements, some soldier says we should disperse in two groups as hunting probability will be high then, he says good idea, Adham says I will be with the Minister and the soldiers, so they go in the opposite direction, the attacker is sitting on tree, Adham says I think there is a deer in this direction, he says take only your knife.
Some soldiers attack both Adham and the Minister, Adham says they must be Baaj Bahudur’s soldiers, Adham says to the Minister to go from here, he sends the soldier behind him.
Ruqaiya comes to Bakshi, Hamida is already there, Hamida says please set one servant for Bakshi, Ruqaiya says Jodha did a stupid thing by freeing the Servants! Hamida says no, it was a great act, now whoever will work here will do it by her heart. Ruqaiya says it was right, but she should have appointed new Servants before freeing the Slave Servants.
The Minister is going, he comes to a river, Adham’s soldiers grab him and puts him in the water, Adham comes there, the Minister ask for his help, Adham comes into the water and says your order, he holds him by neck and keeps dipping him in the water, he kills him. Some Soldier of the Minister grabs Adham’s Soldier.
Adham comes there and thinks if he opens his mouth, then I will be in danger, he kills his soldier, the soldier says the Minister is dead.
In the market, Sujamal is going, some soldier are recruiting for Harem’s new servants, they say we are taking this job on own free will.
Jalal calls everyone in Court to decide about Mazhar’s case, Mazhar comes there, Jalal says I told you that I am giving you one month to decide, Mazhar says I do now, he says I have decided that now, I will not marry Aziza, Jalal says it’s not a joke, Mazhar says she is not with me, Jalal says you said that you love her. Mazhar says love stands between believe and the truth, she hides many things from which I should have known, she goes to meet someone, she was about to marry him before me, and in these days, she kept meeting him.
Jalal remembers Jodha going to the temple, and meeting a man, also lying to him. Mazhar says if she really loves me, then why would she lie to me? tell me what should I do? He says I did a mistake leaving my old friend Ruksana, maybe this is my punishment.
Maham thinks wow, God this case came just at the right time! Jalal says to Aziza that you did wrong with him, you broke his trust, she says I still love him, I hide things from him because I thought he will be angry with me, I was afraid, but I dont have crap in my heart. Jalal says even then, I will say you did wrong by breaking his trust, Jalal says that lie is your biggest mistake, I can’t give you punishment because you are already bearing it, as your lover is against you today!
Jalal says my decision is that Mazhar can marry anyone he wants!! Jodha is stunned. Ruqaiya says to Jodha that I said to you that childhood friendship is great then this temporary love, now you are losing every thing!
