Voiceover- Jalal and Jodha both are poles apart… Their limits are different, their way of being raised are different, their love is different, but now, their way is colliding with each other, once again, they were about to meet each other, but both were unaware that even afar, they have gotten very close to each other.
Akbar and Ruqayia(She is changed) were on hunting in Madhrum and Jodha for her brothers’ long life were there to celebrate Yamdudh festival. Both are seen with their respective Palanquin. Jodha stops her palanquin and all ask what happened and she says she wants to shop from this market and they all laugh. They allow her. She is in the market.
Ruqayia with Hoshiyar is also there and they crosses each other. Jodha sees one scarf and ask for the rate. She tells them it’s at a high rate, so they leave it, but the shop keeper says if the Mughal queens were in her place, they would have bought it without asking for the rate and it only suits them. Jodha comes back and gives him double rate and Jodha makes moti wear the scalf and says it suit her more than the Mughals. She says to the Shop keeper that the Rajputani aren’t less. Ruqayia who has somehow witnessed this ask who she was to make fun of Mughals’ and the Shopkeeper says Rajputani.
Moti falls on the ground and Jodha laughs seeing her looking dirty as well as the scalf and says she will be back in a minute. She goes towards the Jungle where she sees queen(Ruqayia) ready to hunt a dear and she is shocked to see Jalal is behind her and their background song plays as they are close… Ruqayia says she will hunt him today and Jalal says to concentrate. She ask Jalal why he was reluctant when she was ready to kill the dear and asks if he has a heart and Jalal denies it and says he had fought many wars and killed many. Jodha burns the fire and the deer runs away from there before getting killed by Ruqayia. Both Jalal and Ruqayia are stunned.
Jodha is walking in the Jungle and Jalal is behind her. She feels someone’s presence so she looks here & there. Jalal is also looking here and there but both couldn’t see each other… Jalal and Jodha are taking rounds around the tree but couldn’t see each other. Jalal turns back to leave and Jodha sees his back. She starts running from there and Jalal looks back sensing someone and sees Jodha running but couldn’t see her face, he smiles to himself seeing someone saved that poor deer.
Jalal comes to Ruqayia (a new face) and says someone burned the fire and the deer ran away due to that. Ruqayia ask who she was and Jalal says he couldn’t see her face. Ruqayia says how dare she…! but Jalal says she wanted to save the deer and succeeded at it. Ruqayia burns in anger. But Jalal smiles as if he also wanted to save that deer.
Jodha and all her brothers do the prayer and the Priest says they can go for yatra (tying of the sacred thread on the brothers hand).
The Mughal soldiers comes there and says they have to pay tax if they want to go on yatra and all the men starts paying it. Jodha is stunned and ask Moti what’s happening here? The Soldiers comes to the Rajputs and says they can’t go on tirth yatra(hindu pilgramage). They ask why, and the soldier says they have to pay tax first. Jodha fumes and ask what’s this rule and who made it? Suddenly, a voice comes in, saying it’s Mughal’s rule and the voice is none other than Ruqayia. She stands infront of Jodha and introduces herself as India’s queen. Moti says she is Amer’s queen, Jodha, but Ruqayia says she can’t be upper than an India’s queen. She ask doesn’t she has the manners to bow down infront of the queen? Jodha says her soldiers dont know the manners, they behave like this with hindu yatris and asks if they take tax when her people go on hajj(muslim pilgrimage) Ruqayiya says they are the rulers of this place so no need to pay tax. Jodha says this place belongs to everyone and everyone has the right to it. Ruqayia says she shouldn’t teach philosophy, as this place belongs to the one who wins it; sky to the one who places his flag on it; and the rule belongs to the government. Jodha says the government is done from the heart not with swords. Ruqayia says she should do this and pay the tax for all her people here with her now. Jodha gives her precious necklace to her. Ruqayia says she won’t take anymore tax this year due to this necklace. She leaves.
Voiceover- Bairam’s deceitfulness against Jalal spread like fire in the Jungle. Everyone thinks that Jalal is only Bairam’s puppet, so now, Jalal has to prove to them that he is really competent without Bairam. Here, the Rajputs and Suryabaan get this news and he says Jalal is weak now and they can take advantage of this situation. They see them all enjoying to Jalal’s situation.
Jalal is tensed and Maham Anga instigates him the more that Bairam betrayed him and he crossed alll Mughals limits and he needs punishment! Flashback is shown where Jalal is crying over his father’s death and Bairam supported him and says Kings do not cry and he will make him a great warrior and made him wear his crown. Fb Ends.
Jalal is ready in warriors outfit and Hameeda bano (Empress, also Jalal’s mother) comes. Hameeda bano talks in favor of Bairam Khan and says he made him the king. She ask for answer from Maham Anga (Jalal’s foster mother) and she says he (Bairam Khan) only did that to get the throne. Jalal in warrior’s outfit is in rage and fuming. Maham Anga says she agrees that Bairam Khan raised Jalal and made him strong and made him King as well, but he wanted the throne and Bairam is asking for repay of his favours and says the repayment is too much.
Ruqayia comes and Jalal says you three are most important to him, but both Moms do not agree with each other, so Ruqayia should tell him whom to listen to? Ruqayia says she agrees with Maham Anga and that he is firstly King, then Son. Bairam khan has betrayed him, so think of him as deceitful and not a father-like figure. He is a warrior first, then Jalal. She knows Jalal wins every war. Now, Jalal is convinced and says he will not meet Uncle Khan, but they will see him in the war field. He leaves. Ruqayia comes to Maham Anga and says she did her a favour today and will ask for repayment when the right time comes! Maham Anga ask why the sudden gratefulness? She says Jalal will remain weak as long as Bairam is there, as he won’t give him the full power he deserves, and Jalal won’t be the King but mere puppet and she wants Jalal, the King with the full power.
Jalal on his horse with his soldiers comes face to face with Bairam Khan who has open arms and bows down the head. Jalal comes to him and Bairam says he did a mistake by going against him and this palace is everything to him. He ask to cut his head and sits down. Jalal sits with him and says he can’t cut his head and Jalal says he has three options.
1. To control certain states in india.
2. To remain his right hand and guider.
3. He didn’t say.
Bairam says he doesn’t love the throne, so he doesn’t want any state and now, Jalal has full power and has become the King, so he doesn’t need any guidance or right hand person. He just wants to ask to allow him to go to Makkah sharif. Jalal emotionally ask what he is saying, as he can’t allow him to go away from him, but Bairam ask can’t he grant him his last wish, as he just wants this last thing from him. Jalal has no other option but to agree to his demand. Both are teary eyed. And hug each other affectionately.
It is shown that Bairam Khan has left everything behind and he’s leaving for Makkah and bids adieu to everyone. Jalal comes and says he gave him this sword, but today, He is giving him this same sword back for safety, but Uncle Khan says he needs it more for India’s safety is in his hand. Jalal ask to stay back, not to leave him, but he says this is his last wish and he prays that he (Jalal) become the best King in the history and operate the government with full power. He leaves and Jalal is teary eyed. Maham Anga smiles victorously.
In Amer, everybody is choosing Jewellery for Jodha and her sister teases her that after the ceremony, Suryabaan will not be able to see Jodha. Grandmother says she will leave them alone ans Jodha becomes emotional and leaves. Her mother comes to the crying Jodha and makes her sit and says she will welcome her new life like this. She says she is not going anywhere. Jodha emotionally says to her Mom that why is it so, that to go to in-law’s house, the girl has to leave her parent’s place? She says to get the love of her husband, the girl has to leave her parent’s affection behind. She asks why this? Her Mother says every girl ask this question before marriage but this is the irony that God gift daughters which is a blessing in disguise, but she leaves everyone devastated. Do you know how much concerned she is, but now, Suryabaan is there for her, so she’s more relaxed. One has to have ship to reach beach bank point and she’s close to it, so she will get much love there, that she will forget them and they will be waiting for her letter. But Jodha says she should leave the letter, as she herself, will come to them.
Sukanya (Jodha’s Sister) comes and says you both are crying, while she’s very happy as now, no one will snatch anything away from her… the whole jewellery dresses will be for her and she becomes emotional and says she is very happy that she’s going now, as she will rule here and will get everything, but cries and hugs her. Jodha wipes her tears.
Voiceover – someone said it right that you know the worth of something after losing it. Jalal is tensed about who will take the place of Bairam Khan? Someone says that Amer kings came to know about Bairam’s leave and they are planning against them, but Jalal says his realm is not weak. Here, Maham Anga is concerned about who the next Commander will be, as she wants it badly. She try to lure the upper body of the government that she is on their side, so they should make her the Commander.
Now Adham Khan and Maham Anga is infront of Jalal and they all suggest the name of Shamshuddin and they both fume. But Maham Anga interrupts when she is about to say something and someone interrupts and says that women can’t talk in between government discussions, but Jalal interrupts and says she is his mother and can talk. She says that Shamshuddin is the finance minister and if he becomes the Commander, then it will be difficult for him to handle things, as he won’t be able to save the boundaries. So Jalal says that she is great and thinks jusr like Uncle Khan, so why doesn’t she become the new minister? Everyone is stunned to hear that.
