Poonam reveals to Sumeet the incident surrounding Anand’s death and why she kept it a secret. She explains that Anand made her promise not to reveal the truth to Shlok until he was strong enough to handle it, as Shlok had nearly lost his mental state when they saw Anand in critical condition.
Poonam reveals that Anand passed away on Janmashtami. Ashok and Poonam confess to lying to the family, with Ashok even sending letters and making phone calls, pretending to be his brother Anand to keep the truth hidden.
Shlok wears his father’s T-shirt and remembers a childhood incident where their father broke a pot for them. Sumeet asks if Shagun knows the truth. Shagun tells Raunak that she plans to reveal the truth to push Shlok into depression and disrupt his mental state. Shagun’s hired goons try to provoke Shlok by using his father’s name. Shlok loses his temper and gets into a fight with them, eventually falling unconscious. Sumeet and Poonam rush to Shlok’s side.
Sumeet, Ashok, Poonam and the Doctor in Shlok’s room. The doctor informs everyone that Shlok is dealing with a lot of mental stress and should not be exposed to any more trauma. Ashok asks Rajiv to get medicine. Poonam is worried and tells Sumeet that Shlok won’t be able to handle the news of Anand’s death, he can’t hear a word against him.
Sumeet and Poonam with Shlok in his room. Shagun enters and pretends to sympathize with Shlok and asks Poonam what happened, I heard someone sarcastically say something about his father, is he fine now? Sumeet sees through her act and asks Why are you here? Shagun mocks Sumeet about one of her players falling ill and says she’ll win if Sumeet can’t participate, so Sumeet needs to get Shlok back on his feet.
starts singing “Laila Main Laila” on a microphone, leaving Raunak shocked and speechless. Shagun dances wildly, making everyone laugh. She pulls Sumeet to dance with her and pushes Raunak away when he tries to intervene.
Sumeet recalls the plan she discussed with Poonam, where a laddoo with rose petals would silence Raunak and one with foil would make Shagun intoxicated. She rewards the kids with chocolates for their help.
Shagun continues dancing, frustrating Raunak, who can’t do anything. Shlok becomes confused about what’s happening. Shagun calls Shlok, but Sumeet snatches the phone. She warns Shagun again, saying she’ll reveal the truth during Dahi Handi. Sumeet encourages Shlok, emphasizing the need to win the task and not give up. Sumeet is determined to defeat Shagun.
Poonam is in the Kitchen, picks up her husband’s photo and remembers her husband lying in a hospital bed, making her promise not to reveal the truth about his death to Shlok.
Sumeet empathizes with her pain. Poonam shares her concern about not being able to perform the Shradh puja by her Son for her husband. Sumeet suggests that even though Shlok can’t do the puja, just touching the puja plate could bring peace to his father’s soul, Dadi said if a person touches the platter he also becomes the part of puja.
Shlok’s mother worries that if Shlok sees the puja plate, he’ll understand it’s for a memorial. Sumeet reassures her that she’ll handle it.
