Soul talk – Jodha says I still remember that marriage anniversary, there was a time when I used to hate you and now my heart is filled with your love. Jalal’s soul says true, our relationship was made out of stubbornness, then became responsibility, then changed into love, our love was increasing day by day.
Jodha comes to Jalal and gives him sweet, Jalal and Jodha wishes each other Happy Anniversary, Jodha says before doing any good deed, we eat sweets, so made you eat it, Jalal says there are many bowls of sweets in the tray, which one to eat? Jodha says one bowl is cooked by me, you have to taste and tell which one I have made? Jalal says you are taking my exam even today? He starts tasting the bowls, then makes Jodha eat from the bowl which she made. Jodha ask you know it?
Jalal says when I sense your presence, when I feel your emotions, then how can’t I guess your cooked food? Jodha says I hope Salim and Mann Baisa’s relationship will be same like this, Jalal says it will be.
Jodha ask Jalal are you ready to gift me? Jalal says I am ready, what about you? Jodha says I will also gift you at the function, he says Happy Wedding Anniversary, she hugs and says same for you.
Mann Baisa says to Daniyal will Jalal and Jodha like our skit? Daniyal says why not, you have worked hard and when you will play Jodha, you will look like Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen) she says you act very well too, Daniyal smiles and thinks that I wish this drama becomes real, I should tell you what’s in my heart, Mann Baisa sees Mango on a tree and says Wow, I like Mango! Daniyal says I will bring it, she says no, you will get hurt, he jumps on the tree and plucks the Mango, he says your wish is my command, he falls from the tree, Mann shouts.
Murad says to Daniyal that you should be careful, now your foot is hurt, who will act in skit? All pleads to Salim to act as Jalal, Salim says I can’t do all this. They all request him, he says fine, I will do it, but nobody will laugh! They agree.
The Dancers with Anarkali is coming into the function in the Palace.
From other side, Mann Baisa is coming with her friends, they tease her with Salim’s name.
Anarkali finds Mann Baisa coming there, she hides, Mann Baisa ask who are they? Her friend says they are Dancers, they will perform in the function, Mann Baisa leaves without seeing Anarkali.
Jalal and Jodha come into the function, they sit on a royal sofa, all greets them, Haidar Khan fumes. Ruqaiya, Salima and all congratulate them on their Marriage Anniversary, Jodha is wearing Mariam-uz-Zamani’s (Ultimate Queen) royal crown.
First, the Muslim Priests comes and congratulate them, they pray for their blessful life, then Hindu Priests comes and prays for them as well, Hamida gifts Jalal a dagger which has stones engraved in it, Ruqaiya gifts him sword, then Aram Bano and Murad comes and says we are presenting a skit for Jalal and Jodha which will take them to the past, see how they met first.
Salim comes in, Jalal gets up, Murad says Jalal went to Amer and saw the most beautiful Princess Jodha. Mann Baisa comes there in Palanquin, Jalal recalls how he saw Jodha in the Palanquin, then Salim and Mann enacts scene in which Jodha gave conditions to Jalal for marriage that she will not change religion and will have temple in the Palace, Jalal and Jodha recalls that moment, how Jalal said that her conditions are big, but not that much that king of Hindustan can’t fulfill it, then Salim ans Mann Baisa enacts scene where Jalal and Jodha had sword fighting match, Jodha smiles seeing that scene, then Salim-Mann Baisa shows scene where Jodha asked Jalal to not wear shoes in Khana’s temple, ishq hai woh ehsas plays…
Anarkali is getting ready for the dance, the other Dancer says that your foot is bruised, she says in front of heart’s bruise.
Salim and Mann Baisa enacts romantic scene, they are sharing an eyelock when Salim starts imagining Anarkali, he comes closer to Mann Baisa, caresses her face, Rabba is pyar mein plays… Salim brings Mann Baisa closer thinking she is Anarkali.
Ruqaiya says after sometime, Salim will see Anarkali, then we will see his reaction, Haidar Khan says soon Salim, you will see your love as Dancer in front of you, that is my gift to you, what your father did to me, you will have to pay for this! Ruqaiya thinks now is time for twist in this night!
Murad says this was the story of Jalal and Jodha, Jalal who didn’t have a heart was given a heart by the Rajvanshi Queen Jodha.
Jalal says Salim you enacted it very well, Jodha says Mann Baisa, you were imitating me? She laughs and says you did very well.
Aram Bano says now, it’s time for Jalal to give gift to Jodha, Jodha ask Jalal are you ready? He smiles and says to people that my Wife has asked me the gift to sing for her.
Tansen plays instrument, Jalal starts singing;
Meri dadhkan tum ho, mera dono jahan ab tum ho, mera Allah Ishvar tum ho… tum ho tum Ho Zindagani…
Jodha blushes and recalls her love moments with Jalal, she gets into tears.
Jalal sings;
Dil ko dadhkana tum ne sikahaya, mohabbat kia hoti hai tumne bataya, mei to pathar tha tumhari ankhoon ne Insaan banaya, tumhi kahani ho tumhi fasana…
Jodha smiles and has tears. All praises Jalal. Ruqaiya says really, it was nice.
Jalal ask Jodha did you like it? Jodha says you touched my heart, it was the most beautiful gift, i have to agree that what you decide, you do it, Jalal says now your turn, Jodha gets up, she says With Allah’s name, today, I Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen) Jodha, will speak something in praise of Propeht Muhammad (P.b.u.h).
All get up from their seats. She says;
He was a great Prophet of Islam, last messenger, MUHAMMAD’S meaning is that who praises than all others, he was born to Abdullah and Amna, he peached Islam and taught people about peace, today, I want to pray for Jalal, for my Mughal family and for everyone’s life.
Jalal says Wow, you went ahead of me today even I will remember this gift my whole life, Hamida says now we should meet people who are waiting to see the King and Queen.
Anarkali is wearing ghungroos (Musical Ankleys) she says that I never liked it and now fate is tying them on my feet.
The Dancers come into the function, Anarkali dance in veil, all like her dance, she takes off her veil, Salim is shocked. Mann Baisa, Murad, Jodha are stunned, Jodha recalls how she met her in the Mosque and thinks what is she doing here? Mann Baisa thinks what is Anarkali doing here as a Dancer?
Murad ask Salim how she became a Dancer? Salim says this is her real face, she is a Dancer.
Jodha says to Jalal that she looks so innocent even being a Dancer.
Anarkali continues her dance, her foot starts bleeding, after dance, all cheer for her.
Jalal says you have great talent, Jalal gifts her coins, Salim gets angry, Jalal says I give you title of Royal Dancer, Anarkali thanks him, Jalal says Prayer is most important in life, if you are happy with the title, then pray for Jodha, I noticed that your foot was injured, but you didn’t budge and kept dancing, same like a Warrior in battlefield who doesn’t run away even when he gets injured, you have passion for dance which is great.
Jalal says this day is special, one announcement is left, Jalal says Amer and I have strong relations, it’s time to make one more relations with Amer, I want Mann Baisa to marry Salim. Salim, Anarkali are shocked, all congratulate him. Jalal says soon, this relations will become final.
Jalal ask Anarkali to prepare dance performance for that time, Anarkali nods.
Ruqaiya thinks that Jalal played a lot of chess games with me, but you don’t know that in relationship games, I am the real Queen not Jodha!
Salim gets up from there and leaves, Ruqaiya smirks.
The Dancers says what a great function it was, one Dancer finds Haidar Khan there and recalls how she brought him to a room and tried to be romantic with him, she tells the other Dancer that he is same guy who came to their place earlier.
Haidar Khan ask her to come into his room, she says why not? Haidar brings her into the room and ask what were you telling the other Dancer? I don’t like what you were saying, he pulls her hairs and says now, I will close your mouth, he stitches her mouth with needle and thread, he says it would have been problem if you had opened your mouth, usually, people kill persons like you, but I like different punishment, you will always remember that you should not open your mouth! Haidar Khan says I like your talent, he gives her gold coins, he ask her to leave! She takes the coins and runs, Haidar Khan laughs.
Salim comes inro his room and says how can they decide my marriage without even asking me, they didnt think to ask me before announcing it?
Jodha comes to Salim and ask why did you leave the function like this? It’s not good. Salim says what is good and what’s not??? You know that, but who gave you the right to decide for my life without asking me?? You announced my engagement with Mann Baisa, Why? Jodha says what are you saying? We wanted to gift you, you told Jalal that you like Mann Baisa, so we announced this, Salim says when did I say that? Jodha says you told Jalal that you like a girl who wore jewelry which had peacock feather on it.
Salim recalls how Mann was wearing same jewelry like Anarkali, Jodha ask was it not Mann Baisa whom you liked? Tell me. Salim says I am not ready for this marriage, I want time, he leaves. Jodha says what happened to him? Was it not Mann Baisa whom he liked?
Anarkali brings coins to Zil Bahar and says that I have brought money, now we will do Rashid’s treatment, I will bring medicines, Zil Bahar starts crying, Anarkali ask what happened? She comes to Rashid and finds him dead, she ask Rashid to get up, she says I have brought money for you, please open your eyes! Zil Bahar says your father will not get up now, Anarkali says take us too, we can’t live without you father, she cries.
Maan Singh says to Jalal that now, War is the only way, they are not replying to your letters, they don’t want to solve the matter. Jalal says Mirza is taking advantage of my love, Birbal says we can arrest him, then can talk to him, Jalal says I will go myself and will try to talk to him, prepare for my journey.
People says to Zil Bahar and Rashid that it was good that this betrayer Rashid dies! Zil Bahar says he should get a grave. The People says he doesn’t deserve it! They leave from there, Zil Bahar and Anarkali cries, Zil Bahar says who will bury your father? Who will give his dead body shoulder? Anarkali says he has a daughter of course? Anarkali says he always gave his shoulder to me, so why can’t I give my shoulder to his deadbody?
Two people comes in Agra, they look suspicious.
Jalal comes to Jodha and says I have to go somewhere, Jodha ask Jalal where are you going? Jalal says there some important work which I have to finish, I have asked Bhagwan das to postpone the engagement till I come back, Jodha ask anyone else can go, so why you? Jalal says I would have sent someone else, but I have to go it’s important. Jodha says I will do your aarti then, she does his aarti.
Jalal thinks that I will not punish Mirza, but will talk to him, but I can’t tell you Jodha, Jalal leaves.
Jodha thinks it’s also fine that this engagement got postponed, now, I will try to find what’s in Salim’s heart.
Jodha thinks why was Salim not happy with marriage talk? Hamida says that Salim promised me in childhood that he would marry but now, marrying someone else? All laughs, Hamida ask Ruqaiya and Jodha to choose necklaces as gift for Salim’s marriage, Ruqaiya likes a necklace, Hamida says I had chosen this for Jodha, Ruqaiya fumes, but doesn’t show it.
Jodha says no problem, if Ruqaiya likes it, then let her take it, Ruqaiya says no, Mariam Makani (Queen Mother/Empress) have chose this for Mariam-uz-Zamani (Ultimate Queen) so you have the right on this, I will make you wear this Jodha, she makes Jodha sit and she’s about to make her wear the necklace, but deliberately breaks it, she says Oh no, this is broken, I don’t know, I will bring another one for you, Jodha says no, this is gift from Hamida, so I will take just this, I will repair it.
Ruqaiya says you may repair it, but how will you repair your relations with Salim, it won’t get repaired ever!
Hamida says Jalal will return soon from Kabul, then we will have the engagement ceremony, Jodha thinks I have to find the reason for Salim’s anger.
Murad says to Daniyal that food is in front of you and you are not eating it? Do you also want to get married? Daniyal is sad and says I am not in the mood to eat.
Mann Baisa comes there and calls Daniyal out, Daniyal goes to her, she says I wanted to know what’s in Salim’ heart, but couldn’t ask him, you tell me is he happy with this marriage? Daniyal says I don’t know, but he must be happy, as who would not marry a beautiful Princess like you? Mann Baisa ask why you are looking sad? She says I know how to set your mood right, I will make sweetdish for you, he says I am not hungry, she laughs, he puts hand on her mouth to stop her, he looks at her lovingly and removes his hand, she says if you are not hungry, then I am certain that you are in love, I am your prospective Sister-in-law, so you can tell me who is she?
Daniyal says I just want to tell you that Salim must be very happy with this relations, she says I have a lover and great friend with me, she says promise me that you will take me as your friend, then as your Sister-in-law, he promises, she leaves from there, he says Salim must be happy and how can I think about her? How can I love Mann Baisa?
Salim is in the Jungle, he recalls how Anarkali was dancing in the function, how Jalal announced his marriage with Mann Baisa. He finds some people there drinking wine, he sit with them, he ask what you guys are drinking? They say it is unhygienic wine, he ask Salim to drink too, Salim recalls Anarkali dancing as a Dancer, he drinks the wine, he recalls his marriage announcement.
One Man says you seem to have hurt in heart? Salim says when God have given heart, then he has given pain too, my pain is that whom I love the most is whom I hate the most and the one whom I don’t love is going to be my life partner, and the one whom I wanted as life partner, I do not want to see her face now! Salim says I should leave now, he is inebriated, and starts leaving the place. The same agent people comes there and looks at him and says that Jalal is not in the City, we have to finish our work fast!
Anarkali brings out her ghungroos (Musical Anklets), Zil Bahar stops her and says you won’t dance now, you danced because we wanted money for your father but now, he is no more, Anarkali says I will dance in guilt of his death now, Zil Bahar says Dancers are not considered as civilized people, Anarkali says Dancer is no less, it’s people’s perception who make a Dancer a dirty person, I have to change people’s perception who made my father a betrayer!
Zil Bahar ask what you want to do? Anarkali says I will please the King with my dance and will ask such a thing in return that will lessen my pain, I will dance in the King’s Son marriage, not to show my talent, but to show the world how this talent killed me! Zil Bahar says you loved Salim, you can’t dance in front of him, Anarkali says I will dance in front of Jalal, Salim has looted me with both his love and hatred, and now, I will show my hatred!
