Jalal gets up and waits for Jodha. As she comes out, he removes his bandage, hold his sword, and moves it in the air and smiles evilly. He leaves. Moti tells Jodha he pretended so that she could feed him the food with her bare hands. Jodha is distraught.
Two men are talking about how Jalal married a Hindu princess. Hamida bano listens to this and recalls how Jalal was born in a Hindu’s house.
Ruqaiya also gets the news and thinks that it’s just another marriage of Jalal and Jodha is just a piece of playing. Some girl informs her that Jalal is coming and all rushes to prepare for his welcome while Ruqayia says he will come to her room first as always.
In Agra, Jodha and Jalal reaches and greets Hamida bano (the empress). Jodha touches her feet while Jalal is surprised but Hamida is happy and praises her beauty and makes her meet Bakshi (Jalal’s sister) who does the Ceremonial ritual called Washing of the bride’s feet for her.
The Hindu ladies sings song in praise of Jodha’s arrival as a bride. Jodha is overwhelmed and gets emotional and looks at Hamida bano. Hamida bano asks Maham Anga to make special arrangements for Jodha and tells that she will introduce the palace to Jodha herself. Maham Anga is reminded of the curse by the Hindu lady.
Hamida bano takes her to the harem and a small talk happens and tells her about all the ladies of the harem. Hamida bano asks why she’s not happy with the marriage? Jodha tells her that Jalal doesn’t have a heart and is cruel. Hamida bano tells her that she has only seen what Jalal lacks, not what he possess and hopefully, after her arrival, he will get back his lost heart.
There is a small fight between the ladies and Jodha gets to know that Ruqaiya is the BOSS of the harem.
Jodha’s maid tells her about Ruqaiya’s power and her importance in the harem.
Menewati at the goddess’ temple tells Shugani that she has lost, and asks her to tell her Jodha’s future. She says that Jodha’s future is bright, their prayers will be answered and she will earn lots of name and fame. Menewati is relieved to hear this.
Jodha asks for Moti and finds her sitting alone, she rushes to Moti and comes face to face with Ruqaiya. Both recall their first meeting. Ruqaiya comes to know that Jodha is the one who got married to Jalal. Ruqaiya asks Jodha to apologise and to pick up her necklace that falls down for her. Jodha gives her the necklace but doesn’t apologise. Ruqaiya-Jodha have their second verbal fight.
Someone calls Jodha to meet Maham Anga. Ruqayia asks Hoshiyar to keep on wearing the necklace, as she has to teach Jodha a lesson!
The Hindu girls/women are eager to meet the new bride, Jodha, but Maham Anga warns them to behave and they have to listen to just her (Maham Anga’s) decree/command and asks them to leave the place!
Maan Singh and Bhagwant Das are admiring the palace.
Adham Khan is furious to see that his enemy is being treated like guests! Adham Khan is introduced to the duo. Adham Khan belittles them and talks low of the Rajputs.
Jalal comes and greets them. Bhagwant Das says it looks like Adham Khan isn’t happy with their presence. Maan Singh tells Jalal everything Adham Khan had said to them. Jalal asks him (Adham Khan) to make arrangements for their nice stay!
Maham Anga is overlooking with anger as Jodha is adorning Krishna’s idol. She gets irritated with the bells and she’s about to leave when Hamida bano arrives and she’s surprised to see the idol.
Maham Anga tells Hamida bano about Jodha’s conditions. Hamida bano tells her that Jalal is like this, he can never hurt anyone and Jodha will soon come to know this about him. Maham Anga notices some clothes in Hamida bano’s hands, she tells that it is for Jodha. Maham Anga tells her how Jodha burnt the outfit that was given to her for the ceremony.
Hamida bano gifts her the clothes and Jodha is surprised to see that. Hamida bano (the empress/Jalal’s mother) tells her that she had made it specially, according to her taste and culture. Hameeda bano asks her to get ready for the grand function.
Jodha wonders and asks Moti, what is this function all about, and is it necessary for her to attend it?
A Purdah (“curtain” is a religious- Muslim system and social practice of female seclusion) in between Jodha and Jalal, both are getting married according to the Islamic customs. Jalal says Qubool Hai (“do you accept this marriage lock?”) and Jodha nods her head.
All the guests including Bhagwan Das and Maan Singh are all gathered in the assembly hall. Hamida Bano enters, followed by Jodha, who greets everyone with a Pranam (a respectful greeting made by putting one’s palms together and often touching the feet of the person greeted). Then Ruqayia arrives with her fleet of maids. It was then, Jodha realises that the lady she had verbal fight with, earlier in the day, was none other than, Ruqaiya, the queen. Moti is worried how Ruqaiya will take revenge on Jodha now. All the ladies hand over their gifts to Jodha.
Maham Anga comes and gives her a cold stare and some gifts. Ruqaiya comes and gives her the same necklace and tells her to wear it now! But Jodha deflects it very wisely.
Jalal finally arrives, he greets everyone and then takes his seat. They are asked to feed sweets to each other. Jodha takes a small bite, but Jalal holds her hand, gobbles the whole rasgulla (a sweet snack made with curdled milk) and looks at her intently and smirks.
Jalal is weighed and then tells that the gold should be distributed to the couple.
Song starts, and some people perform, welcoming the couple. Jalal is stealing glances at Jodha and looks at Ruqaiya too.
He goes to Ruqaiya and she fills his ears with Jodha’s attitude, and that she didn’t accept her gift, and what will people think about her behaviour towards Jalal? Jalal gets angry and says that the real show or entertainment will start now!
Everyone praise the dancers and Jalal says that Agra and Mughals are full of talented people. Jalal tells that his new queen, Jodha has got a very sweet voice and asks her to sing in front of everybody. Jodha is shocked, as is everyone else.
Jodha stands in the middle of the hall, and starts singing a song, praising the valour of Rajputs, all are shocked and then stand. Jalal is very angry. Maham Anga has disapproving looks. Ruqayia again instigate Jalal against Jodha, as she will cause the downfall of the pride of the Mughals soon.
Finally, after some moments, Jalal shouts, STOP!!! and tells that the function is over, and leaves the hall.
Ruqaiya is furious at Jodha. Maham Anga tells that she will join hands with her to bring down Jodha! Maham Agna fans Ruqaiya’s ego.
Maham Anga and Adham Khan talks about the pathetic condition Jodha is into and wait for the right time.
