Hakim is trying to save Jodha in the hall. Benazir says now, I will kill Ruqaiya, Jalal says I will save Jodha, you just leave Ruqaiya, I will let you go. Benazir says I am not interested in this deal, I don’t understand what Jodha has that she never get tired of trying, and today, she will be dead because of you. She ask to give her space otherwise, I will kill Ruqaiya as well.
Benazir goes out with Ruqaiya and ask Zakira to come, but Maham grabs Zakira by holding her neck and says you fooled us, Atgah says to Jalal that you go to Jodha, I will bring back Ruqaiya safely. Adham Khan thinks that Benazir should get killed otherwise, his truth will be out too. Jalal says Jodha and goes to her.
Jalal comes and ask why she didn’t hasn’t gained consciousness yet? Hakim says it’s a severe poison and if she was conscious, they could have taken it out by vomiting, Jalal sits by her side and caresses her head, he says this all happened because of Abul Mali, he shouts to behead Abul Mali!!
Benazir is riding horse with Ruqaiya on it too, Atgah and the Soldiers are following her and says to keep following her to save Ruqaiya. They are running behind her.
In jail, a soldier gets to know that Abul Mali ran away from jail, Jalal gets to know that, and he couldn’t hold his anger, he screams how he could run from here???? What were the soldiers doing?? He sent a poisonous lady, Jodha is fighting for her life, Ruqaiya is in danger and you are saying he ran away??? He with frustration in his eyes ask to punish the soldier who was on duty!! (Jalal was superb here, the anger in his eyes was spot on).
Benazir throws Ruqaiya down and says now, I can’t take your burden anymore, I will kill you! Ruqaiya plead to not. Benazir hides behind the bushes with Ruqaiya, Ruqaiya gets hold of a stone and attacks Benazir’s head with it, she frees herself from her cluthes and Atgah catches Benazir.
Jalal ask Hakim when she will become conscious? she says 8 hours are critical for her, Jalal looks at her with guilt in his eyes.
Ruqaiya orders Atgah to open the pit, she says I don’t want her to be alive. She holds Benazir, they open the well, Ruqaiya says Jalal is my everything and you tried to kill him, I will tell you now, she says you jumped in same well and 12 people were dead now, they will get peace. She ties her hands, legs and mouth and throws her inside the well. He ask Atgah to place a board here that Benazir is here, she ask him to make a new well.
In the Palace, Jalal is sitting by Jodha’s side, Hakima says I can’t say anything now. Maham is looking while still in shock. Jalal says Jodha is having high fever, same like when the tiger attacked me and his poison was getting into my nerves. Hakima says but it’s snake’s poison. Jalal says to do anything, she is here because of me, I should have listened to her, Hamida says you tried, but Benazir was clever.
Jalal says the mistake is mine that I trusted Benazir as I am the King, it’s my fault because I didn’t listen to her, but I don’t understand how Zakira didn’t get poisened. He goes out. He comes to the jail and grabs Zakira asking her to tell the truth! Zakira pleads to leave her. Jalal puts sword on her neck and ask how you got saved that day??
Zakira tells him about the anti poison medicine molded in shape of pearls, Zakira says the time is less, let’s go, they come with a box, Hakima says these are pearls, Jalal says it’s being mixed in water and are used as anti poison, Hakima says it could be true, but I can’t say much, Jalal says I don’t want to take risk and ask Zakira to drink it first, Zakira drinks the anti poison, Hakima says it’s suitable, she gives it to Jodha.
Jalal ask in how much time she will become conscious? Hakima says if these medicines are effective, then Jodha will be alright in 8 hours, Jalal says she has to get up, she can’t leave me in this guilt.
Ruqaiya comes back to the Palace and meets Jalal, he says thank God you are save. Jalal ask where is that characterless woman? Ruqaiya says at her right place.
Flashback is shown that Ruqaiya ties cloth in her hands and mouth and threw her in the well. FB ends.
Ruqaiya ask about Jodha, Jalal informs that we have given her the anti poison, but I hope for the best. He sits by her side and caresses her head and ask her to get up, he ask Hakima about her health? Hakima says I can’t say now.
Bakshi comes running and says I know Jalal that I am not allowed to come here, but I couldn’t stop myself, Jalal says I will be thankful if your prayers gets fulfilled.
Jodha chokes and blood comes out of her mouth, Jalal shouts at Hakima to do something, you know how to save people, she is dying I am sitting here! He leaves in frustration, Atgah goes behind him.
Ruqaiya says to Hakima that Jodha risked her life for Jalal so save her at any cost, demand any medicine you want, but save her, Hakima is tensed.
Jalal is walking in the garden and remembers Jodha’s words that I don’t hate you anymore because you trust me, he remembers how she held his hand when he went to her room drunk. Jalal ties cloth on his head and comes in Darbar, he remembers how he came here with Jodha and how she prayed like him, he is emotional and breaksdown. He cries miserably and prays. Outside, Atgah prays to end this dark night and give Jodha her life and Jalal peace.
Hakima informs Hamida that it’s very difficult to save her now, we have to take her to a special clinic, Hamida says is it possible to take her in this condition? Ruqaiya says to be strong, nothing will happen to her.
Jalal prays that you gave me more than I wanted, you gave me everything, made me a King but please don’t take without which I cant live, I will not be able to live. You are great, I’m bowing my head in front of you begging, India’s King is begging in front of the universe’s King to pardon Jodha’s life, it was my fault, I didn’t listen to her, punish me, but spare her. Please shower blessings on her, I will not be able to live without her, please do something. He gets up and ties sacred thread on the wall and gets a FB of how he tied it with Jodha, he is inconsolable.
Jalal comes near Jodha’s temple and imagines himself and Jodha taunting, he imagines Jodha stopping him and saying can’t you see I am praying? He tries to come inside, Jodha says you feel good taunting me, don’t you see I am busy and if you want to come inside, then take off your slippers first. Jalal says I am a King and I don’t need to take off my slippers for anyone.
In reality, he takes off the slippers and comes inside confused at his imagination. He imagines Jalal asking why you do prayer all the time? Jodha says you also offers namaz 5 times a day which means you keep asking from him? Did you thank him for what he has given you? Jalal says I like your counter attack question, Jodha says you questioned wrongly.
Jodha says I pray for my family and to get peace, Jalal says Peace? You must be joking as you got married to a person like me. Jodha says are you done with your taunting? Jalal says we have to go out, Jodha says I will come after lighting oil lamps, you go. Jalal’s imagination vanishes and Jodha disappears.
Jalal looks at the oil lamps, holds it and does the prayers, he remembers how he prayed in the temple with Jodha and folds his hands, he cries, Hamida sees him. He says to lord to accept my prayers and the prayer today is to bring her to consciousness, Hamida comes there. Jalal gets up and hugs her. She ask him to be strong, as everything will be fine, he leaves.
Voiceover says that everything was done to save Jodha but nothing worked, so the last thing was to provide her steam of fire.
We see Jodha tied on a plank and being put in a steam at the Clinic.
At Amer, Dadisa (Grandma) wakes up and shouts JODHA! She says something bad has happened with my Jodha, I have to meet her.
In Ruqaiya’s room, Hoshiyar sees tensed Ruqaiya and says why are you tensed for that Jodha? If she is dying, then let her die. Ruqaiya shouts HOSHIYAAR?? and gives him a tight slap.
Jalal comes to the clinic and sees what Jodha is going through, he ask Hakima about Jodha, Hakima says I am trying and in some time, we will know whether the medicines are working or not, but I think… Jalal ask what??? Hakima says I tried everything, gave her every medicine, but sometimes, prayers do wonders than medicine.
Jalal looks at Jodha and says to Atgah that I want to address the nation.
Jodha’s Dadi/Grandma comes to Shaguni bai and ask her to tell whether Jodha is alright or not? I am not getting good vibes. Shaguni says tonight, everything will change, this is a long and dark night, this night is tough for Jodha and seems someone will loose life. Dadi ask will Jodha be save? She says something will happen either with Jodha’s life or your bad vibes. Dadi prays to the lord to protect Jodha.
Jalal comes to the balcony and addresses the people in heavy voice that I know you all love me, so please pray for Jodha as she saved my life and needs yor prayers.
Everybody is praying for Jodha’s life in Agra. In her room, all the Queens are tensed for Jodha. Hakima says I tried a lot, but it seems like she does’nt want to live, seems like there is no reason for her to live which is why she isn’t fighting with the poison. Jalal says all should leave. Ruqaiya tries to say something, but Jalal says leave. She leaves.
Jalal holds Jodha’s hand and says to open her eyes. He imagines himself and Jodha in an isolated place and Jodha going away and he stopping her, but Jodha says to leave me. Jalal says no, Jodha says why, as you said that you will not even look at me when I am dying, so why are you stopping me? I did what was my duty, and I am happy that I saved your life, I fulfilled the promise that I gave to mother and now, I am going away. She turns to leave, but Jalal stops her by holding her hand.
Jalal says you are stubborn, but this time, I will let you go, true, I didn’t listen to you, but the truth is that whenever I close my eyes I see you, the truth is that I always think about you. I may say that I hate you, but the truth is… that I LOVE you. I feel for you and this is all because of you, you put heart inside me and now, you don’t have the right to leave me like this, I need you, this is the Kings’s order that you will not go anywhere!
Jodha says your orders and warnings will not work here and you are nothing in front of the King of the universe, nothing will work here, I fulfilled my responsibility, I promised that if in saving you, I perhaps lose my life, then it’s okay I saved you and now, I have fulfilled my promise, I will go. Jalal says you will not do anything like this, you have no right on your life, if you will leave, then I too will die! Now our identity is one, without you, I am nothing and without me, you are nothing.
Jodha says but nothing can work in front of fate, Jalal says I don’t believe, I will fight with fate, but I will not step back, I will do war with all, Jodha says you will not be able to do anything, Jalal says but he will do whom you pray to, whom I bow down to, if he (Jodha’s god) is there, then he will save you, he will not let you go, Jodha and Jalal looks into each other’s eyes.
