Resham informs Maham Anga that Adham Khan is drunk and is creating havoc in his room. Maham Anga again goes to fix her erring and useless son. Maham Anga tries to sort him out, but then, Adham Khan pours out everything that has been hurting him. Adham Khan, very sternly, says she is worried about the function of Jalal’s heir, but he’s so so sad, he thought something bad will happen to Jalal, then he will get the throne, as a result of that, but now, his heir will get it! He kept serving Jalal as a slave and now, he will serve Jalal’s heir too. Does she know how he feels whenever he takes Jalal’s side in front of him, but he always thinks she does that to secure his future, but he thinks, in pretending to be Jalal’s mother, she has actually become his Mother!
Maham Anga along with Adham Khan enters the function where all are seated. Jalal says it’s double happiness, as Adham Khan has won Mathura and Ruqaiya is going to give Mughals its heir. He says every gift is important for me, whether it is small or big, looking at Jodha and says every gifts means a lot to me.
The function starts. Hamida bano gives Jalal a holy book and gives Ruqaiya a shawl. And says I am so happy. Then comes to Maham Anga and gives her gifts. Then comes to Shariffudden and Bakshi and put the gift in her lap and says may you become a mother soon.
Jodha gets up with Bhagwant Das. Jalal looks at her. She gifts her Saffron that is from Kashmir (an area in southwestern Asia whose sovereignty is disputed between Pakistan and India). She says your child will be healthy with it. Jalal ask this is the time, so make her drink now. Maham Anga gives Jodha the milk. Jodha is about to put the Saffron in it when Jalal stops her and takes out the spoon that Jodha gave Ruqaiya as gift.
Jalal says I want everybody to know that this spoon was given by Jodha to Ruqaiya as a gift and says how much small this gift is, but the emotions behind it is true. He asks Jodha to use it. Jodha gives the Milk+Saffron to Ruqaiya.
Ruqaiya thinks Jodha has started behaving like a slave from now on! Jalal insists to have some more milk, as the baby will be healthy.
The dance starts when Jalal gets up, on spotting Rahim. Rahim says he wants to dance and Jalal starts dancing with him. Everyone is surprised and happy to see Jalal and Rahim swaying to the beats. Hamida bano gets emotional too.
Ruqaiya is feeling unwell and says to her mother that she feels like vomiting. Her mother mom says nothing to worry about, as it is normal in pregnancy, and until the baby is born, you will be heavy, so take this fruits. Ruqaiya refused to eat.
Jalal comes and says to her mother that you have fed me when I was an infant, so I want you to look after the Servants today, and to distribute food among them. She leaves. Jalal sits with Ruqaiya and says the ceremony is over, you must be feeling tired, so go and rest. She says I am fine and I just don’t want to give a child, but a heir to his throne, I want to give you a Son. She screams in pain. Jalal ask are you okay? He says I am very happy that you think about my heir and future, that much I feel elated. He ask her to let’s go and have rest. They are walking and Jalal has acted as her support. Ruqaiya says I just want to see that time when you will be playing with your own son, just like you were with Rahim. He ask are you happy becoming a mother or is it about giving me a child? She says I am happy in both ways and waiting for your heir. Jalal says fate is a very different thing, and the throne sets his own King. Ruqaiya sits and says let fate decide whether he will be King or not. She ask in what way is he happy? Jalal says no doubt, he’s going to be a father, and nothing is bigger a blessing than that. Jalal says I have decided that I will not go to any war for one year and I will remain with you here because of what you are going to give me. He says thanks a lot from my heart. Ruqaiya says she doesn’t know as she feels like he has a heart. Jalal thinks for a while and says in the case of a child, I think I have a heart, a heart of a father. Ruqaiya smiles and a little stunned, as she rest on his shoulder.
Jalal is walking. Maham Anga says you called me here? Hamida bano ask what happened? Why did you call us all here? Jalal says I don’t know, but I am feeling different, a little tensed and impatient. Maham Anga says your health is not good, I will call a Doctor. He stops her. Hameeda bano ask how do you feel? He says he doesn’t know, but whenever everyone is around, he feels lonely and when he’s alone, he feels like calling everybody over. Maham Anga smiles and says I will tell you what you are feeling. He ask what? She says you are not able to carry your happiness, as you are going to be a father very soon. The mother gives birth to the child, but the father also feels the happiness. Jalal smiles. Hamida bano says if that’s the case, then there’s nothing to worry about, as happiness has come after such a long time, all thanks to God. Jalal leaves. The women smiles.
Ruqaiya is lying down on her bed but couldn’t sleep due to a chronic pain. She open her eyes and sees blood on her hand. She gets up and screams out for Jalal!! He comes in quickly and he’s shocked to see Ruqaiya crying. He hugs her and she’s super tensed.
Maham Anga comes. Jalal says Aunt, what happened to Ruqaiya? Maham Anga says can’t really tell what happened, but she needs treatment which can’t be done in your presence. Jalal is about to leave when Ruqaiya holds her hand. Jalal lays her down and goes out reluctantly. The Doctor checks Ruqaiya while Maham Anga waits anxiously.
Outside, Jalal is super worried and waits for information to come from inside.
The doctor is checking Ruqaiya who is crying in pain. Everyone is worried. After sometime, Maham Anga comes outside with a sad face. Jalal ask what happened Aunt? Maham Anga is unable to tell. Jalal says to tell clearly. Maham Anga says Ruqaiya has a miscarriage. Jalal is grieved and breaks down. He sits on the ground. Maham Anga hugs him. Jalal says why God always snatch my happiness… He first give me everything, then snatches it away…, he is considered generous, then why all this? Not me, but he didn’t think about Ruqaiya’s pain, as she always prays to him, then why did this happen to her?
Maham Anga says I know you are broken. Ruqaiya is also broken, but can’t question God’s decision. Jalal says he can snatch everything from me – My Kingdom, My Throne, My Wealth, but give me back MY CHILD! Maham Anga consoles him.
Ruqaiya is still in pain. The Doctor is shocked at what she concludes at and checks once again. She ask to make her smell Ruqaiya’s breath. She is shocked and ask Hoshiyar to be with Ruqaiya, while she goes out.
Outside, Jalal ask are you sure? She says yes, it was not a natural miscarriage, but a planned one, and it was intentionally done to her.
Maham Anga ask the Doctor what she’s saying? The Doctor informs her that somebody has given her Thorn Apple’s extract. For a normal person, if it’s given, he will feel just sleepy, but for a Pregnant lady, it can kill her unborn child. Jalal fumes. The Doctor says there was the smell of it in her mouth/breath and I suspect it in her blood, so I am 100% sure. Jalal ask who can dare do this much with Ruqaiya!
Maham Anga says I checked everything that came inside the palace, and there was full proof system, so how is it possible? The Doctor says that the ingredient must have been added after it was tasted by the maids. Also, the Thorn Apple’s extract isn’t from the Mughal kingdom but from outside. She points out suggestively that it was from Amer.
Jalal gets a Flashbacks and Maham Anga as usual also adds fuel to the fire. Jalal tells that it should be proved now, else he will kill her! The Saffron is brought and given to Maham Anga and she also tries to show that she is sleepy. Jalal is extremely angry!
Ruqaiya is also informed that the Saffron milk was responsible for her Miscarriage. Jalal comes to Ruqaiya but she tells him to punish Jodha ASAP, and instigates Jalal against Jodha and asks for justice, cryingly!
Jalal deeply preoccupied, is walking and remembering Bharmal’s words, and when he caught Abdul, there he took a decision once, then he remembers when in was in the royal jail and Jodha put sword on his neck. He takes out his sword, then remembers his words of whether to win the heart or mind, then remembers Ruqaiya’s words that she loves his hatred and he wants to get habituated to her intolerance.
He enters Jodha’s room and a Servant announces his presence. Jodha gets up. Jalal comes and put sword on her neck and in full frustration says Jodha after taking away my sleep, you are sleeping here peacefully! You wanted to take revenge on me, you hated me so much, but why did you take away the life of that innocent unborn child! Jodha panics and ask what you are saying?
He says you planned with your brother and mixed Thorn apple’s extract in the Saffron milk and my Child’s life! Jodha says I didn’t do that. Jalal says every culprit says this! Jodha says what did I do? Jalal says you killed my child! He pulls her to the wall and says like every culprit, you left that Saffron behind, you along with your brothers snatched my baby from me! Jodha tries to say something but Jalal shouts enough!! He says to Jodha that I won’t leave you and won’t let you live or die, I will give you that punishment that you and history will remember for years, only this night, are you free, but after that, in the morning, I will punish you in front of your brothers! He throws her on the ground. Moti is shocked. Jodha cries thinking what’s her fault?
Resham says who can do this cheap thing? Maham Anga says she doesn’t know, but Jalal got to know it’s Jodha who did that. Resham ask how she did that? Maham Anga says from Amer’s Saffron. Maham Anga says I am worried about the one thinking ahead of me, and playing games ahead of me. Resham says Ruqaiya is suffering. Maham Anga says you haven’t seen Jalal’s face, I am sad for him. He was very happy with this news, a happy news knocked Mughal kingdom and left. Resham says, so Jodha mixed Thorn Apple’s extract into the Saffron milk? Maham Anga says all the proves points to Jodha, but she doesn’t know, as she feels even Jodha didn’t know that the Saffron she’s giving to Ruqaiya had Thorn Apple’s extract in it. Resham says it’s getting complicated. Maham Anga says it’s becoming a political issue, as datura was brought from outside the Mughal territories. There is some bigger Mughal’s enemy. Resham says whoever he is, Jalal will find him and give him a tight punishment! Maham Anga says that’s right, but what will happen, as the heir won’t come back. Resham says but you also didn’t want Ruqaiya to be Mother Queen. Maham Anga emotionally says yes, I didn’t want that, as I hate Ruqaiya, but I can’t hate Jalal’s child. Jalal is my son, I can’t hate his heir and cries.
Hamida bano gets the news and prays wondering how this happened? This is shocking, some Ministers and wives talks that it’s political issue now and no longer personal. Amer has set cold war against Jalal!
Shariffudden and Bakshi discuss, and she asks why this is happening to Jalal? Shariffudden says I warned him when he gave back the money taken from Amer’s war. It was my fault that I brought Bharmal’s three (3) sons alive to him, as I ought to have killed them instantly!
Adham Khan says what happened was good – two killed with one arrow. The Child who had the right to Agra’s throne is gone and now, my sword will suck Jodha’s blood!
Hamida bano gets the news that Jalal ordered to capture Jodha and her brothers. She is shocked.
Shariffudden along with his soldiers comes to arrest the brothers. They ask what their fault is? Shariffudden says you planned to kill Jalal’s child, you took your revenge on him! They deny the allegations. Shariffudden tells them to say all this in Court. They leave with him to Court.
Here, Moti says how did this happened? Jodha says what happened with Ruqaiya was very very bad, but Jalal is not doing the right thing by pointing fingers at my family.
The servants comes and says Jalal has called you to his Court. She is stunned.
Hamida bano consoles Ruqaiya. Ruqaiya asks her what wrong has she done to Jodha, who did such a thing with her?
Jalal comes in and says whoever did that, I will definitely punish them and won’t leave them! I have captured Jodha and her brothers!
Hamida bano says he should think with a cool mind and it doesn’t suit the King to hasten his decisions. Jalal says every proof is against them and leaves.
Salima comes and tells that Jodha can’t stoop so low and commit such a heinous crime. She says I feel sad for you, I know it’s difficult for you to bare the pain of losing a Child. But Jodha loves Children and she has come so close to Rahim in just few days. Jalal says you are here to take her side? She says I am saying what I feel. You are a King and you need to give justice… you can’t do anything wrong, you have to be patient and follow what Bairam Khan has taught you, you have to follow him/teachings. Jalal says thanks for the advice and I will follow Uncle’s teaching, as he is my mentor, so I can’t go against his teachings. Jalal is too angry and asks her to leave!
In special Court, Jalal is extremely angry and calls everyone who has been waiting for the arrival of the heir.
A person tells that Thorn Apple’s extract was mixed into the Saffron milk and asks for permission to start the discussion of whether Jodha’s family is involved in mixing the poison or not. Jalal says that there will be no discussion and Jodha is guilty of the crime!
