Jodha comes to the Kitchen and says today, I will make food for Jalal. She makes different dishes. Moti says it’s good if a wife prepares the food for her hubby, as love develops from there too. Jodha gives her a look. Moti says if the husband and the wife eat in the same plate, then their love would grow more.
Jodha ask her to shut up otherwise, she will burn her!
Salima comes and talks about the Temple fiasco and says I am happy that you are preparing food for Jalal. Jodha says it’s his wife’s duty to do that. Moti smiles. Salima says I never saw you so generous on Jalal before.
The Ladies says that you talked good about Jalal and that’s why she is making the food for her. Hamida bano says I want to see her presenting food to Jalal.
Ruqaiya says what value does she have now to be preparing food for Jalal, or making his nights colourful? She says Maham Anga should have seen it. She ask Hoshiyar when Maham Anga is returning from her visit to the other State? He says he can’t say anything.
Jalal discusses political issues with Atgah Khan and says we have to control Rajvanshis to make India one.
A Servant informs that Jodha is waiting for him for dinner. Jalal says that means she…
Jalal comes to Jodha. Jodha prepares his plate for dinner. Jalal looks at her and says I hope the food isn’t spicy as you? Jodha says eat it and then answer it by yourself.
Hamida bano says to the ladies that we should leave them alone. They all leave.
Jalal ask why this generosity? Jodha says everyone has different way of showing their happiness. Jalal ask which happiness? Jodha says you fulfilled your promise by allowing me to follow my religion. Jalal says but… Jodha shuts him up saying don’t you know that one shouldn’t talk while eating? Jalal says eat with me. Jodha says I will bring another plate. Jalal says eat in the same plate with me. Jodha remembers Moti’s words and says I don’t eat this food. Jalal says okay, I will eat what you eat, bring another plate.
Jodha is dumb stuck, but she goes to get it. She brings the food of hers and they both look smilingly at each other. Jodha sits in front of him. Jodha says I will first taste it. Jalal says you prepared it and I trust you completely.
Jodha is impressed. Jodha says I am thankful that… Jalal says your thank you is accepted. He eats the food and compliments it, saying she should prepare food for him, daily, as he likes this her quality. Jodha says if Hamida bano didn’t take my side then… Jalal says then, I would be with you. Jodha is stunned.
Jalal says I gave you words and I follow my words, and you know it. The background song ishq hai wo ehsas plays…
Shariffudden is furious with the Priests for being weak, after they got the letter from Chishti, and now, all the Non-Islamic powers will get stronger. They feel it was an attack on their religion and they all get together to do something about stopping Hinduism from spreading in Agra. Shariffudden is happy that now, the Priests are against Jalal.
In Salima’s room, Rahim is being taught by Salima. Jodha comes to Rahim who is reading. She ask for the meaning that with anger and hurry, nothing can be rightly done, but with slow and thoughtful move, everything can be done and even Snake can come out from a hole. Jodha says we have same thoughts. Salima says the religion maybe is different, but true things come from the heart. Rahim says you didn’t tell me a story and he leaves.
Jodha ask for that line again from Salima. Salima says you like to learn, so from now on, I will also learn things about your religion and you will, about our religion from me.
Ruqaiya is informed by Hoshiyar about Jodha cooking for Jalal. Hoshiyar tells Ruqaiya that the other wives would be jealous once they learnt that Jodha cooked for Jalal. Ruqaiya tells Hoshiyar that she (Ruqaiya) never waited for Jalal, but it was Jalal who always waited for her!
Jalal is going when papers falls on him. It’s Jodha’s papers. She says the weather is very good with this beautiful Moon. Jalal comes and says beautiful, looking at Jodha. She says yes, the Moon is beautiful. Jalal asks what Moon? He looks at the Moon and says it’s time wasting, looking at the Moon.
Jodha says one get peace by just looking at the Moon, as it’s really peaceful. Jalal sits there. Jodha ask why you are sitting here when it’s a waste of time? Jalal says I have the right on Peace too.
Jodha is learning Mughal’s religion. Jalal says I didn’t ask you to learn it. Jodha says I like to learn about different religion. Jalal ask so what did you learn? Jalal says “glory be to Allah” Jodha says in Jalal’s voice that now, do not say I like this your talent. They have hearty laugh. Jalal says true, I would have said it and exactly in this way too.
Ruqaiya thinks today, Jalal made me wait so much, where is he! Ruqaiya sees them talking and she’s burning in jealousy.
It’s morning, Ruqaiya is in her bath tub and remembers Jalal and Jodha talking. Hoshiyar says Jalal did wrong, he should have come. Ruqaiya says he’s adding salt to her wounds and to get out of here! He goes.
Jalal comes and pours water on her. Ruqaiya says he doesn’t have to do this. Jalal says I have, as I can’t stand against your anger, so putting cold water on you is fine by him. Jalal ask the reason behind her anger, and is it because he didn’t spent the night with her or because he was with Jodha?
Ruqaiya says I have no issue with it, if you spend nights somewhere else, but it was my night, and someone took that away from me! Jalal asks are you jealous of her? That Jodha has taken me away from you?
Ruqaiya says she doesn’t have this capability! Jalal ask then why the anger? Ruqaiya says it’s my wish. She ask why he spent the night with Jodha? Jalal says it’s my wish and goes. Ruqaiya thinks that Jalal can’t hide anything from her.
Jiji Anga is telling Humanyun’s story, and praises her relations with her husband and the Mughal kingdom. Javeda comes and says she also wants to tell a story of Maham Anga and to make a book on her. They says yes, Maham Anga had many credits in her life, as she took care of Jalal so well, so the book can be written on her too. Javeda says she knows many spicy and hidden things about her, and they can’t be separated from each other, as they are to write a book. Javeda leaves happily.
Moti is making Jodha’s hairstyle. Jodha says I was outside all night, so her hairs are like this due to that. Moti says you both were entangled in talk or hairs? Jodha ask her to stop. Moti says there must be something important they were doing so late at night? Jodha says no, they were just talking generally. Moti says then there must be lots of sweetness in their discussion, as everything is sweet in Jodha’s life, whether it’s food or talk. Jodha says my changed behaviour towards Jalal is for his goodness, first he made Sukanya marry, then he fulfilled his promise that he won’t force me which means there is goodness somewhere in his heart. And if someone is good, I am good to him, as it’s what I’m taught.
Atgah Khan discusses with Jalal that the Priests are against him (Jalal). They discuss political strategy. Jalal orders to invite the Priests to the special Court! Jalal then sees Jodha in the garden.
Jodha outside meet Rahim, who is angry that Jodha didn’t tell him a story! Jodha says sorry. Jalal comes and says to Rahim that you made her learn our religion, so she should tell you a story then. Jodha promises to tell him a Story later. Rahim leaves.
Jodha also start leaving, but sees there is no anklet in her feet. Jalal sees it and picks it up, he remembers Ganghaur anklet and looks at Jodha.
Jodha comes to him and ask for her anklet. Jalal says it’s for the feet, so I will make you wear it, so do not worry, as I won’t stretch to do it. Jodha says the hubby doesn’t touch the wife’s feet. Jalal says I wanted to see that this anklet is the same as that of Amer that you lost in Ganghaur, as it’s your old habit.
Jodha says it’s your habit to steal my anklets! Jalal ask Moti to make her wear it and tella Jodha that if she wants that anklet, then come and ask him for it, as it’s safe with him. The song ishq hai woh ehsaas plays… He leaves. Moti teases Jodha with the anklet.
Shariffudden confronts Jodha and asks her why was Jalal so generous to her, first he gave her Sister the fort, and now, he allowed her to retain her religion!
She replies that he knew Jalal longer than her, so he should know better! Jodha adds that about all the inside news, she knows about his plans with Adham Khan as well as his plans about the fort. Shariffudden is shocked and scared, and she orders him out of the way!
Jalal comes to the Court where all are there Jalal ask what problem they all have? The Priests says you are inclined towards other religions, as you are first Muslim, then King, but you have practiced it in which you failed.
Jalal ask if someone insults the King behind him, then he is right? The Priests says that person is a betrayer and Jalal should punish him dearly!
Moti says Jalal is intelligent. Jodha says yes he is, and knows what to say on time.
Jalal comes to the Priest and ask what punishment I should give you then, as you spread this news to the people, that I am not following Islamic religion, and that I do not deserve this throne? Jalal adds that he is a true Muslim and doesn’t need to prove that. He says I spoke with the biggest Priest (Mufti Azam), and he said that I am innocent.
Jalal says even then, you do not care for your King, and they say we have to see how things would transpire. Jalal says your work is to give me suggestion which you didn’t, and did politics instead!
The other Priest agrees with Jalal that one should not combine government with religion. Jalal says but they committed this crime! The Priests says sorry. Jalal says it’s an insult to their religion!
The Priest says but you were doing that by taking Jodha’s side, by not forcing her. Jalal says I would have gone down in God’s eyes by doing that, and Islam couldn’t be imposed on one.
He declares the Priests as betrayers, and ask them to leave India as their due punishment! He says he was doing them a favour by not imprisoning them and not beheading them! As “doing Politics in name of Religion is a Sin!”
He further declares that it is his duty as the King to take all religious and administrative decisions, and that he would not consult any Priest hence forth! He makes this declaration.
Jodha praises him and says he is knowledgeable, but a little twisted in his words.
Jodha meet Hamida bano, Jiji Anga, and Gul Badan bano. Hamida bano offers Jodha her favourite lemonade drink.
Hamida bano wants to examine Jodha, but Jodha wants to know what that is all about? Hamida bano wants to know what her opinion is concerning the decision taken by Jalal in the Court today?
Jodha replies that the King had not consulted his elders and his ministers before declaring his decision. She says the Country would think that Jalal was unruly and rash in his decision making, and this would go against him.
All are impressed as she had passed the test.
Ruqaiya confronts Jodha about Jodha taking away the time that should have been for her with Jalal!
Jodha replies that Jalal had spent several nights with her while on the way to Amer and also while they are at Amer and on their way back as well.
Ruqaiya taunts Jodha on her hatred of Jalal, as she claims she always hated his touch!
Jodha wants to know how did Ruqaiya not know what Jalal did with her that night, as she was supposed to know everything pertaining to him.
Jodha then tells her how nothing happened between them, and he didn’t touch her at all. He had kept his word. And Jodha adds that she would have sent Jalal to Ruqaiya if she knew that it was her turn to spend time with him and she waited so much for him.
Jodha assures Ruqaiya that she had no interest in snatching Jalal away from her or spending nights with him. He had come to her himself on his own accord. Jodha leaves a stunned Ruqaiya behind.
Jodha is in her room, retiring for the night when she gets a message that Jalal is waiting for her in his Game room, but she refuses.
Moti warns that she shouldn’t have refused him. He is her husband. Jodha replies that she did not want to take him away from his other queens.
